If your going to VW Canterbury for a change of vehicle ask for Charlie,he straight away new what l was looking for, after some weeks he found the spec l was looking for and without any hard sales pitch and his patience we reached a deal.
On collection he again patiently took me through handover and as I chosen an automatic for the first time after many years of driving new cars he again showed his knowledge.
The only thing l felt after spending a large amount of cash at vw l never saw the sales manager……kept getting standard email from some manager but never saw him. Maybe the personal touch is lost in the automated world.

This has been by far my worst ever experience with a main Volkswagen dealer and would be no stars if I could
I recently purchased a used car from them January.
Part of deal of the car which was a cash purchase was they were going to refurb the alloys and service the automatic gearbox so we accepted the deal and paid for the car which was due to be picked up a week later
After contacting them to make sure tue car would be ready to be picked up I was told it was going to be another week because they still hadn’t serviced the gearbox
Although not to happy about that I accepted and picked the car up the following week
After about 6-8 weeks I was contacted by this Volkswagen to tell me my car was due to have some things serviced. I told the lady on the phone it shouldn’t need anything as I’ve just bought it and also I didn’t receive any paperwork to do with the gearbox service. She told me she would look into and get back to me
I never heard nothing back and by this time the car was booked back in at my local Volkswagen because of a noise while driving
This lead me to leave a review on Google which I will be updating shortly because after this review I was contacted by a manager at Volkswagen who informed me I didn’t get no paper work for the gearbox service because they don’t service them because they have a lifetime guarantee. I have sent them the proof of the sales person telling me they was doing it and was told he would look into and get back to me and just as I thought I’ve not heard nothing
During this purchase I’ve been lied to by the sales rep, the service department and a manager
This is absolutely shocking for a main dealer. This was my 5th purchase from a Volkswagen dealer and by far the worst experience
I’m sure they will reply asking me to send my details and make it look like there doing something but really they don’t care
I am in the process of changing my Golf GTI for a Golf R at some point this year. I have been dealing with Charlie in sales, who has been exemplary throughout this process. His attention to detail, enthusiastic attitude towards the brand are very notable. He has been exceptionally patient with me and knows that I am looking for a specific spec on the new vehicle. He has gone/ and continues to go above and beyond to make sure I am happy at all stages of this process, and I have no doubt he will find my next vehicle. After buying & servicing vehicles from Canterbury VW for 14 years, this personal rapport just emphasises why I am a returning client.

Sorry, I missed the opportunity to give Canterbury Volkswagen feedback for the recent service on my VW Up! Just to say, on the phone and at the reception desk and the servicing desk and servicing people themselves it’s all positive, much appreciated.

Bought my golf from another garage but it was oryginally sold as new and serviced with Canterbury VW, decided to keep good service history and use their workshop for service.
Also upon inspection their technician noticed that water pomp leaking which was missed (or ignored) by seller. Now its been rectified and I'm looking forward for the next service. Only downside is fact that there is no exact timing for job completion, dropping off my car 8:30-9 am not getting back until late afternoon, no temporary vehicle was available, therefore 4 starts instead of 5.

We've been use Kent Volkswagen for 17 years now with absolutely no complaints. The same polo we brought 17 years ago is now been used for driving lessons by my daughter. Thanks Kent Volkswagen.

Absolutely dreadful . Long wait for mot . Quoted £75 to put 2 new valves in my tyres as that was the only thing they could fail my car on . When I said no I would go elsewhere to get the valves they made me wait another hour to bring the car out their workshop . When my husband took the car back having got the new valves , they made him wait another 45 mins to look at them . This dealership is slow and overpriced

I came in to get a broken wing mirror looked at. Charlie helped me out immediately after a quick phone call. I didn’t have to wait and he got the part ordered and helped get it taped up ready for a Christmas weekend of long drives. Very grateful for the fantastic and friendly service.

I was delighted with the service & MOT on my Golf GTI, the service received was professional and thorough and I was completely satisfied with the work carried out. Promot communication and completing a day early was an additional bonus. Leah and Oliver in the service dept went above and beyond to look after me and my vehicle, reinforcing the reason why I've been buying and servicing my vehicles with them for 12 years.

My VW Arteon went in today 10/10/23 for the second time in the last 6 months for a 50,000 mile full service with a courtesy car booked. Both times I have dealt with Oliver Martin who I must say is absolutely spot on. Asked lots of technical questions which he answered very effectively.
Super efficient customer service and a very nice courtesy car too.
I am surprised to read some of the negative reviews on here as so far at VW Canterbury I have received nothing but courtesy and first rate customer service.
I have two friends both with newish golf’s who say the same too!
Thank you Oliver, it’s a pleasure to deal with you.

Massive Thank you to Mark Gray for all the efforts and kindness he put in on getting our mobility car! He explained all the process perfectly and his customer service was OUTSTANDING! Wow what a lovely man, he certainly made getting a mobility car so easy and stress free! He offered us drinks and Evan helped keep the children entertained while we signed paperwork! Honestly the best experience with mark at VW Canterbury. If you’re looking for a car on mobility don’t hesitate to contact mark he will help you through every step of the way! Thank you so much again and to the lovely receptionist that gave us a warm welcome😊 Over the moon is and understatement!!

