Esthers Alterations Reviews 

Took three brand new jackets and a shirt to Esther to be altered.
Upon collection they seemed ok (arms had been shortened, etc).
On closer inspection once home they were all awful.
Three of the four times had one sleeve shorter than the other (one 3/4” shorter), none had been finished square/straight + none of the sleeve buttons she had removed had been reinstated straight or evenly spaced.

I did not return them to Esther and had them corrected elsewhere for significantly less than Esther charged me in the first place.

Esther is a lovely lady. Altered my mother of the bride dress perfectly and on time. Would highly recommend

Made contact with Esthers Alterations to have my Bridesmaid dress taken up with the wedding being in 2 weeks. It was extremely short notice and Esther was more than accommodating. She made me feel comfortable and was very professional. The whole interaction was easy and Esther managed to get my dress done for me the next day.
As I'm getting married myself next year, I have no doubt that I'll be visiting Esther again :)

If you are reading this review then please do not go anywhere near this seamstress. The initial consultation was abrupt and rude and I came away extremely upset from the comments she made of how I looked in my dress. I am now annoyed with myself that I didn’t take my dress and leave. On picking it up today - again Esther was rude. Now, having looked at my dress at home I see the alteration I asked for, in addition to turning up the length, hasn’t been done. I know I should go back as Esther isn’t cheap, but I honestly cannot face her again. So now I will have to pay someone else to finish the job. Please learn from my mistake and choose someone else.

Esther, if you are reading this, and want to do the right thing. Please feel free to reply here regarding a part refund on the £75 I have paid you for an unfinished job. I can then pm you my details.

I acknowledge the refund for the work you did on the dress. However, as you are aware, I had to then buy a second dress because your adjustments made the first dress unwearable. This means I have had to pay for the same dress twice.
My review, therefore, still stands.

Esther and her husband are unprofessional and lack customer service. I took my bridal shower dress to her to make some minor adjustments to the dress before my shower. I met with her and did a fitting and she told me to come
back in a week, I called her the day of pickup only to find out that she couldn’t do it and had started on one side but didn't finish the other side. My dress was also full of floor dust at the bottom, which I would told that I did it!!!!’ Keep in mind this is two days before my bridal shower. She told me to find someone else to do it!
Pleas be aware! Find another alteration location! Not worth the hassle.

I needed a suit altered to shorten the trousers and blazer sleeves for a wedding I was attending. Ester was able to do this at very short notice and did a very professional job. Would highly recommend!

Unfortunately I didn’t have a good experience. Ester ruined my bridesmaids dresses by making the length really wonky. She wasn’t helpful when it came to the straps as she said she couldn’t do them and to just wear a bra or the stick on ones to help with the straps.
I then had to take them to another seamstress who managed to correct all the mistakes and even do the straps with no problems at all.

Great friendly service from first contact to finished work. Although the hem on a long dress threw up unexpected challenges, Esther's expertise and commitment ensured a happy ending. Thank you and I will definitely recommend you to others.

Esther is superbly talented and what she doesn't know about altering garments doesn't need to be known. Good value too!

Nice customer service and work nicely done

Took my daughter's prom dress to Esther for a slight alteration in length. Easy to arrange fittings and the job was completed within a couple of days to an excellent standard. Would definitely recommend Esther and will be using again.
