Gemma

Gemma! I do not know how to put into words what you have done for me and my family. My son has his Mother back, the stress that I have endured due to EON has been detrimental to my health. I only reached out to you on Saturday and you have done what I tried to do since September in a DAY! You are incredible and you have restored my faith in humanity! This group is needed and people like you are needed! I am in absolute awe of your knowledge and you. You are a force to be reckoned with! Thank you 🙏🏻

I cannot thank Gemma and her team…

I cannot thank Gemma and her team enough for the help and support I've had tonight. I have had no electric since 1pm today. I'd called British Gas three timew and the call agents had put the phone down on me. An agent was supposed to call me back at 4pm. This didn't happen either. As I was ringing for the 4th time, I remembered this wonderful group and decided to message. I got a response pretty much straight away from Gemma. She was there to save the day. Gemma rang her contact at British Gas and within the hour I was put on the call out sheet for 3 hour response time. I have an elderly father in the property and 2 young children so I needed help asap.
Gemma was there throughout asking me how I was, even called me when her contact couldn't get me as I was out of reception.
The engineer came at 7.45pm and we now have light.

I am so greatful. I would have been rocking back and forth in a corner (with a candle lol) if I didn't have Gemma and her team support me tonight.

Thank you so much Gemma. I was struggling to keep up with my utility bills and she offered loads of help and advice. I now have a nice warm blanket and octopus are matching my payments for 6months 🥰

I cannot thank Gemma and her wonderful team enough. I'm truly grateful for all the help and advice given to me. I was struggling with my dads outstanding electricity bill after his recent death and was getting very upset and frustrated with his utilities company. I asked for advice on the Facebook page and Gemma reached out to me. Within a couple of hours Gemma had put me in touch with a lovely lady called Sharon who spoke to me with compassion and empathy. She talked me through everything and got me sorted. The relief I now feel is wonderful and I'm now not stressing. Also because of my bad experience with the utilities company they are sending me flowers which in my opinion is a lovely gesture. Thank you both from the bottom of my heart, your both my knights in shining armour xxxx

Received help

I reached out to Gemma for help with a heated blanket for me and my Daughter due to our health problems keeping warm is best, but with the cost of having the heating on i just can't afford it. But I'm so grateful she sent us a heated blanket so now we are always warm. These people are such caring Angels xx

I was sent so much valuable information and guidance, I was amazed and would highly recommended anyone to Gemma.

I have been so horribly misled by this group and their leader!
Be so careful with them. It was a costly mistake for me! Such bad advice!
Really awful advice given!!!

Now ESAUK is trying to have this review removed unless I send them my private email address and phone number. Why are they flagging honest reviews they don't like? Not everyone has had a good experience! TP need to look into this!!

As for their response, calling people "balding old men" just shows how unprofessional and rude they are!

I've had to edit this numerous times now as they're determined to hide the truth and kept flagging it. They're not worth my time.

Let us explain what has actually happened with your Trustpilot review compared to what you have claimed!

So your review states "They have been asking people for 5 star reviews on here! I can't believe it!" We actually thought you were Victor Meldrew reading that last part and had a picture of an old balding man at his PC typing this! When we realised you were actually serious, we checked all 2 people that we have invited to leave a review and funnily enough not one was asked to leave a 5 star review. That's because it's against Trustpilot guidelines to ask people to leave 5 stars. It's not against their guidelines to ask for reviews. So we highlighted that to Trustpilot because that means that the review is wrong.

As you made a serious allegation we also asked for your information so we could investigate it further. However you have failed to provide more information as we still haven't had any dealings with anyone called Jo Bennett. Therefore we don't believe that this review is genuine.

What we do believe is that you may be part of an online hate/smear campaign that is aimed at us. Either that or you're one of the admin of a Facebook group that has stolen a members details and is now posting pretending to be them. After all that's happened before and we have the evidence of that.

For that reason, we won't be speaking to you directly anymore. Everything will be through Trustpilot. Thank you so much for providing us with that independent witness.

Speaking of witnesses, we'll quote The Bill for our next part. The saying may have changed a bit over the last 15 years but as our admin aren't the ones who have been spoken to by them we wouldn't know!

I reached out to Gemma as some elderly…

I reached out to Gemma as some elderly family members had a situation that needed a second opinion .
It was happening quickly and the response was quick and supportive, I passed on the information given and the situation was resolved within 24 hours. Having someone to respond with accurate information took a lot of pressure off and it meant we could have the situation sorted quickly and with minimal stress.
We then had a kind follow up message from them to ask how it had all gone and checking it was all now ok . Really appreciate this Thank you.

Amazing kindness

I was recently gifted a slow cooker by the lovely Gemma and team. So grateful for this as it will help me save energy. What a lovely, supportive group. Always there with advice and even practical help when they can. It's heartwarming to hear of the amount of people they have helped by mediating with energy companies. Thank you so much for your commitment and time Gemma and your team.

Extremely compassionate.

I was gifted an electric blanket for my 2 young sins to share to try save on my gas as I’m using alot, this arrived today after only being ordered before the weekend. Of all days for it to arrive was my son’s 8th birthday so it made him extra happy as he saw it as an extra present. Both demanded it out straight so they could sit with it over them and on to share as they were both ‘cold’ excellent service and very compassionate to my situation, thankyou so much Gemma,

The truth seems an alien concept at ESAUK.

So, Evo says the group continues to grow. Well, in June 2024 they had 131.9k members, today they have 127.7, (edit March 2026 down to 125.5 🤣) now I make that a loss of at least 4200 (now 6400) members. Maybe more if people are still joining. Are they the disillusioned who have left, the lied to or those that have spoken out and been booted out and blocked?

