Just finished my donation period here which lasted about a year. Great experience! The team is very professional and kind and answers all your inquiries swiftly. The entire facility is bright, modern, and welcoming. Cleanliness and hygiene are top priorities, as donation rooms are thoroughly cleaned after each visitor. You get to have regular health checkups as well.
There are also snacks and drinks for visitors and donors. And to whom it may be important, the compensation is paid out swiftly and reliably.
If you think that you are ready to take on the responsibility of being a donor, this is the right facility for you. Can only recommend!

We had a very positive experience with this sperm bank. Before ordering, we used the free consultation, which made us feel very well supported and professionally guided. After that conversation, we felt confident in our decision to order from them.
The entire process was smooth and well organized. We especially appreciate the option to send some vials to our fertility clinic while storing the remaining vials at the sperm bank. Overall, we are very satisfied and would recommend them.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, and a very (!) thorough selection process that provides safety both for the donors and the receivers. At times, it would be desirable to speed up the process a little bit.

I booked a free consultation due to questions about a specific donor and general questions.
I was told that the specific donor I wanted would be unavailable for at least 3-4 months, and therefore guided to find another one. I therefore purchased another donor, but, a few days later the donor in question was available and I therefore also purchased the one I had set my eyes on. Only to find out I couldn't refund the first I had bought, but not intended to use - I felt a bit distraught as to my choice was due to specific guidance and I felt like a had been wrongtold. I'm giving 3 stars, because of quick delivery though and a good website experience.

Good help and kind staff which were helpfull in a difficult situation. It was possible to speak with them in german, made it way mich easier to communicate.

The portal is very user-friendly, easy to navigate, and allows for easy filtering. The explanations are understood and helpful. The organization is very easy to work with. If you need to reach out to them directly to clarify anything, they are ready to assist you at any time. It offers a personal touch to the process of selecting a donor, thank you!

I’ve been a donor at ESB’s Hamburg center for around two years (and I’m still active at the time of writing).

For donors, the staff is both friendly and professional, and the facilities are always clean and sterile.
For those who care, compensation is automated and always timely and accurate, no need to follow up or double-check. (I personally believe that compensation shouldn't be a donor’s motivation, but that's a different topic).

For recipients, it may be good to know from first-hand experience that the donor on-boarding process is long and thorough. I applied to multiple clinics before choosing ESB, and ESB was by far the most selective. The medical examination was also the most thorough checkup I’ve ever experienced.

On a personal note, I think that some of the less positive donors' reviews may come from folks who were overly money-focused, rejected, or removed during later screening.
These reviews may actually be a good sign, showing that ESB keeps its standards high for both health and character.

About the organization itself, based on my experience, I only have positive things to say.
They uphold rigorous health standards and procedures, communicate promptly and clearly, and always follow up with detailed questions even if you just mark basic cold symptoms in your donation card.

The people are smart, professional, yet human (and even remember their donors). The team has also remained the same, a strong sign of a supportive and well-managed environment.

Overall, it’s been a great experience for me, and I can wholeheartedly recommend European Sperm Bank to both donors and recipients alike.

All staff are friendly, as a donor the process is quite easy to follow and the communication is very clear and punctual. The idea of the whole thing is good and if you are thinking of making the world a better place with some kind hearts, this can be a good option for you.

Whatch out they reject good seed and accept cancer seed to make you people weaker

Last year, I used ESB to become pregnant with a Danish donor because my husband is infertile. At the time, we believed that donations would be limited to no more than 25 families worldwide (also because they stated that our country -the netherlands- is very strict on the number of families). But since March, the donor’s profile suddenly states that it involves 75 (!) families. So he is essentially a so-called mass donor, without ESB having communicated this clearly. We feel misled.

They messed up our refund then ghosted us instead of fixing it. I can't imagine that they are ethical in other sides of the business.

I went for the first sample, and just a few hours later, I received an email asking me to return for a second sample because they couldn’t determine the quality of the first one. After reading the reviews here, it strongly feels like a case of scamming and poor professionalism. They shouldn’t waste people’s time and create unnecessary hassle.
