Zero protection Against P2P Scams.

Zero protection against scams when it comes to using peer to peer apps. I used cash app to pay for a live animal that was suppose to be healthy. It was not.

Even after all the poof of pictures, veterinarian documentation, and the animal dying, I was denied my dispute and would not refund my $300 I was scammed out of.

Seems to me they support animal abuse and neglect. They don't give a damn.

Long time banker with Excite and I'll now be changing banks.

I’ve had the worst experience with this…

I’ve had the worst experience with this credit union and would never do business with them again. I used them for a car loan and knew I would be paying it off as quickly as possible due to incredibly high interest rates. When it came time to do so they made me jump through innumerable hoops and I kept meeting roadblocks through their entire process. Customer service is a revolving door of people who don’t really care that their “client” is experiencing issues through no fault of mine and I received rude and unprofessional treatment from more than one customer service reps. All told, it’s taken over 2+ hours of my time to meet their process for paying off the account. Please note that they don’t honor payoff amounts when the fault of the processing time is because of their systems. “It’s not our fault” said a customer service rep. rudely. Terrible customer service from people who don’t care and create problems instead of trying to help solve them. I truly think they may train their employees to make it as difficult as possible to pay off loans. I may complain directly to the CFPB because of the handling of my account.

Awful bank

Awful bank, awful experience. They have shut down my debit card more times than I can count. I've gone through about 5 different cards here because replacing your card is easier than dealing with the 2 hour call you'll be on hold for most of. If you leave that 2 hour call at any point they fully shut down your card so get cozy. If you want to buy something they don't want you to, they will shut your card down. Even if you get it amended and try to make the same purchase they will keep shutting it down after every attempt. I've told them I donate to an online streamer from the UK and still they shut it down after every single donation. I've told them not to shut down my card for international transactions and a week later I'm in Spain with no access to my money. I told them through the app I was in Spain and they deleted the ticket I submitted without a response after a few days. That was kind of the last straw and felt outright malicious knowing a real person at ExciteCU saw I was stranded in Spain without my card and decided to delete my appeal without response. The ExciteCU staff do not seem to care for or respect the individual at all. I will never use this bank again, good riddance.

They regularly put unnecessary holds on my checks

They regularly put holds on my checks, but not my husband's, even though both accounts are in both of our names, and they can't explain why the different treatment, making me feel this is sexism in banking. They even put a hold on a cashier's check from another local credit union (Star)! They kept me on hold for half an hour when I asked why, and still couldn't come up with an answer because they were "having trouble pulling up the check image." I still don't have an answer, over an hour later. The only reasons I have not given them a lower rating is that much of their competition is worse, and they DID give me a personal loan once when I really needed it. They have also sent incompetent appraisers to our home before, and we had to pay for a separate new appraisal with a different company to prove our house was worth what we had thought.

I have excite for my car loan

I have excite for my car loan. I made my payment with a checking account and they reported my payment as 30 days late because they don’t give you credit for your payment until the payment clears. The payment cleared never had any returns. When I called to complain they told me to dispute it with the credit bureau and they would update it. Did exactly what they said just for them to mark the late payment as accurate. They also lock you out of the online portal to make payments. I have never dealt with a company that had such underhanded practices. Stay away from this company.

The worst credit unions to open a account with

One of the worst credit unions. stay away from opening an account here. They will ask for all documents and finally deny the application on absurd grounds.

difficult situation made easy

My father was in the hospital, and we needed help with his account. LaQuandra Phillips was knowledgeable and empathetic as she walked us through our options. Then, when I needed additional help the following week, she remembered me and promptly addressed all my questions. I could not have asked for better service. LaQuandra made a difficult situation easy.

I had an amazing experience with…

I had an amazing experience with Verenice Arreola. She was helpful, knowledgeable and understanding. She went above and beyond to help us with our car loan. She was always available and returned our calls in a promptly matter. Is she’s not a manager she should be or get a ride. Thank you for a great experience.