The group was, once upon a time, really useful, really helpful, a veritable fountain of good, sound advice from a team of very knowledgeable, caring admin & moderators. Then someone was outed for allegedly having their ‘hand in the till’, failed to answer reasonable questions about the allegations or provide any explanation at all. Which lead to all the helpful, knowledgeable people leaving.

The group is now a shadow of what it once was, no longer busy, vibrant and helpful. Some posts actually go unanswered, some left to well meaning members to try and answer, some answered by the few remaining admin, who to be brutally honest, quite often haven’t got a clue what they’re talking about.

Can we see evidence please

As a community member I read the self proclaimed statement you posted. I’m also in another group and have read their counter statement with plenty of evidence attached. At least provide something official so we as members can be assured. With all due respect yours is just your own words. At least with something official to back your own words it might help you in the long run

Why do you suggest that reviews you don’t like are false and attempt to get them removed. People have different user names on platforms as you well know it does not mean they are lying. Thanks for your second review. Seems you really do love us given that 100% of your reviews are about us! We're honoured!

Back to your review ( which Trustpilot aren't counting BTW!) we have always said that we will make evidence available when the time is right. Guess what? It's not the right time! We're a company of our word so as the timing isn't right we haven't issued it and we won't be bullied by you or anyone into doing anything.

I mean none of our admin have spoken to the police but we've all watched episodes of The Bill! I know it's been a while since that aired but when it did, the cops didn't hand evidence to the criminals. That may have changed nowadays! Have you spoken to the police recently? Do tell us if their process has changed!

By the way we weren't able to find anything in our group from you so we believe you've either lied to Facebook or Trustpilot. Either that or you're part of the online hate/slander campaign. Therefore this is the last time we will speak to you as even Trustpilot have wised up to what you're doing. We haven't even paid them a dime! They just like people to be honest.

Little life lesson for you Daniel, don't believe everything you read on the Internet. Especially not in gossip groups.

What a bizarre response from ESAUK

If you want Ivo's reviews removing just ask him - he can do it with one click.

I don't know what The Bill is. There is no bullying here. As far as I can see there are facts from the other group who have published court papers including a CCJ

I will stay in both groups as I can then see both sides of the story.

TP only remove those flagged by you.

It isn't very mature of you to tell me to FO. Says a lot about you.

Answer to Ivo.

I have read the statement. The difference between the HE & ESAUK is that the HE shows the CCJ & that the case you attended in Burnley was struck out. No case. If ESAUK have the same standard of evidence then do as HE have done and publish it.

I am in this FB group & the Home Energy Matters group.

According to the HE group ESAUK have had a CCJ issued against them and also lost another court case.

The ESAUK group doesn't mention these & they say everything has been cleared.

I've posted this as an experience as this affects my trust in the group

We have always said that we will say something when the time is right. The time isn't right so guess what?! We haven't said anything! We're a company of our word and we will not be bullied or harassed by anyone including you to do it sooner.

As for Ivos reviews - we've been trying to get them removed from Trustpilot. The trouble with Trustpilot is that they have rules and don't remove it because it allegedly doesn't breach them. If you see them then please report them as that would really help us! Thanks for agreeing to do this. Whilst you're doing that, have a read of their rules and maybe you can work out why they keep removing your reviews. Fortunately Trustpilot have wised up to the fact that you're part of an online hate/smear campaign. Maybe want to check if they allow bullying/harassment because all of your reviews are about us. Think of Trustpilot like Big Brother. They can see everything about your reviews.

We'd like to quote a brilliant TV programme for the next part - The Bill. Now none of our admin have been warned by the police but from people we know who have been it's very lifelike! You've mentioned that you're in our group and as we don't like bullies in our group we'd like to suggest that you Foxtrot Oscar out of it. If you don't know how to then DM our page and we'll remove you.

This will also be the only response that you receive from us because we do not entertain people that bully/harass us.

Statement with no evidence...

So I read the statement written by this company. They state they are exonerated following investigation. Where is the evidence? this statement is just someone saying they are clear. Surely you would include evidence to validate your own words.

Where are the documents to validate this statement.
The other party have provided lots of evidence...
Accounts overdue, claiming to be hacked a lot of issues here that do not provide customer confidence.

No idea of hate or smear campaigns, yes I am a member of several energy groups as are most people. I can only find 3 reviews written in a period of 15 months due to your constant flagging.
What is the reason you become triggered by other peoples honest opinions.
Interesting data when I clicked on company info as suggested by another reviewer and can see you flagged 59 reviews 72 times. Not Trustpilot as you claim but you ( more lies in the GH show).
You also pay a subscription to TP and before you start with more lies it is clear to see on TP.
I see in another response you try to deny this. Hey the truth is out there for us all to see with evidence. Your replies on this forum just validate your unprofessionalism it's rather embarrassing

Anyway back to review number 4. Thank you so much for providing that information. That's really just proved that you're part of the hate/slander campaign so we think it's best we no longer correspond with you. I know it's sad to bring this love story to an end but there'll be other companies for you!

We said that we'd comment further when the time is right. That time is not now so guess what? We're a company of our word and when we say we're going to do something we do it and we won't be bullied by anyone including you into doing something sooner.

One tip though, don't believe everything that you read on Facebook. Or even on the Internet! If I was to believe everything I read on the Internet, The Bill would have been revived as a programme 500 times in the last 14 years. Shame. Great programme!
