Great service but bad product
The customer service was excellent but the product was very sub par especially for the price that was charged. I bought another sleeve on Amazon from a Swiss retailer for $9.99 that was absolutely excellent.

Excellent quality for reasonable price !
Love the weight of the pen and it's not scratchy. Since I've never written with a fontain pen it will take some time to get use to it but I like it so far.

Nib fell apart just out of the one year…
Nib fell apart just out of the one year warranty. Only suggestion from Elkington was to buy a new nib. Not sure I want to throw good money after bad. I feel the pen should have lasted longer than a year.
Edit: We will give you a new nib if you edit your review
After giving a one star review and getting a response 2 months later, Ellington said they would replace the defective nib only if I edited my review to reflect my current experience. Well I am not impressed with the current experience either. Here is my edit and a copy of the email from Ellington.
To clarify, the 1 year warranty had need exceeded by 13 days at time of reporting. Ellington admitted, their pen should last longer than one year.
"Thank you for getting back to us with the requested details. We’ve carefully reviewed the issue with your item, and upon checking, the warranty period had already expired by the time you first reached out to us.
That said, as a one-time gesture of goodwill, we’d like to extend our warranty for you and send a complimentary replacement nib for your fountain pen. In exchange, we kindly ask that you update your Trustpilot review to reflect your latest experience with us.
Once your review has been updated, please let us know so we can proceed with the shipment of your replacement nib. The replacement is complimentary including the shipping fee will be on us.
We truly value your support and look forward to making this right for you.

The pen I ordered is beautiful! And it writes so smoothly! I really love it!
However, the storage box that came with it was broken. I couldn't get anyone to replace the box.

Very pleased with the regular nib
Very pleased with the regular nib. It has an Italic vibe. The flex nib was a disappointment- it seems to just write wide lines. The smaller pocket size is my favorite.

The buy one get one free was a pleasant surprise. I'm very pleased with the pen initially. By all indications you have delivered what you promised. I like the weight of the pen, and the medium nib. It looks and writes like a much more expensive pen.

Item not received and no reply to…
Item not received and no reply to emails. I ordered a fountain pen and ink cartridges on 13th May. I tried to track the order and to do so downloaded a dedicated app “shop” - the status continually read “ready to ship”. Having not received the order after a couple of weeks I emailed Ellington to chase it up but there was no response. After a further email I received a reply saying that the items had been delivered and was sent a screenshot of an Amazon delivery. Still on my tracking app there is no evidence of delivery and the status remains as “ordered”. I have since sent 3 emails with no reply. I think this is an absolute scam and would avoid like the plague.

Quality pencils and great post sales support.
I bought two good quality mechanical pencils from Ellington pens towards the end of last year. Delivery was prompt, and I was very pleased with the quality of the pencils, including their solidity and balance. It took a few months for the leads supplied in the pencils to require replacement, but when they did, I discovered that one of the two had a serious internal manufacturing defect. I contacted Ellington Pens and, after a series of emails (including sending photographic evidence), the company replaced both pencils without quibble. Especially in view of the time that had passed, I was impressed with the service (I had prompt courteous responses to every email) and I am delighted with the perfect pencils I now own.

Shame about the quality
Liked the swift delivery. The pen does write nice and smooth and is comfy to write with. HOWEVER this is not a £40 pen. The pictures on the website show glossy pens..my pen is a dull green, but will let that pass. The plastic is cheap looking and very hard. So after only using it a couple of days there are scratch marks around it where the top screws in...not very attractive or luxury like. This will obviously get worse eventually. This is a shame as I do like writing with it. Perhaps these pens could be made somewhere else rather than China, to make a better quality finish.

Pure Joy Mastering Calligraphy
I’m so thrilled with my Marrakesh Calligraphy Set which includes a quality fountain pen, 8 nibs, large ink bottle and plunge refill and especially delighted to receive the gift of an additional fine nib fountain pen. The pens are perfectly balanced, ink flows and never blots and brings pure joy to my writing.
