Its worth trying

Ive been looking through his content and recently started applying some of the ideas. I haven't noticed any changes yet, but it would be too soon to anyway.

Endmyopia is worth a try even for disbelievers

I have been following Jake's endmyopia posts on FB and his YouTube channel.

1. I have incorporated some of his advise in my daily routine and have found positive impact of his advise. My myopia is less by almost 0.75 dioptre in each eye in the past 2 years.

2. Practical, scientific backed advise like spending time outdoors, reducing screen time, practicing Active Focus has helped take care of my eyes.

3. Advise is free and there is no push for any sale.

Endmyopia is unique and insightful, but you need to invest significant time

Endmyopia is a great resource, offering insights and recommendations to help you help yourself. Many of Jake's recommendations are recommendations I've encountered through my own experience with some of the best doctors and i've seen many, but not often widely discussed. Additionally the group forums offer crowdsourced insights not available elsewhere - its pretty hard to deny real people attesting to real changes. I've also been lucky to know a friend of a friend who tried the program and attested to the quality and his own improvements. The only reason i'm not giving this a perfect score is 1. the resources arent always the best organized - so it does take a lot of time and investment to educate yourself 2. while much information is available free, it can be a bit risky trying some recommendations too early on your own before navigating all resources, and there is little warning of this or hard to find warnings without sifting through a lot of material. So would only ask that there be more clear suggestions of what are must read resources before starting out on your own and warning signs to be mindful of (eyestrain, worsening vision, etc) 3. lastly i dont agree with much of the discourse about a conspiracy theory in the world of optometry, but that doesn't reduce the validity of the actual recommendations

Many ressources for eyesight "rehab" on- and offline. Endmoypia has the most (and important) information IMO.

I've been looking for rehab methods for myopia nd astigmatism for decades. There is a lot of stuff - in books and online. Endmyopia is the best IMO.
Tons of information about science, mainstream ophtalmology, what's the problem with glasses and surgery, myths and facts about eyesight and more.
And of course the main thing: tools for the DIY eye rehab work.

I didn't work on my myopia because I had more dangerous health problems to tackle first and my myopia didn't get worse over time so the eyes had to wait. But now it's time for eye care and what I learned from Jake's site already helped me tremendously for encounters with stupid or misinformed ophtalmologists and optometrists.

Hopeful in this new journey

Just starting on this journey of Endmyopia after living with myopia for years. I have high hopes because being in the medical field, I understand all the jargon and what Jake says about reversing makes a lot of sense to me. Hoping to come back in the near future with even more of a glowing review when it works for me. Thank you Jake for all the content

I have been practicing Endmyopia with my child. By active focus and trying to stay away from screens we are seeing positive effects by reduction in eye power and relaxed eyes. It is a great platform for all. Thank you Jake for such a noble initiative.

Put your doubts aside and go for it 💪🏻

So I started my journey back in October last year and, while I’m still not sure I’ve even found Active Focus 😂 I’ve been diligent with my differentials and have tried my very best to spend more time outdoors and get distance vision time as often as I can. I’ve so far been able to reduce to my second pair of normalised glasses (started at -6 and now at -5.25). 💪🏻

Just out of curiosity, I decided to try on my old -6 specs today and...wow. I can’t believe I used to wear these things. 🤯 I couldn’t even put the fully onto my face! Everything was piercingly, painfully sharp and I had to immediately remove them.

I know I may have been severely over corrected and that my 0.75 progress may still be a ‘newbie gain’, but holy 💩 THIS. WORKS. 🙌🏻

For anyone sceptical of EM and not sure if it’ll work for them, please just put your doubts aside and give this a go. ❤️

I’d also like to note that I work a 9-5 desk job and have definitely not been the best EM student but even I have clearly made some progress here. Even if this is just a lot of ciliary spasm release and not a true gain, I’ll take it for today! 💪🏻☺️🎉

Long time fan. Now to reverse my astigmatism.

I first subscribed to endmyopia five years ago. I began to watch the YouTube videos and it made sense to me from the start and I knew that I was finally in the right place. I had been searching for answers to vision improvement for some time as I hate glasses, I didn’t have them as a child, and I have never gotten used to them and don’t relate to them!

I think Jake is very genuine in what he has learned, and taught, seeking for truth and answers in the glasses world we now live. Besides actually doing it and fixing his own eyesight.

Gleaning from the information I was able to stop any further increases in prescription over those years. However I was a bit confused because my main problem is low myopia and astigmatism and I didn’t have a prescription to work off.

