Good jacket - postage hassle

I had to pay £7 for underpaid postage. And it also, therefore, took a long time to arrive. Espokes established that the Post Office was at fault, helped sort a refund and gave me a voucher for next time. Not a great experience but great customer service. Thanks

Thank you for your feedback! I’d like to clarify the details regarding your delivery. Your order was placed on Saturday, October 5th, and the jacket was delivered on Friday, October 18th. Our website does state an estimated delivery time of 3–10 working days, and your order fell within that timeframe.

Regarding the postage, our packages are weighed by the post office, and postage fees are charged accordingly. If they charged you more, please send us a copy of the receipt, and we’ll look into this for you. Additionally, Royal Mail held the item from the 15th due to a request not to deliver mail to your property. If this was also to do with the extra charge you incurred, please can you email us the details so we can investigate further.

Unacceptable Postage charged at £6.99 for two cycle…

Dispatch time 3 to 21 days - Shipping charge £6.99 for accessories priced to £20 £.699.
Fully aware of above terms, I nevertheless expected next day delivery for a shipping charge (Postal charge) of £6.99 for two cycle valve caps! It didn’t happen, items took a number of days to arrive, but did arrive on the last day of Espoke’s delivery window! Questioned this with seller and reason why they charge so much for such small items and don’t actually deliver, Next day? Actual postal cost + envelope £3.25! Seller suggested difference charged was to cover admin and handling, I rejected this stating this should come out of their profit on the item and demanded refund of difference, they failed to respond, clearly I hit a nerve!

Exact replacement of safe-cycling mirror

I did a Google image-search for a direct replacement of the bike-mirror which I had broken. The first picture was from Espokes. I ordered a pair of the mirrors which arrived on the second day, in time for me to replace the missing one and to catch clear sunny day's ride. These excellent mirrors let me see vehicles behind, AND then to show the drivers that I have seen them, on narrow winding lanes, and on a fast B-road, leading to safe and harmonious cycling.

Fabulous E-bike Shop.

A familiy run business gave an impression of the personal touch, sadly missing in many of the larger chain businesses. From the day I entered The Espokes shop in Wincanton, Laura kept me well informed and updated for the purchase of my Gazelle Ultimate 8+ e-bike, which performs perfectly. I love riding it.
After sales service has also been very good. Travelling from Taunton for the 6 week service they went the extra mile to make sure I could collect the bike the same day. A super e-bike shop I would recommend to everyone.

We had to knock on the door to be let…

We had to knock on the door to be let in, once in we were made to feel like potential thieves throughout our visit. I picked up a bike to feel the weight and was told to put it down as it would knock over other bikes. My wife took a photo of a bike we hadn’t seen before and was bluntly told “no photos, delete it !” The displays had been removed from the bikes, there were no prices on the bikes and the saleswoman had to phone someone for a price . Visited a number of bike retailers, this was our worst experience by far. Suggest you visit Rock and Road in Yeovil for some customer service training.

Mine was a bit of an odd one...

Mine was a bit of an odd one.... A slow puncture in one of my wheelchair wheels. Old-fashioned skills involving a sink of water diagnosed a leaky valve. 2 new tyres and one inner tube and I'm back on the road. Excellent service and a warm welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Many thanks.

I’d highly recommend Espokes

I’d highly recommend Espokes. They not only gave a bike I am wondering whether to buy a very detailed check-over including computer diagnostics and full written report, all for a very reasonable price, but were then incredibly helpful and generous with their time and knowledge in answering all my (many) more general questions. Outstanding! I will definitely never go anywhere else!

Lovely ebike shop in Wincanton

Lovely shop in Wincanton. Lots of lovely ebikes. Received some cleaning items. Prompt service. Had a service for my Jorvik Jet e and she’s come back as good as new. Thank you Howard. Lovely to meet Laura. And special thanks goes to Lou who has made me feel really welcome and inspired. She has also made me want a few of those bikes. 🤔 it is wonderful to have such a wonderful place so close to be able to cycle to. Thank you.
