best customer service!
i’ve spoke to the most loviest ladies on the phone, a lady who had a derry accent, anne & angie. they couldn’t be more helpful to me with sorting my account out to go out of arrears. no judgment involved, seemed like lovely genuine ladies. thank you so much!
My personal experience, always check
My personal experience: I recently settled an Everyday Loans account. I found the early-settlement process confusing and the initial figure I was quoted was several hundred pounds higher than I ultimately paid after using my contractual and statutory rights.
What I was quoted vs what I paid:
The quote included what looked like up to nearly two months of additional interest (per my agreement’s early-settlement terms, Clause 10.2). This wasn’t explained clearly to me at first, and I struggled to get a straightforward breakdown. After I followed the steps below, my final cost was lower and I saved several hundred pounds.
Steps that worked for me (not legal advice):
1. Large overpayment: I made a lump-sum payment to reduce the balance.
2. Formal instruction: I immediately emailed to say this was a partial early settlement under Section 94 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974.
3. Quoted my contract: I referenced Clause 10.1 in my agreement (“any early repayment… reduces the duration… monthly payment remains the same”).
4. Rebate request: I asked them to apply the statutory interest rebate under The Consumer Credit (Early Settlement) Regulations 2004 and to confirm the recalculation in writing.
Be vigilant:
After doing this, a subsequent statement still didn’t reflect what I believed to be the correct calculation, so I raised a formal complaint and asked for a written, itemised breakdown.
Once investigated, the account was settled correctly and the cost matched what I expected.
Bottom line:
This approach saved me several hundred pounds versus the initial figure.
Don’t just accept the first figure, ask questions, check your contract, and make sure the calculation is correct.
Update: After posting my factual review, the company flagged it for 'defamation'. Trustpilot investigated and has since reinstated it. This just reinforces the need for consumers to be vigilant.
Caution: When reading reviews here, be aware that there appears to be a repeated pattern of suspiciously positive, generic-sounding reviews. Compare them against detailed accounts from real customers.

Awful loan company that lies to customers
Absolute disgusting company applied for a loan was accepted on my income etc and then I told them why I needed it to help out with bills till payday then they declined I have now tried to re do the application as I'm desperate to get something like moped or scooter road legal and they told me head office said no even though I already paid my bills out of my own money nothing but a bunch of liars I have more than enough income to cover the repayments but their excuse for not lending the money is absolutely ridiculous definitely stay away from this company they lie to you saying yes you can have it but won't accept you once you state what it's for this company needs a minus 5 and re train all their staff as they are completely useless don't bother better and cheaper loan companies out there
Wow amazing company
Wow! Reading the reviews here after receiving a £2000 loans from these guys. Hamilton branch FYI. I honestly am reading these reviews in complete shock. The service I received was fantastic, I was open and honest with Victoria about my full banking. I had a lot a lot of transfers going on but we went though it all. My credit score is not great atol but I was honest in saying that I’m needing money and I am trying to improve my credit score.
Reading some of these reviews, seems like folk that have been declined for either lying or down right chatting crap on their application, this company dive deep into your banking to ensure affordable lending. That’s to be expected, surely? Nothing is for free.
Be prepared for questioning as if applying for a mortgage. The bad reviews clearly didn’t enjoy that.
The APR rate is high and that’s obviously because we all ain’t got the best credit to get your everyday bank loan. There is an option to pay this early; or reloan at a lower rate after a specified amount of time.
All in all, I’ve had a great experience from VICTORIA HAMILTON BRANCH. And I feel some people need to stop blaming others for their issues. If they can’t help you then that’s on you, start paying your bills.
Thanks for a great opportunity to get my credit score up and I’m very grateful for the non-judgemental attitude from Victoria and Gary.

Hands down one of the best leaders out there for those of us with below average credit scores. Debbie and Sarah from the Cardiff branch are absolute stars, unlike most high risk leaders these guys actually care, so much so Debbie actually helped me sort my finances out in such a way I ended up lending less and got things paid up quicker ... 10/10

Steer well clear….
Turned my wife down for a loan despite her having no loans (all previous loans paid off ), no credit cards, and one store card to her name. No defaults, no CCJ’s, no IVA’s. No idea what their loan criteria is as we didn’t get a chance to talk to them - they sent an email.
Looking at the terrible reviews here (and no reply at all from Everyday Loans) tells us exactly what we need to know……

Zero empathy
Zero compassion
Zero people skills
Zero customer service.
DO NOT GO TO THESE ‘PEOPLE’ if you are in need of any help. I get they have questions for procedure . But came off the call more upset.
HUGE NO FROM MYSELF.
PLEASE DO NOT BORROW FROM THESE PEOPLE
PLEASE DO NOT BORROW FROM THESE PEOPLE
like you back in 2014 needed to borrow money, looked at the reviews and thought nah that wont happen to me. one review said EVERYDAY loans are FOREVER
didnt understand at the time -
So I borrowed £2000 which was paid back (approx £2500) within the year - they then said I still owed them £1000 - I hadnt accounted for this so had to put this with a debt agent in 2016 - paying about £50pm
I continue to pay monthly and to date I still owe them £1860 - you do the maths...#
NEVER ENDING EVERY DAY LOAN -
they wont discuss this so that I can make a reduced payment offer to get this off my file - cant contact anyone and no help from the FO - good luck
it has messed up my credit as its in default.. I am only sorting this out now as I checked thinking I must have only £100 max left to pay.. to my shock -
I am still at the amount I borrowed in 2014
DONT BORROW go somewhere else..
this is why its easy to get loans from them you never stop paying...
Applied for a loan
Applied for a loan. Keep getting emails to say it’s ready to complete but when I email back to find out the details they don’t respond.
Time wasters
Received approved email, had NUMEROUS calls, all “approved”, sent over absolutely loads of personal documents, I.D, bank statements, you name it! Went in for meeting (as “apparently” I was approved)…asked the same questions all over again as I was asked on the phone…told in person that I was approved, signed the contract, received more calls the same day asking me the same questions AGAIN! Calls all day everyday whilst at work!! More calls the next day…Finally told it was declined. Such a waste of time, money spent travelling to the meeting, paying for parking, bombarded with phone calls and emails, they have all my personal details and documents on file. Sooo glad it declined, I was actually relieved to never have to deal with them ever again!! I definitely dodged a bullet! DO NOT RECOMMEND (oh, and be prepared for an interrogation of your bank statement!!) Felt like I was back at school being scrutinised. They even asked me if I had a pet because they saw a £5 payment to A pet store. What an absolute joke haha! What’s that got to do with taking out a loan? Beware people, they aren’t honest at all and say whatever you want to hear to get you to come in to their office. Shouldn’t tell people they’ve been 100% approved when they actually haven’t. I recorded the whole meeting, so I have proof they are liars. I want reimbursement for the money spent travelling to them, parking and the hours off work I took to go in and sign the papers! Such lying time wasters and a weird approach to customer service.
