After discovering the dreaded weed in mine and my neighbour's garden in May, I contacted Environet for advice. They weren't the only company we contacted but they were definitely the most thorough. After the initial survey, the representative's report laid out our options and we agreed the best course of action was full excavation with follow-up surveillance. Communication with Environet was excellent, they answered all our questions which helped inform our decision and a date was arranged for the excavation at the end of July.
The guys who came were brilliant. They took great care with our gardens/fences, keeping disruption to a minimum. They were almost forensic in their determination to identify all the roots and all soil was sifted before being returned to site. The guys showed us exactly where the rhizome started and where it had spread. They even checked neighbouring gardens.
There is no escaping the fact that dealing with knotweed isn't cheap but the service provided by Environet ensures peace of mind, so we were very satisfied.

From the moment we found Japanese knotweed growing at the back of the garden and in the neighbouring property of our recently purchased house, Environet has been fantastic and has acted quickly to sort out the problem for us! Everybody that we have had contact with at the company has been very knowledgeable, understanding, and truly professional.
Amber came out to do the initial survey for us. She inspected the whole garden and explained to us where the knotweed rhizome (roots) were likely located and where we should therefore stay away from. She produced a thorough and professional report within 48 hours and outlined our options for treatment as well as indicating where would be okay to fence off our garden until the works had been carried out. There were a few months between the survey being conducted and the treatment taking place in which Amber was very happy to speak to us over the phone regarding any queries and concerns we had. She also quickly responded to our emails with photos of other plants that we noticed growing in our garden and put our minds to rest by identifying them as NOT Knotweed. We had several quotes and surveys conducted at the same time by competing companies but none of them were as comprehensive as Environet's. We were also not impressed with the knowledge of the other companies' surveyors at all.
Environet also put us in touch with some lawyers that are fighting our case at this moment in time.
With regards to the works, we initially chose the herbicide treatment as our neighbour was happy with this option too. However, we had a few problems with our neighbour and had to change our plans after a couple of months. Environet was very accommodating to us and was able to draw up other quotes for different options without any hassle.
Eventually, we chose to have a Resi-Dig-Out and root barrier installed along our boundary. Katie organised the work over the phone and email and was always contactable.
Jason and his team conducted the dig-out and installation of the root barrier and they were fantastic. They explained everything they were doing and what they had found. The boys dug to a depth of 2m and sorted out all of the Knotweed roots by hand. It took them 3 days to complete the work and we are very happy with the result. Jason and his team worked very hard in summer conditions to complete the job and worked without disturbing us and our home-run business during the three days.
Overall, we cannot recommend or rate Environet and its employees highly enough. They might charge a little bit more than competitors but you can rely on them to complete the job to a very high standard. We can now relax and enjoy our garden (like we originally planned to) with the assurance of an insurance-backed guarantee if the knotweed comes back. Do not go anywhere else if you have Japanese Knotweed or any other invasive plant species in your garden!
Thank you to everybody that we communicated with at Environet UK.

I had a full explanation of the procedure to remove bamboo from Environet’s friendly workers and office staff. The removal was timely and efficient. Return visits are required and planned to complete the process and I hope the spread will then be controlled.

Great service. I had invasive bamboo in the garden but I live abroad so needed a bit more communication.
After a chat on the phone I had a full picture, and afterwards they sent a full report with pictures. It was very reassuring and worth the money.

Richard responded promptly to my email asking for confirmation on whether photographs of a plant was Japanese Knotweed. This was free of charge. Thank you Richard.

Bamboo Removal. Very professional operation with good communication and completed ahead of schedule
They took care of the access issues using the smaller digger to get through the gate
The only reason I have not given 5 stars is that the skip was left blocking my garage for a week causing me to call and chase several times. I appreciate that the skip was subcontracted but given the high overall cost they should get a more reliable supplier.

Environet undertook a dig and dump to eradicate knotweed from my garden. It was a tight space and turned out to be a much more complicated project than estimated but the Environet team saw it through to the end. In particular, Sam Moss was instrumental in getting the job done when things got complicated and was very communicative to put my mind at ease. This is a company that really gets the job done, even when the knotweed threw unexpected surprises at them! I would highly recommend.
