How did I not know about this great product before?

That time of the year again, car insurance and house insurance both gone up and need renewing. Did the usual hunting around and accidentally found out about excess insurance, basically increase your excess to save money then insure the excess with Excess Busters, £77 saved in total and I now have no excess at all to worry about.

Money saving...and peace of mind

I have just taken out £750 excess insurance cover on my household insurance with excessbusters for just £38 for the year, which seems to good to be true. I checked out excessbusters and they have great reviews. The insurer is AXA so no worries there. Basically I have saved money by increasing my excess on my house insurance, which put the premium down by nearly £100, and then insured that excess for £38, so I am now £55 better off and I have full coverage for every eventuality. I got the idea from Sarah Willingham on GMTV. Thanks!

Insurance that saves money - Awesome!

After listening to an article about saving on car insurance on sky news I decided to check out the advice given about increasing your motor excess to reduce premiums and then insuring the excess with an independent company.
My daughter is only 18 and the cheapest quote was £1150, by increasing her excess to £1000 I saved £230, I then insured the £1000 excess with Excess Busters for £39 saving me £191, plus now all the excess is covered where before there was a £250 excess to pay. A great way to claw back some money from these greedy insurance giants.
