What has happened to Country life spreadable? It used to be my goto butter spread. However, they have not only reduced the package from 500g to 400g for a similar price, but they have also changed the mix of ingredients so that it is difficult to spread! If nothing changes soon, I will be looking for an alternative.

Countrylife butter was the only butter myself and husband would use. However, the ingredients have changed it is now majority made up of rapeseed oil (which is bad for the land) and vegetable oil. It's not spreadable anymore, even though it states 'spreadable' highly disappointed. The price of the butter has increased. Now for 750g it is £6.25! We like countrylife as it was British Country. Not now it's made of an oil that's really bad for the land, (what is it doing to our insides). Quality has reduced but prices have increased.
Ive recently noticed thay have introduced a 'cost saving' by removing the foil inner cover that protects their country life butter should the outer lid get displaced. Not exactly hygenic is it? makes me wonder what could happen in the supermarket shelves should an outer lid get displaced - open to all sorts of bacteria.
