I haven't had a chance to "use" my…

I haven't had a chance to "use" my insurance for anything. So I can't speak to the claims service or the "value" of the insurance plan, but the purchasing was very easy. If they actually cover what they say they cover, I will be pleased with this company.

Don’t don’t don’t do it

Hi all. I have written here before. After 8 LONG months, my phone was finally returned after I paid close to 300 in deductibles. After I sent a bad review to both BBB and TrustPilot, they had the audacity to say that my claim was based on “abuse” which isn’t covered. They will find ANY way to deny your claim. Supposedly, the letter that came with my phone said they will reimburse my deductible within 10 business days, but I doubt that. Either way, I hope they prepare themselves for hearing from my lawyer.

Stay away from esurranty

Stay away from esurranty! I had bought their new iphone insurance and they took deductibles and never gave me the new iphone. I have to wait for months after I have filed the claim then with all postponing for months, I have to call my credit card company to charge it back for non deliverable of the service. Don’t give your card numbers and other details. I dealt with Rick Lewis their claim manager and I read reviews he deals with everyone. I guess they don’t have any other claim manager.

Response to esuranty’s response; In every possible forum you have invalidated me saying my information is too old or saying some lies. I have proof of everything I said before. By the way, what I am scamming to essuranty by telling all my experience. You don’t like negative review as you want to hide the facts.

I give credit to TrustPilot a lot that enabled people to give open reviews. At the same time helping people to get real feedback!

I have filed a claim on Jan 14th for my iPhone. Got small crack on back glass. It’s very small crack but still they told me it comes under non repairable damage. So I paid $300 and I have sent my phone to their service center. They told once they received my phone they are going to send new phone to me. It’s been so many days but still I did not received my phone and no one is responding to my emails. My claim manager is Rick Lewis. Initially he responded very well but once they got $300 and my phone from me then they are not responding to my emails. I have sent many many emails to him and submitted lot of tickets. Still no one is responding. They told me it will take 7-0 business days. I have started my process on Jan 14 and they received my phone on Jan 22nd. It’s been so many days no one is responding. They took my money and my phone. It’s new phone just six months old. I requested them to send my old phone back to me. Please please please if it is not possible to send new phone at least send my old phone back to me asap. I am not asking anything from you. I am expecting only my phone back to me.
I got reply from you guys on Feb 28th saying you are going to resolve this issue asap. But still it is not resolved its been almost 3 months. I have sent let emails to clam manager his name is Rick Lewis. He is not responding to my emails. Please provide my phone and money back to me asap.

Terrible service

Terrible service. Completely unresponsive. My claims rep promised to respond to any query within one business day. Emailed him four times over a week and he NEVER responded. Stay away at all costs.

Have been waiting on my reimbursement…

Have been waiting on my reimbursement cheque for almost a month. Impossible to speak to a human. Only option is emailing and the responses are slow and non-commital.
To date and absolute waste of my money and time.
Now in contact with Better Business Bureau, but still no action from Esurranty. Would not recommend Esurranty as an insurance company in any way, shape or form.

ADDITION - Esurranty has very questionable work practices. I paid CAD $195.00 + tax for a replacement screen for my iPhone 8, exactly the price posted on Apple Canada's website. I provided two items of proof (receipts) to Esurranty, from Apple which proves this.

DO NOT BUY ANY INSURANCE FROM ESSURANTY until you have checked online for reviews - there are so many reviews stating exactly the same similar experience to mine. It is pointless having insurance if the company puts up every single, possible barrier to fulfill their end of the Contract.

The documents you submitted could not be verified by Apple as authentic and therefore your claim was denied. Apple supplies us with costs for repair or replacement directly and those costs do not change so when we receive an invoice that is not in standard Apple invoice format with repair ID's listed and for an amount almost double the actual costs, it raises red flags.

Confusing and nearly impossible claims process.

I have sent multiple emails and opened multiple tickets and still have not been paid in over a month. There is no clear claims process as far as how to submit the actual receipt for the work done. I've emailed the receipt and then later the work order to the Manager of the Claims Department. I have not received a response from my latest email. If they can make purchasing coverage easy they should be able to make claim processing easy. There is no way to upload receipts and work orders through the website. I was never assigned to anyone other than the Manager. It is completely ridiculous. I am still owed $213 deductible for a cracked screen.

I have filled out all the forms. I have submitted all the information. And Friday has passed and I still have not been issued a check. I am not getting replies at all from my tickets that I submit. They are just being closed. The Manager has stopped responding. They make it so hard to file a claim. I had to fill out multiple documents with the same information on them. There should be one form. There should be an upload page for any required documentation of the actual repair. This is completely ridiculous. Please do not remove this review from the site until I have been paid.

UPDATE: I have provided them all the required information again via the BBB of Las Vegas. I am awaiting a reply.

This is one example of the email the Manager sent me:

"If you put the time into sending what was requested as to writing reviews or trying to send something that you want but is not what was requested, your claim would be completed. I mean, it’s not like we don’t have hundreds of claims per week where we reimburse customers. It’s amazing that the majority can follow simple instructions but don’t feel bad, you’re not the only one that puts more time into not doing what is requested, there are about 15 others that I have to deal with on the same level as I do with you. Oh, and I have nothing to do with reviews or complaints. If they are valid, I may hear about them, but other than that I could care less about reviews.

And remember, when you send a message in a sarcastic tone, you receive one back in the same tone!

non responsive representatives

got the insurance on my phone and lo and behold dropped it a month later. messed up the screen, took 2 weeks to get them to tell me where to take it - "email" issues they said. then after i paid to get it repaired and sent in the documents - took another week to get them to say they had the paperwork and would send to accounting to get the check sent out (only send out on friday so you wait). should have been sent out jan 18th, now is feb 12, still no check and the claims department will NOT answer emails, have gotten absolutely NO response from them since the email on the 14th saying it was going to accounting. POOR POOR communications. i am out the repair on the phone plus the cost of the policy.
