Long term client and I will go on

Been a client for several years now and never had any problem. Today I needed some assistance and although I took a bit long to talk to an agent, once I made it through the robot assistant, the service was outstanding and they solved my problem ASAP

The most downhill service curve

I used to be very happy with EVO but lately they have gone downhill. No offices to go to, customer service taking ages to reply, 19.99% interest on their credit card if you pay it back in multiple times, terrible exchange rates if you withdraw/pay in a different currency, the app does not provide much info about payments and takes ages to update payments. I am currently looking into changing banks which is what landed me here.

Customer for 5+ years feeling let down

I have been a customer of Evo Banco since 2016, and they started off well. It seems that they are gradually going downhill, especially since the Bankinter takeover. I have recently had problems, and the customer service is awful. They do not respond to you. My account balance was not updated for over 3 weeks, so it was impossible to know what my balance was, or where the money had gone to. I complained about this, and almost 1 month later, they have still not responded except to say "we are looking into it" to cover themselves with the 15 days response time they promise. The app no longer works properly, and the website is in need of an upgrade. There are no cash machines you can use for free, and the cards don't even have contactless payment. I am still a customer, but i'm searching for an alternative as i feel drastically let down by them.

Money takers

Money takers, for just simlpy 3eur...
Their card never arrived so had to order a new one. They told me over the phone no worries you won't get charged, then they charged 3eur for it. I had to call and they advised it will be removed. Then I receive an email saying that not likely..what the hell?
Just simple refund the 3eur...as your own employees advised several times

This is apart from what happened years ago. They went from the bank with no international fees, to use their own currency change, so in the end they carged you more than 3% of fees...disgusting

Warning

Warning! Impossible to get in contact with this bank if needed. They will only answer if you give them a fresh NIE and ask for a new mortgage..
My wife is trying to paying of a mortgage due to house selling but she can’t get in contact with the bank. We have tried to call them numerous times and written emails to them without any response…
Finally with help of our lawyer we could talk to the bank, see above. To cancel a mortgage you will have very serious problems and they will not go to your notary when you are selling your house. You will have to sort this problem long before the selling date to get the certificate of cancellation, still haven’t figured out how long it will take or even if it’s even possible to get it.. dear god..
The lawyer have so far spent 6 hours trying to solve this problem
Finally we where promised to be called back by a supervisor within 2hours - didn’t happened!
Sty clear of them if you don’t want trouble!!!!!

The worst bank ever.

They wrongfully opened an account I did not want and charged me 102 euros in arbitrary fees ( which they did not inform me of). Closing said account is proving to be a nightmare, customer support takes up to 12 minutes to answer the phone and they are proving they are not helpful at all. I am never opening an account with an online bank, nothing beats talking to a human face to face. I would not recommend this bank to anyone.

bank started out well, but now is crap

This bank started out well. I was a satisfied customer when there were no atm withdrawal fees from most major banks, and when the mobile app functioned properly. Neither of those are true at this point. It is not permitted to transfer funds between ones personal checking account and savings account, ridiculous.
