Had the best evening at the skate jam session tonight!! Can’t wait for this to be a regular fixture, Jasmine was amazing thanks for having us :) good vibes all round, highly recommended.

My son has been asking for skates for sometime so we decided to get him a pair. My thoughts were who's going to teach him.

Fast forward a couple weeks, I stumbled across empowrs skating class and decided to give it a try. After the first session it just wasn't enough so I have been going ever since. I thought this would be great for my son too so, I took him along to a session.

Like most mums with little ones I was worried about him falling over and hurting himself however my worries were immediately gone after being reassured he will be fine. The teacher was just great, patience and created small games/routines to help them develop the necessary skills as well as providing short 121 time.

What makes it even more fun, is the selection of music which the children enjoy singing too whilst skating. My son has done so well with his progress and his confidence is starting to shine through. After each session his question is 'when am I coming back'.

Thanks to everyone at empowr we will definitely keep coming and would highly recommend.

My kids (age 12 and 9) had skates but didn't have confidence. They both came out of the class with a big smile on their face and wanting to skate lots more with the confidence behind them, the skills and encouragement from Jasmine and her children too. Amazing class. Will definitely go back. Thank you

As a newbie skater I was nervous as I hadn’t properly skated yet and had only done some standing and waddling. With Jasmine’s gentle yet skilled tuition and encouragement I was soon moving, laughing, making bubbles and having so much fun. I didn’t want the lesson to end. Highly recommended!

I have attended two Skate lessons and one Skate Jam and I am seriously impressed!
Jasmine and Tre are the best, very welcoming, calming, patient and friendly 😊
I have learned so many moves already and feel far more confident on my skates because they allow me to simply skate around and practice what has been taught instead of teaching me so many new things in one lesson and then telling me to practice in my own time. I am now a dedicated Empowr skater attending two sessions per week and spreading the word. A great place for beginners and improvers 👍🏽

Instructor Tré and Jasmine are brilliant coaches. They explained and broke down the manoeuvres, which made it easy to execute. They attended everyone’s individual needs to push them and to level up. The experience made my drive from North London worth while. I strongly recommend this class to beginners. Well done guys 👏🏾👏🏾

It was such a lovely experience, I was super nervous about attending but glad I did. Both Tre and Jasmine are amazing put me at such ease whilst learning new skills. Music was great! Will definitely be back

I was having difficulty picking up the basics despite having had 4 skating lessons elsewhere, prior to discovering Empowr CIC. I've improved dramatically since joining this community, after attending just three Skate Jam sessions and one roller skating lesson. The Each 1 Teach 1 thing really works; everyone is friendly and the more advanced skaters are always willing to help beginners. Everyone was so welcoming on my first day. The music is great and it's really good fun regardless of skill level. It's also very affordable, with a two-hour skate costing less than what one would pay elsewhere for just one hour. I now look forward to Thursday nights and plan on attending every Skate Jam session going forward.

I would recommend Empowr CIC to anyone looking for a safe, beginner-friendly space to practice their roller skating and learn new skills. The lesson I attended was very impressive. I get really scared when trying a new manoeuvre, but Tré, the instructor, is extremely patient and supportive, and was able to put me at ease. I will definitely go again.

So grateful to have Empowr in South East London. Their community experiences have been really amazing for both my daughter and I. We have attended the Zumba sessions on Tuesday nights (which I highly recommend as the instructor is vibrant and encouraging). We've attended the Skate Jam on Thursday nights where we were warmly welcomed by Jasmine and the Empowr team who reassured us as beginner skaters that we would be ok and we were, as the team and skaters were all so friendly, smiley, patient, fun and inclusive. I am truly grateful to have found a community where both my daughter and I feel comfortable and look forward to attending sessions regularly.

A great session with great music and even better vibes! Everyone is really friendly and helpful and I feel more confident on my skates now. I just wish there were more sessions and maybe at an earlier time, but other than that I can't fault it!

I've just come from their Beginners Skate Lesson and I have to make this known upfront: It was flawless.

Punctual, welcoming, relaxed, supportive and last but certainly not least, effective tutelage.

Through the near falls, actual falls, and jam skating session, there was pure positivity all around and everyone in attendance got 1-2-1 assistance on multiple occasions.

I walked in with 5 hours on my quads, not much confidence or control. I left 2 hours later with both in spades.

Going to be a regular going forward; there's honestly no better reason to spend £20 on a Monday evening.

I really enjoy going to the skate jams. It’s rare to find an indoor roller skating space in south east London so I’m grateful for Empowr. It’s always well organised with great energy and is a great opportunity to meet new people and get more connected with the local community and also the skating community

I have been attending Empowr CIC skate Jam for a while. What made a difference it's the first time I attended Jasmine was extremely friendly and welcoming. She made me feel as ease. I was attending by myself. It's a nice safe and fun environment when everyone can learn from each others but also you can do just what you want to do, whether is just going around in circle, or join in a choreography. It is a nice place for beginners as well as experienced skater. Everyone is welcome no matter what walks of life. Despite being a little far, I still join the regular Thursday sessions. I highly recommend. It's quite fun.

Love how Empowr take an interest in the community and they are continously providing several new events and things to do at offordable prices for the whole community and anyone who can attend. I have been going to the Skate Jam since it started and it just feels like a family now, they are so welcoming and encouraging especially as a beginner skater. Due to this I have also started going to the Zumba classes they have also started which again, doesn't make me feel out of place and very welcoming and comfortable. I am so excited to see what else they bring for the community not just my community, but for the broader communities also. I highly recommend!!!

I found out about the amazing activities arranged by Empowrcic for the local community and joined the Zumba classes regularly. My experience is very positive and the environment is inclusive, friendly and vibrant!!!

Thursday Skate Jams are excellent. It is very beginner friendly so if you have never skated before, don't worry. There is always someone there willing to help you and to give you tips. Everyone is so friendly. Good vibes, good music and gets your body moving. Highly recommended. So what are you waiting for? Get your skates on!!!

Recently, I attended the skate jam. A good indoor space to skate in. Good facilities too. So grateful for this being local to me in south London.
