Rip off price, no quality, no respect for customer.
Ordered a product through Etsy, a personalised Bag and Towel set for Father’s Day. Cost was £43 roughly.
Bag was a cheap looking one you’d expect to get for less that £10 at a market, very basic, cheap fabric and the slice of towel was ok it’s just a small bit of fabric. I tried to be polite when saying my issue but since inspecting, the bag is poor.
Asked for simple personalisation and she used a text which made my surname look incorrect, I emailed and explained, I’d WhatsApped all my family and friend and none agreed it was legible or acceptable.
Reached out to Nicole, she blamed me for not seeing the font, I noticed the bag and names (think she added font picture after) but it’s irrelevant, a business needs quality control so why would you use an incorrect font? If a family can’t read their own name? How can they be wrong.
Refused to replace it as its personalised, but even though it’s her poor standards she just blamed me, offered for me to buy another at cost, bearing in mind that I reckon the cost was 5-6 times the value of the stuff there’s no chance I’m buying another, she said she could use a text to make it look right, which made me laugh, why not do that anyway? Weird.
Or I could pay for postage back to her, then back to me AND pay for her time to fix it! Ridiculous woman with no customer service! Kept saying she’d had no complaints before, in other names the font doesn’t cause that issue as it’s 2 letters with the problem, the problem is clear as day.
She was arrogant and kept putting it on me like I’m unreasonable for not wanting to give more money for fixing or buying another basic bag for 5x its actual value. When I offered a 50% refund, she then tried to say I was “happy with the bag” you couldn’t win.
ETSY sided with me and FULLY refunded me which they wouldn’t if I was wrong would they! Awful company, no respect or quality control. Cheaper to buy your own stuff and a sewing machine! Can’t be any worse.
Delivery time was ok. That was only positive but excitement in getting it lasted literally seconds!
