THEIR SUPPORT IS A COMPLETE JOKE AS WELL THEY KEEP SAYING I HAVE DUPLICATE TICKETS AND THAT THEY WILL '' MERGE '' THEM TO AVOID BLA BLA BLA BUT RESOLVING THE ISSUE AND CREDITING MY MONEY ONTO MY BALANCE THAT'S GOOD, THEY DON'T, RIGHT ?!

No access to your funds

Be aware that your funds could be locked due to so called upgrades and be unable to access them or even see your balance.
If this is not worse than banks what it is.

Absolutely terrible customer support

This company absolutely lack any sense of priorities and urgency. I had an issue transferring funds to my bank account, which never arrived. I have an open case with their engineering team for over 72 hours now, and haven't heard back. My funds are stuck without a technical explanation, even though I provided detailed evidence of the issue.

I would not recommend doing business with them.

Looks like they have a transparency issue: arbitrary merchant exclusions from cashback benifits with no published criteria, and Discord ban for asking about that

This review is not blaming about missing cashback, but about ether.fi's refusal to explain how cashback eligibility actually works — and banning me from their Discord server when I asked.

---

I've been using the ether.fi Cash card for several months. In February 2026, I noticed that my Claude AI (Anthropic) subscription payments were not earning cashback. I checked ether.fi's published exclusion lists — both the "How does cashback work?" page and the "Why didn't I receive cashback?" page (Checked again at 2025.02.18 20:51 KST). Claude AI's merchant category, MCC 5734 ("Computer Software Stores"), does not appear on either list.

However, OpenAI ChatGPT and RunPod subscriptions, which are categorized as MCC 5734 ("Computer Software Stores") too, continued earning cashback normally. Only Claude AI was excluded.

I opened a support ticket asking a simple, factual question: what is the guideline or baseline for cashback eligibility when merchants in the same category are treated differently? The support team responded only with "this merchant has been excluded from cashback" — no reason, no criteria, no explanation.

I asked the same question in the ether.fi Discord server. I was banned from their Discord server right after I asked that question.

---

I just want get an answer for clear, consistent, and accessible rules for how rewards eligibility is determined.
Ether.fi's current approach is: contradictory documentation, undisclosed merchant-level exclusions, and banning users who ask questions.

If you're considering this card, understand that the advertised cashback rate applies only when ether.fi decides it applies, and you will not be told the criteria in advance.

Error, error and error

Try to send USDC, got error. Try to withdraw to bank, error, try to exchange USDC to other token, error.

Everything is error. Nothing works.

Avoid they are really shady

I have tried all the crypto cards. Many have pros and cons but for the first time in more than 10 years in the crypto world, i have been approved, offered a virtual card then suddenly denied because « support couldn’t verify you of suspicion of fraud. » They won’t give me the exact reason why my kyc didn’t pass after being approved weeks ago. It’s very shady. Never ever happened to me. Avoid at all cost.

I passed kyc many months ago, they revoked my kyc status without warning or reason.

I passed kyc many months ago, accumulated $40k in the platform before they revoked my kyc status or created some kind of bug. On the mobile app, it says i have passed kyc but on the web app they have removed my details. Considering that this is meant to be a defi platform i am shocked they would esssentially delete my main bank account overnight, without reason and without warning. Absolutely appalling behaviour, i've not seen anything like it before. Pretty sure this is illegal.

KYC Application Still Stuck

KYC Application Still Stuck - Months of Waiting, Zero Communication

---

I've been trying to get an ether.fi Cash card since 13th September 2025, and the experience has been extremely disappointing.

**What happened:**

My application was rejected during KYC due to address verification issues. I'm based in South America, where utility bills include descriptive address details (like "near X street") - this is standard in the region but apparently confused their system.

I reached out to support with a detailed explanation of regional addressing conventions and offered to provide cleaned documentation or alternative proof of address. Support said they would escalate to the card issuer for review.

**The problem:**

Since then, I've been stuck in limbo with no resolution:

- **First ticket:** Weeks of "waiting for issuer response" with no updates or timeline
- **October 31st:** Advised via Discord to open a new ticket for investigation. Did so with complete case summary
- **November 20th:** Still no response except automated "have your questions been answered?" emails (they haven't)
- **Discord:** After an admin asked for my email to help, I was removed from the Discord server entirely

**What frustrates me most:**

It's not the initial rejection - KYC issues happen. It's the complete lack of communication and accountability:

- No timeline for review
- No specific feedback on what's blocking the application
- No option to resubmit corrected documents
- No path forward whatsoever
- Automated check-ins asking if I'm satisfied (I'm not)
- Being removed from community support channels

**Bottom line:**

I genuinely wanted to use this card and was willing to work through the address verification issue. But after months of professional communication attempts with zero substantive responses, I have to warn others: if you have any non-standard situation (non-US address, etc.), be prepared for potentially months of waiting with no resolution.

The product might be good, but the customer service and KYC process need serious improvement.

--- Additional information added later ---

**The automated email nightmare:**

To make matters worse, their system bombards me with contradictory automated emails I cannot stop:

- "Additional information required"
- "Your account is verified"
- "Get your Cash card now!"
- "Have your questions been answered?"

I've had over 10 email exchanges asking them to stop these messages and delete my account. I've already unsubscribed from marketing emails, but these system notification emails keep coming - and there's no unsubscribe link on them. Support says "sorry, it's automated" but can't actually stop it.

I've requested to delete my account and data completely, but the emails continue. The system simultaneously tells me I'm "verified" while requesting "additional information" - a broken, inescapable loop...

Love it

Love it. Crypto wallet with card added on Apple Pay with 3% cashback and 1% for each purchase of your referral list. Can’t wait for new developments, like physical card too.
