We have bought twice from Endurance…
We have bought twice from Endurance Beds now. We bought wooden bunk beds and later a king-size metal bed frame. We love both. The only reason for 4 stars, not 5, is that the bunk beds which are supposed to be suitable for adults had an impossibly small clearance between the bottom and top bunks, the gap being just 68 cm (normal is 80 to 90 cm). We had to get Endurance Beds to make spacers and a longer ladder to raise the top bunk by 22 cm. This added £124 to the cost. Having said that I'm very glad that Endurance Beds were able to fix the problem for us by making spacers. The quality of both beds is high - very solid.

Our go to bed store!
Easy to use website, plenty of choice and a wide range of options for a variety of budgets. Purchase was seamless, communication was good and delivery went well. This is the second time we have ordered from Endurance Beds, and will be our go to next time we need to buy a new bed!

Nice quality wood bed frame
Really liked the bed when it arrived, particularly the colour. The slats are very heavy duty and it was easy to out together except no instructions for the middle support for the Super King size we ordered. Would have been nice to have an option for taller bed head as we have a very deep mattress.
It took quite a few phone calls to Endurance to chase up delivery timescales which went over slightly and the delivery company (Panther) were quite disorganised and a few hours later than planned.

Had to threaten legal action, bed incorrect size!
Small double bed made to wrong size, measuring 114cms width, website incorrectly states 122cms. Therefore, my standard 120cm small double mattress wouldn't fit. Also waited over 3 months for bed to be made, when website states 8-10 weeks for this. Company had audacity to try and charge me £50 for bed to be returned, but my Which? solicitor was prepared to go to court over this, stating it was a clearcut case, as Endurance Beds (please note, also known by 'Reinforced Beds') supplied a bed of incorrect size. The worst case of Customer Service I think I have ever come across; they stated it was not their fault, and that I'd have to pay £50 for bed to be collected! Thankfully, my solicitor discovered the name of the company owner, so we could bypass Customer Services, and I informed the owner I would take legal action. Eventually, after several more emails, I was given a 'goodwill' full refund, but an accompanying apology was not forthcoming. I paid for the bed on 20th July, but did not a refund until 25th October '23. This has caused me enormous time wastage, both assembling the bed, then disassembling it, then attempting to package up for return. Astoundingly, I was then warned that if the bed came back damaged in any way, there would be a deduction from my refund! Avoid this company; if something goes wrong, even if it is entirely their fault, they will attempt to bully you into paying a £50 collection fee, and there is absolutely no attempt to put things right. I had to send in umpteen photo's of my evidence for incorrect size, but this was not accepted, and they asked for more photo's, after which, they asked for even more! My Which? solicitor said they had me on 'the runaround', and stated he thought I had been 'treated appallingly', especially as they had zero chance of winning the case, if it went to court. Avoid this company; they will not take responsibility for their mistakes - just get a bed from a reputable company, and save yourself the hassle.

Without going into too much detail, I will like to address some of the comments just so our future customers understand our policies and legality around returning a bed base.
When purchasing from online companies, from the date of delivery customers have 14 days to return their product without providing an explanation. This customer did advise within this lead time of the issues they had experienced.
All of our made to order metal bed frames are made so the mattress sits on the very edge of the side rail, not inside of the side rails therefore providing more support. In this instance the customer believed that the 114cm inside of the side rail to inside of the side rail was the true measurement where the mattress should sit. This is incorrect.
Generally, bed frames are made using metric measurements while mattresses are made using imperial measurements. As such, there is a small tolerance (especially when there are different manufacturers involved) in the sizing. This can lead to a slight overhang and vice versa for the mattress. In this instance, the overhang was 5mm each side.
Due to the above, we would not accept a free return for this bed base on the basis of a fault being present. Therefore, we were charging a £50.00 collection fee which is the fee put upon us by our couriers. We make no profit on this charge. This action is covered within the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013.
We would always advise that if you seeking a free consultation from a legal professional regarding the legality behind a company’s actions, try to understand the broad policies and legislation surrounding a return. Ask them to provide you with this information so you can make an informed decision otherwise you may receive incorrect advice and proceed to the small claims court only to have to pay both your own and the companies admin fee if you lose the case.
At no point did we refuse the ability to refund this customer. We conceded the £50.00 collection fee eventually, as this would’ve saved time long term, and fully refunded the customer the whole balance.

What went right would be an easier question to answer!
A very extended delivery date saw the first bed had a very poor paint job and so returned.
After another very extended delivery they sent the wrong size bed (really happy after having to dismantle the bed).
After yet another heavily protracted delay, with one cancelled delivery, they eventually sent the bed we bought and paid for.
Then came the battle for compensation. While the company asked me to understand that they were experiencing staffing issues they didn't seem to have to understand the issues that they caused in getting us the bed we paid for over 5 months before.
Now please do not get me wrong each member of staff I dealt with were very nice and apologetic which I appreciated and I would like to say that the final product we are very happy with. The bed itself is very well made and if I was rating the product alone it would have been 5 stars however sadly the whole experience left me with customer dissatisfaction, hence the rating.

Great quality product
Great quality product. I got a single bunk bed, it's beautiful and strong, I got under bed drawers as well, which is great. Also managed to split the cost in 3 instalments, though the bed is definitely worth the price. Also Great customer service, friendly and professional.

Top quality bunk bed
Really happy with our kids new bunk bed.
The bed is made out of really good quality thick wood .
We looked at a lot of other bunkbeds and this one is easily the best.

High quality bed frame and mattress
From ordering to delivery, everything went smoothly. The bed (Bronx metal bed frame) is very sturdy and quality is excellent. I love the mesh base. The Willoughby 2000 mattress is dreamy - a very good night's sleep! My only suggestion would be notification closer to delivery with an approximate date for delivery.

We use couriers where the customer can book the date of delivery. The timeslot will always be sent the night before that delivery send via email and SMS.

Terrible customer service
We paid for “white glove” delivery and assembly which they failed to provide - they left the bed in pieces on the wrong floor of the house saying it wouldn’t fit. We paid another company to finish the job. Endurance refused to reimburse us for the “white glove service” they failed to provide.
