Thomas, the person that deals with rentals, and Joe White, the manager of the chaos that is called Countryside could not be more disappointing, unprofessional or useless if they had tried.

Thomas’ advice that led to 6 weeks of delays following a leak from their managed unit to mine, together with Joe’s condescending scapegoating only highlights their inability to take responsibility of a property they earn money from.

I would not recommend using them for running a bath, much less running a property!

Anthony was fantastic throughout the process of purchasing our property! He was in constant communication throughout and we always knew exactly where we were with the process. He ensured that we completed without any speed bumps and we really appreciated his involvement throughout!

Has a sweaty man come round and take mediocre photos of our place making it look almost smaller than it actually was. Tried to craft his way into getting us to spend more money and customer service is a solid 0. Half of the team was away on holiday and there young employees had no interest in helping us at all. It gave “as long as i get my pay check”. Don’t recommend.

Hollie looked after the sale of our parents' home in Westcliff on Sea, after they passed away last year. She was attentive, letting us know details of viewings and passing on feedback. When things were a little slow, she would encourage us with positive words. A really professional company that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend

Recently completed on a house in Rayleigh using the Leigh on sea branch, Hollie was efficient and professional at all times, answered calls in the evenings and weekends and couldn’t do more for me, made the process from start to finish very easy, would definitely buy from Essex country side again.

We recently sold our house through Essex Countryside who quickly found us a buyer. It proved to be a most difficult time to get the legal aspect of the sale through and in this regard we must credit Hollie who was most helpful and her dedication to get the transaction completed over a long period was exceptional. Essex Countryside was paramount in assisting me to purchase the right property within my budget and requirements. The staff at the Leigh on sea branch, especially, Hollie are very friendly and dealt with the exchange/Completion professionally.

It is very easy to say that all you need to do to sell a house is to put it on Rightmove, but in the current market, this is not the case.

Our house was at the top end of the market which has seen the greatest price volatility. Anthony successfully negotiated our sale and that of our purchaser to ensure the completion of the sale.

I viewed a property in Westcliff and was told by Megan it would be ready at the end of April for a swift completion so I paid a £1000 deposit in good faith on that basis. I had to constantly chase them, being passed to various members of staff who seemed to have no clue what was going on or tried to help, and they rarely got back to me. The date moved to the beginning of May, then end of May and then suddenly end of July. By this time my mortgage had expired and the rates had more than doubled for the same product, therefore forcing me out of the market for this property. Completely outside of my control.

I asked Anthony if under the circumstances and after all the issues encountered if I could please have the £1000 deposit returned to me. I am a single working parent and need to find a cheaper house to be able to put a roof over my childrens heads. The hassle of being in different air bnbs over the last few months waiting for this house put a huge strain on us. He did nothing to help. Even though he had told me previously he was good friends with Brian the owner and he was a reasonable and fair man. I messaged Anthony over 10 times and he never responded.

This company will be nice at the beginning to get your money but when you have issues they completely wash their hands of it. Zero understanding or customer support. Disgraceful.

Danielle, Megan and Anthony were all excellent throughout the purchase process. Responsive, knowledgeable and always helpful, I'll be certain to use their services again. Thank you team!

From the moment Megan walked into our house I knew I had found the estate agent that would sell our house. Megan was honest, supportive and understanding. We put our house on the market with Essex Countryside just before Christmas and had a firm offer very soon after.
The branch manager Danielle, then helped us negotiate the selling price. Danielle was incredible, not only is she incredibly skilled at her job but she supported us every step of the way and kept us updated from surveys, exchange to completion.

I had my flat in Westcliff-On-Sea valued by 3 local estate agents. Essex Countryside came back with the highest valuation of the 3 and seemed the most confident that they could achieve the valuation.

Over the few months my flat was up for sale i got to know many of the staff in the office who where all very helpful and friendly. I have dealt with other estate agents before who have been very pushy and demanding, Essex Countryside are the complete opposite of that and i always felt very well represented by them.

They dealt with the sale of my flat very quickly and achieved the maximum amount i thought possible i would recommend them a million times over!!