Bought an approved used car with Broad Oak VW just recently. Still a little too early to comment on the car, however, the service i received from the sales team., Abbie in particular, was exceptional. From the moment we first ambled around the forecourt, to Abbie then following up on some car options, to us choosing and being taken through all the finance, warranties, extras etc ...all the way up to the handover. Everything was prompt, great communication, and every single detail paid attention too.

Poor after sales service . Deleted a function from my car and then denied it was there . Never ever return calls from the service department despite making the service plan compulsory.

Not for the first time the process of dropping off & collection of my cars from this dealership has been a slow and painful process. Working in the same city as Canterbury Volkswagen; myself and my wife have both purchased used approved cars from them, and we have returned for servicing and MOT's. There is no form of a drop off service, there is plenty of seating & refreshments to make you comfortable, but today was the last straw when I was kept waiting for over an hour to collect my wife's car. I received a phone call to say the car was ready, and on arriving at the reception desk I checked in & was directed to the waiting area. Customers came & went, employees went about their business & time passed & I wasn't once asked if needed any assistance. My invisibility cloak was safety stored at home (honest), but had I not spoke to someone (after over an hours wait) to ask if I was ever to been seen I may have been locked in the dealership over night. Perhaps a ticket system could be implemented, so at least if you took a number you would be seen in the order to which you arrived at the dealership. Working in retail myself I understand the importance of Customer Service, but you can make all the flashy adverts & offer all the 142 point checks you want, if this isn't demonstrated in-store you have failed. Volkswagen make a good car but service sells, and if today's experience is repeated I'm sure a different manufacturer would be happy to welcome my custom.

Appalling Customer Service.
I have been trying for over 2 weeks now to book my Polo in for Servicing, MOT and timing belt change. Originally used the Contact Form on the website.
After over 1 week, there was no response so tried ringing . The telephone wasnt answered. A few days after that, tried the 'online chat'. The 'online receptionist suggested that I ring the dealer !! When I questioned what the point therefore of the online chat was, I was told that he was the Online Receptionist and the only responsibility in his job description was to route messages to the appropriate department!
Funny I would have thought that SOME of his job description would be Customer Service ! He said that he had passed the message on again to VW Canterbury but now 2.5 weeks later there is STILL no response. VW Canterbury are clearly taking advantage of their (effectively) monopolistic position in this part of East Kent.
This has happened before so I will be raising an official complaint about them to VW.

I thought I was being unreasonable then I read Euro VW other reviews.
I've known Euro Canterbury for many years through multiple dealings. My experiences were both professional and willing to help. Unfortunately, this visit was quite the contrary. I clearly have issues with my vehicle that is covered by an external warranty company (paid extra for this). Euro Canterbury found a leaking shocker - oil spilling over the edge ignored my other concerns with the vehicle, which mainly required test drives. I even personally took time out of my working day to go point out one of the noticeable noises with a technician in the car - he could here the knocking noise and from the 'workshop environment' he couldn't identify the problem?!
After multiple conversations it became evident Euro Canterbury didn't want to help/deal with an external warranty company. When I went in to book my appointment originally they said worryingly that they had dealt with where I'd bought my vehicle from, vehicles before. I suppose I'm writing this out of frustration because there is clearly an issue with the car (owned a month) and they wouldn't even fix the shock absorber - leaking oil! It's only a matter of time before this is causing me a problem. I rely on this car to earn my living and can cover 1000 miles per week.
The 2 stars are because they organise a courtesy car (had to wait a month for availability) and suppose they thought they were doing an honest deed. However, I'm left with a car that requires fixing. More time to seek a second opinion. Then, on the report they made out they couldn't find any faults at all despite me driving an hour out my way on Tuesday to point this out to the technician who said yes I can hear it now, didn't know what I was looking for? Is that a competent technician or, instructed just have a quick look over this car? As a goodwill they oiled my suspension for a exhaust or drop link sounding noise. 🤔
Beggers belief really.
Hope other people get a better experience. As far as businesses Trust Pilot reports goes - Euro Canterbury is bad. Not surprised!
Overall impression - they probably value customers that have bought from them (clicky atmosphere) or are paying out right for the work.
Such a shame as never experienced this side of Euro Canterbury

We had a recent test drive of an ID4. We are very new to EVs and were looked after by the ID specialist, Alan Fissenden. Alan was a true professional from the start. He was so knowledgable and enthusiastic about the subject. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending you go see Alan if you are a novice and considering making the plunge to an EV. We have been looking at other dealers and it really highlights Alan's service was truly way above the rest.

Very kind and friendly sales executive (Allan Blackwell) helped me step-by-step to take my very first Golf GTI.
Without his profession and knowledge could not have been done this smooth and easy!
Thank you Allan. You are just a right person for this profession.
