Free trial cannot be canceled online

They claim they offer a free trial, but they will not let you cancel that free trial from the website until 48 hours have passed. For immediate cancellation, you have to go through the "manual flow" which means contacting support via email and waiting for them to get back to you. I asked, and they claim this is because people "accidentally cancel" - but obviously it's just to add friction so you forget to cancel it.

Misleading Results and a Waste of Time

Misleading Results and a Waste of Time

I’m very disappointed with Email on Acid. The platform flagged significant formatting issues with my email HTML on Google Pixel phones, Gmail on Chrome on Windows 10, and more. Based on this, I wasted two whole days trying to fix problems that turned out not to exist.

After borrowing a friend’s Windows 10 laptop to test Gmail on Chrome myself, none of the flagged issues appeared when I logged into my Gmail account. Everything displayed perfectly.

I feel like I wasted an entire weekend due to inaccurate results from the tool. I definitely won’t be recommending Email on Acid to anyone. Luckily it was the FREE 7-day trial and I had not paid for this bad experience!

The price just keeps going up and up

The price just keeps going up and up. They say it’s because of new features that they keep adding, but as a dev I just want to test the email rendering and don’t need any of the other features. They are forcing unneeded features onto the users and are charging them.

EOA, you need to offer different packages. As a freelancer, £100 a month is just not affordable just to test a few emails per month. I don’t want your other features, stop forcing and charging me for them, please!

Very disappointing company ethics

I had a free trial which I forgot to cancel and was charged $179 for. I canceled my subscription on the day I was charged and have since tried to contact the company via email, phone, Twitter and their contact form - with no response whatsoever.
I obviously understand that this is my own mistake for not cancelling in time but would have expected the company to be more forthcoming - or to at least reply to any of my requests.
Quite sad to see that their business relies on such shady tactics, rather than customers who actually want to use their product.

Fraudsters

Very disappointed with the services provided by this company. Appeals in my question were ignored. This company is a scammer. I had a test period. Before the end of the test period, I asked in chat to delete my account with my payment information. The account was deleted, but my card was charged $179 after the test period ended. The services were suspended early. Can you explain on what basis I was charged? No one is responding to my inquiries by mail . My nickname was "komodnik" in the system. Please contact me and get my money back.

The resolution for this issues doesn't…

The resolution for this issues doesn't seem applicable for our client, specially when we were not presenting the issue on litmus or the mobile part of Email on Acid. Also with the pixel sizing information provided doesn't seem that the particular mailings were not going over.

EOA Rocks!

I am a freelance Email Developer, and since I purchased a monthly EOA membership, my clientele has increased by 60%. Clients love the fact that I can test their emails on my own and send them a link where they can see how their emails are rendering. I rarely have to go looking for work now. Love EOA!

A really good product. Some versions in another language would be the fifth star! Thank you

Just two things I've looked at that…

Just two things I've looked at that could enhance the experience on EoA.
1.- Avoid the two clicks I need to do on the main page once logged in to see my projects.
2. Automatically update my test on mobile and desktop devices when I save my changes on the HTML area.

Switched from Litmus after some poor customer service and aggressive sales calls. We tend to use for only HTML/CSS testing rather than the extended marketing tools but in terms of what we use it for I think it's been excellent so far and actually faster and more reliable than Litmus despite being much better value.

Images not rendering

There's a general slowness on the platform and sometimes images are not rendering in the previews.

We are sorry that you experienced slowness when processing a test. This is not normal, but can usually be fixed easily by contacting our support team at helpdesk@emailonacid.com. If you provide them with the test name and HTML, they can help identify the cause for any delays.

EoM doesn't handle multiple emails

If you send more than one email to EoM "simultaneously", which seems to mean within the same second, it intermixes them, showing different emails for different rendered platforms, or no render (perpetual spinning circle) for some platforms.

EoM said that I have to send the emails separately (by which, I think they mean take longer between emails.) That doesn't help me at all.

You are correct that at this time emails need to be received one at a time, at least one second apart and we are sorry that this isn’t quite how you want it to work right now. Originally, this was how our users best worked with the system. We have, however, heard feedback that people have changed how they prefer to send their emails at many businesses, and we have listened! We have prioritized getting this updated one client at a time, and when we are finished upgrading all of our services we will post a notification within the account to let you know.
