I contacted ECS for a commercial EPC certificate, they were very active till the fee was paid. Following the Assessor visiting the premises, a week after the fee payment, the assessor suggested the certificate would have been issued between 5/7 days. In the second week of waiting for the certificate, I contacted the company asking for information, they started to give me a variety of different reasons of why they could not issue the certificate, first it was not ready, than they claimed technical issues, then the certificate was ready but could not be issued, than the certificate was not ready, than they start to tell me it will be sent next week..., so on and so on.
In the fifth week of waiting and not having any more responses from this company ,I had no choice but to contact a different company, which managed to issue the EPC certificate with in 3 days.
I never had such a bad experience like this in the past. I had to pay two fees to obtain the EPC certificate and now they stopped responding to my e-mails, requesting for the fee reimbursement.
Avoid this company at all cost, if I could I would give zero star.

ECS’s assessment was on time, expert and helpful with explanations at the time. The subsequent report (issued same day) was clear and thorough.

This firm has been working for me for 4 years now, they did all the test I needed for my tenants and everything has been working like clockwork.
They are easy to get hold of by phone and by email. I cannot fault them in any way.

He phoned me ahead of time to say he’d be half an hour until arrival which was good to know.
He was friendly yet professional, very knowledgeable on what he was doing and gave me useful info on the different types of tests he was doing in the flat
The whole process of the 3 tests took about 30/40 mins
Pleasant experience and will book again when the certificates expire

Avoid at all cost, paid for EPC 3 months ago and still has not been issued, ignored all communication multiple times

Booking was simple with polite communication and the assessment was done punctually.

Booked and paid for the landlord checks online. Next day received an email to confirm the date and time. Very happy with the service given Simon who did the checks was very friendly and knowledgeable and promptly sent over the certificates next day. Will be using this company again.

IMPORTANT UPDATE.
Customer service MINUS 1000/10 - Simon has hung up on me after telling me that my 'refund is with google' after pointing out that I have left a negative review earlier. That's after contacting them 10 times in the last 6 months and they STILL HAVEN'T ISSUED A REFUND FOR A SERVICE THEY HAVE CANCELLED THEMSELVES.
I will have to go to court about this by the looks of it.

Diabolical company to deal with, I have now been waiting since september 2024 for all the documents. Simon has made numerous excuses and they do not know what customer service is. The office will take your message and pass it on etc, but never had a call back or suitable reason other than " we are really busy "

Would offer zero stars for the utter lack of communication and documented missed calls from me

New trick of Simon Rourkes company is to answer the call and then give me the usual script...." Simon is currently unavailable please leave a message"....soon as the call is disconnected they block that number....if i call from a new number same process again, so no real way of getting through to the man in charge and we are at the 10 month mark now and still no signs of competence or delivery or a refund!

Really impressed - friendly and fast service. Called for info one morning, got all the details I asked for - really helpful and clear (there were no pushy upsells like some of the others I called). They arranged a survey the next day and were really helpful in keeping me posted on the arrival time. Surveyor was great, (Simon) knowledgable, the checks were done in no time and the cert received later that same day! Had the choice to pay on phone at my convenience or pay with card to surveyor (which I did and received email receipt straight away). Whole thing was turned around in about 24 hours and each interaction was helpful and friendly! Very impressed and highly recommend.

Simon was very helpful, gave explanation to any questions I had, as wasn’t too familiar with all the Legionnaire legislation etc.
Simon carried out the risk assessment quickly and effectively, and would definitely recommend his and the companies services.
Will definitely use the services of Energy Cert Scotland again at my property.

Efficient, very friendly, true to their word. Their website is very intuitive to use, and back office staff are very good in replying to queries -- even simple ones. It's the second time I used Energy Cert Scotland, and continue to be pleasantly impressed by the service and professionalism. I was requesting an EPC with some urgency, and they were able to find a slot for me. The assessor arrived when he said he would, very pleasant and professional in his dealings. Really really pleased with the company.

Not the absolute cheapest (other 'solo' assessors offering c. 20% less in cost), but there is the reliability of having the assessor come in when it's convenient to us, and even small things like using a company email address instead of a personal one.

Overall, very pleased, can't fault Energy Cert Scotland.

I had a fire risk assessment carried out and found the assessor to be professional, polite and very knowledgeable. I received my risk assessment a few days after the appointment and the actions I need to take to improve my property are very clear and helpful. Would highly recommend.
