John Laverick from the Bracknell office helped arrange an annuity for me recently. I found him to be very knowledgeable, caring and above all he took the time to understand my requirements and offered very useful advice. Very helpful to encourage me to revisit my investment portfolio and also the split between my investments and cash. The only thing I learned was more about gilts which as a DIY investor I haven't considered before. As I am now retired with little money to invest, I don't think gilts are for me, but it was useful to understand what they are.
