Eurojap saved my car

Eurojap saved my car! Lovely people who know what they're doing. They did a great job on my car with great after service. I thought the car was a write off when oil was mixing with the coolant but they sorted it out and flushed the system repeatedly over several weeks afterwards to clear the coolant system. As a woman I never at any point felt uncomfortable at their garage, which isn't always the case when dealing with mechanics or visiting industrial estates unfortunately, all of the staff are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend their service and staff.

They are con men

They are con men! Over £3000 & my engine didn't even start after they re-built it (incorrect chain timing) leaking oil & put together buy an idiot who managed to tear everything up inside because the oil pump was incorrectly fitted! they will try to baffle you with rubbish they think you don't understand (but I actually do)
I only went to them for the machining but got stitched up with a full re-,build had to sell car after it was fixed (fell out of love with it)
Yeah STAY AWAY

Reconditioned Engine

My car engine (big end!) Went, I was told by garages in my area I needed a new engine. Hyundai quoted between £13,500 to £17,000 depending if all parts were needed! I was told a possible solution was to have my engine reconditioned by (Richford Motor Services - Midlands, fantastic place, see my review) they did say, they had no experience of Euro Jap the company. I spoke with Mac at EJ and arranged Richfords to take out my engine for sending up to Manchester. Mac called me to say they had the same like for like engine already on their shelf if I wanted it or it would be roughly a week to recondition mine. I chose to have my own engine back after reconditioning. It cost £2,760. For Euro Jap to recondition, collect and return my engine. Rochford's then reassembled it all and I collected my car after a few weeks. The overall cost start to finish was around £8,500. But the only other option was to scrape the car and get another or go to the dealer either way the cost would've been between 5 to 10k more. I have waited a year to see how my car performed or even if it survived lol. It has survived and drives lovely and just had it's second service. My experience was last year 16/3/2023 and it is now February 2024. Thank you Mac, Euro Jap.

AVOID !!

At least Dick Turpin had the decency to wear a mask when he robbed you!
Got a quote of £150-200 to work on my engine, which was based on me providing all the parts.
Took it to them, and also asked them to regrind my crank, I was quoted a further £80.
On Collection I was told my bill was £730!! As they had decided that the original price was per piston.

Which is a lie, as I have the owner recorded on my dash cam audio, the day we dropped it off, confirming the initial quote.
When I contested the price, initially two of them in the office decided to become aggressive and defend themselves with a pre rehearsed torrent of lies.
My engine was moved to a side room and the doors and shutters closed, until I paid them.
I was then confronted by the owner once again, only now he had an audience of 6-7 more employees.
I was repeatedly shouted at and everything I said was being twisted as to suggest that I was being personally derogatory of the owner.
professionalism didn’t exist instead a bunch of bullying thieves.

When I told him that I was leaving a review, he laughed at me. Clearly not concerned about their customers.

The office staff have a can’t be bothered lazy attitude and to be honest I wouldn’t trust them with a pair of safety scissors, in fact I wouldn’t be surprised to find the paperwork is written in crayon.

Read the other reviews as I am not the only person this has happened to. I have made a complaint to trading standards.