I’ve since got some recent prescription and feel like I finally understand what to do next. Although I keep getting extra questions regarding my specific case. I’ve followed the Facebook group with interest in learning from others, and now hope to join the forum for the deeper insights and to learn from those ahead in this game.

A new beginning

When my child was recently diagnosed with Myopia, it was a rude wake up call! I came across Endmyopia and it opens up a whole new world of possibilities. It doesn’t promise any magical overnight removal of glasses that most of us are wary of. There is a lot of material to go through and a lot of videos, I am so grateful that EM team has the motivation to keep working on this. There is practical, sensible and simple advice. The free 7 day course is a good place to start followed by the EM wiki. I am learning a lot everyday and would love to be back to report our vision improvements in the future.

Works

This is the best and most comprehensive site on Natural Myopia Control / Reduced Lens Therapy. The only downside is that there is so much material, that it will take a long time to go through it. Therefore I'd sugget that you begin with Todd Becker's Vision Improvement by Hormetism, which explains a similar method but using less words. When you have read Todd Beckers material, and you have decided to give the method a try, then you return to Endmyopia.org, to have access to all details that you will need during your journey. Subscribe to the free "Load the guide". It is not necessary to use the paid services, although the "Rough Guide" makes it easier and quicker to find information. I had -6.00 D prescription when I started, and I'm using -4.25 D now for distance, -3.5 D at the computer screen.

DO NOT TRY

Jake steiner. probably not his real name. claims to have put a method of reversing myopia. and sources his theories with cherry picked specific articles that do not even fully support what he claims. axial delongation might be possible through stimulus. and it has been proven in some animals. but that does not have to apply to humans. many people claim to have fixed their myopia through Endmyopia. but i have talked with many Endmyopians who are suffering from eye pain and burning. dry eyes. starbursts. floaters. glare and after images. all after doing the so called"active focus" and when they confront jake steiner. he does not give a satisfying answer.

tldr; your eyes are too precious. do not mess with them with methods from the internet that claim to heal you; go to an actual doctor

One star! 😳 We could probably have reviews like this removed, but I actually like to hear from everyone. In this case the message is legit - do your research before trying any far fetched Internet theme 'health' idea. Search scholar.google.com, see what the science says. Look at what the detractors say. Even I've looked into things that were promising on the surface but really actually not at all safe. So ... be careful indeed.

Now in the case of endmyopia, I'm biased of course. We've been doing this for going on 20 years though and if eye pain, burning, starbusts, glare, etc. were actually issues, there would have to be tens of thousands of them at this point. Our site alone had over 1.2 million visitors last year, our silly Youtube channel has collected millions of views over the years, our forum 90,000 monthly visits. Truthfully the only complaint I've ever heard more than a handful of times is floaters. I added floater risk to our disclaimer. And even that seems is 1) caused simply by increased awareness of existing ones and 2) could potentially happen if you overstrain your eyes. Though even the floater complaint I've not once heard in BackTo20/20 in going on 10 years (our program that follows a structured step by step approach with support - so far less likely to be DIY style self interpretation mistakes).

The topic does come up in our 24,000 member Facebook group very occaisonally but even then every time I follow up it's usually somebody who just started and claims to have gotten floaters. Probably avoid doing endmyopia if you have eye health concerns or existing problems - and if you do endmyopia follow my advice of strain reduction and addressing diopter needs. Don't go all rogue only taking half the advice, and reducing too fast, making radical lifestyle changes, not following our premises. If we do get issues or complaints this is most commonly an issue.

Also note that this is all 'open source', freely available, content I've curated over two decades. It's based on the collected experiences of many thousands of people, and as best we can tell it's a promising set of tools to help reduce your lens dependence. It's not guaranteed, it's not medical advice, it's simply people sharing online about a thing that worked for them.

Be safe, be kind to your eyes, realize that if you don't spend at least 3-4 hours a day doing something that involves distance vision, you're likely spending far too much time staring at screens.

This is a godsend

This is a godsend. Dont believe any review try for yourself. Specially if you have very high myopia like me.
Better than eventually suffering from retinal detachment and glaucoma to try to reduce your number naturally.

Really helpful and informative websites

Prior to finding Endmyopia, I experienced vision improvement gains myself by using reduced prescription contact lenses, so was really excited by the time I found Endmyopia.
There's so much scientific information about our eyes, links to scientific studies/research about eyes, in addition to all the freely available information/videos/resources so anyone can start their own vision improvement journey.
If I hadn't experienced vision improvement prior to finding Endmyopia, I probably would have been more sceptical. However, as I know from experience that the basics behind the Endmyopia method work, I'm grateful to have found a method that encourages better vision habits, rather than just constantly requires you to remember to do eye exercises.
