Sam Patel

I have been dealing with Sam for 6 or 7 years. He has always managed to find the right deal for Fareham Methodist Church. He is very proactive, ringing back at appointed times to suit me. The paperwork is clear and sent through efficiently.
The last tariff secured just as prices started to rise was cost effective. Sam managed to negotiate an early deal for our Gas so that we could benefit from pre-increase rates.

Sam Patel did a very good fixed price …

Sam Patel did a very good fixed price deal for both our village hall and church of which I am treasurer approx 3 years ago. When they came up for renewal he did the same job again. The contracts of 3 years ago proved to be very good value and saved us alot of money. Is is too early to say if the new deals will be so good as it depends on the world energy markets.
Sam was helpful and pleasant to deal with.

Sam Patel, as an energy consultant obtained for us competitive prices for gas and electricity which helped us to save sizable sum. He is knowledgeable, can answer questions simple and compex and did give us a number of quotes for us to decide. Happy with the service

Very good service provided

Sunny was really good at explaining the details: very patient and willing to reschedule meetings at short notice. He sorted out the contracts quickly and we got a good deal at the end.

My only wish list item would be to show that the service is engaging as many energy suppliers as possible to give clients the satisfaction of better value-for-money

First pretended to be OVO energy

First pretended to be OVO energy. Then went through 3 charity committee members to try to get our energy supplier details. Then after being told No, Go away because we don't want a fixed price contract at the moment by the 3rd person they recontacted the 2nd one and tried again to get our details. This cold calling, hard sell company should be avoided and hung up on every time.

A positive experience

Our experience of using Energy Prices Direct was a helpful and positive one. Rose Williams was clearly a well informed consultant who was able to answer all our questions and made what would have a rather difficult transition so much easier. We would no hesitation in recommending their services to anyone looking to reduce their monthly energy related outgoings.

Doesn't understand the meaning of NO

They initially called implying they were calling on behalf of EDF. After telling them that I am no longer interested in their service, I have still received almost daily telephone calls and emails. Every single time they are told that we are not interested and yet they continue harassing us.

Sam is very good at his job and always…

Sam is very good at his job and always looks for the best deal for us albeit a little to forceful on the phone at times; although I do see that as his passion to sort the deal.

Sam is very good at explaining all the jargon and is always very good at communicating.

Genuine guy.

Acting for a village hall where you are…

Acting for a village hall where you are effectively spending others money you need to be sure you can find and do find the best deals available to keep costs as low as possible. Dealing with Sam Patel at "EPD Ltd" has meant this has been easy to achieve. He has continued to find the best deal for us and provides the information required to easily explain to others why the tariff we have chosen is the best for us and therefore all hall users. All in all can recommend and thanks for your continued help.

An erroneous switch complaint handling

An erroneous switch was instigated by this company, i.e. they supplied incorrect details to a supplier which caused my gas account to be switched without my authorisation. Then when I contacted them to complain I would not be put through to the actual company but was promised by the answering service that I would be contacted within 24 hours. This has not happened and I am still waiting over 2 weeks later. This company clearly believe that they do not need to worry about complaints as evidenced by their website: "The procedure

Only after people's money with no customer service, I guess this is due to the fact that they probably don't consider me to be a customer since the information they supply is incorrect.

Sam Patel has been diligent in checking our energy prices which has enabled us to have some savings. He works with great ethics and explains the process more than adequately. He is well versed in explaining the different companies and their prices. I am happy with his service.
