Ellis & Co Kenton Reviews 

We chose Ellis & Co Kenton as the agency for our first rented property. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing.

Within three months of moving in, several maintenance issues began to arise. Although one or two minor issues were addressed, many others remained unresolved despite repeated requests. Some repairs were promised within a week of moving in, but even after a full year, they were never completed.

When it came time to renew the tenancy, the agency wanted to increase the rent. We agreed to the increase on the condition that the outstanding maintenance issues would finally be resolved. Instead, we were informed that the landlord wanted the property back for renovation and were given notice to leave.

While I understand that landlords have the right to regain possession of their property, being asked to leave after only one year was extremely stressful for my wife and me. We had settled into the property and invested in furniture, expecting to stay much longer.

Having to search for a new home during Ramadan while fasting was particularly difficult. As both of us work full-time during the week, we only had weekends available to view properties. The sudden need to find a new home, move out, and settle elsewhere caused significant stress and emotional distress. My wife's health was affected by the situation and she continues to experience issues related to the stress it caused.

We repeatedly asked the agency to discuss our concerns with the landlord, but we felt that they consistently sided with the landlord and provided very little support to us as tenants.

Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and we did not feel valued or supported as tenants.

Being kept well informed, confidence when viewings were slow early on that things would pick up when the weather improved (& they did), always returned calls, good suggestions made on what could be easily be done to improve attractiveness of property, courtesy from staff & coffee was always welcome 👍

Out of nowhere I chose Ellis & Co whilst being in the area to provide a valuation for the sale of my property. They always say “first impression's”count. I can’t thank Carl & Viren enough for their entire professionalism and patience. Although the sale went through pretty rapidly -May 23 my solicitor “dragged her heels” which meant completion took 9 months and would have been longer if Carl and Viren had not intervened to help expedite the necessary documents, which I had no control over.
I have now moved out of the area, but I would not hesitate to choose them again if they covered the other side of the world!

Viren Desai from Ellis and Co is the best Property Management consultant I have ever come across. We wouldn't have been able to buy the property if it was not for Viren. The complete transparency, agility and responsiveness displayed by Viren became a benchmark for not just property buy but for Service Industry in general which requires high touch for great customer experience.
We always knew Viren is there to help us out through the process and gave us all the required information along with his valuable suggestions and immense knowledge.
