ordered Solar Panels an…

Having ordered Solar Panels an inverter and Battery in December 2022 l have had a very poor experience using this company.The agent persuaded me despite several quotes from other companies that his firm offered a higher quality product.l wrongly took his promise of excellent service.Installation was delayed several times due to bad weather which l acceptedThe agent and his secretary could not do enough for me initially in maintaining contact and after paying a deposit of 10 % l was persuaded to pay the remaining balance on the final completion of over £10,000 despite the fact they were unable to install the Dongle connection . I was assured this was a minor problem that would be sorted within two weeks. Also l would receive all the relevant installation papers I.e.The MCS Certificate and guarantees that
were promised. Once l paid the balance their interest and communication virtually ceased.The secretary never returned callsHe said he Hadn't been well then he had been in a car accident. Months passed. I contacted Citizens Advice who put me on to HIES then the NICEIC Who took up my case and after several recorded letters to the company and an intervention by the NIECIC l at least got the relevant the documentation lwas promised on line but not the hard copies (being a pensioner with no printer) She said they were in the post, but they never arrived. I received this documentation eventually on line but no dongle in July 7 months after installation and months of stress on my part.l have given up hope of ever getting The Dongle or receiving hard copies of documentation. My advice is steer clear

Experience Energy

Having been let down with a previous Solar Panel firm I went on a compare web site for solar panels. Within about 15 minutes of entering information I got a phone call from Experience Energy offering us an appointment the next day. Ben came to see us - he was friendly and helpful and answered all sorts of questions very patiently and gave an easy full explanation of how solar panels work. He looked round the house to get a general idea of the size of the property. We have a south facing roof and he advised us of the number of panels he would recommend and checked where the battery and Inverter would be best located. We agreed to go ahead with finance over 5 years (which can be paid off sooner). We were contacted by Helen who was also helpful and knowledgeable and arranged for installation and the next steps. The installation was done 10 days later. The electricians were efficient if not particularly ‘chatty’, they were clean and tidy and their work was neat and tidy. We got a full explanation on how to use the App. We are just awaiting the certificates so we can contact our electricity suppliers re ‘selling’ the excess back to the grid and we will be in full working order! If you are thinking about solar panels then I can recommend Ben at Experience Energy.

Great Professional Team, A pleasure to do business with.

I’m a little late in writing this review as I wanted to ensure that I was completely happy with the system I had purchased from Experience Energy UK Ltd.
To do this I set up a spreadsheet recording the Kwhs I had used from the power grid in the corresponding months in the year before installation and my usage in the 6 months after I had my solar panels installed.
The results were very pleasing, as in the months from March to October 2021, I used from the power grid 2105 Kwhs whilst in the same period during 2022 I only used 731 Kwhs from the grid, a reduction of 66%.
Now for my experience with Experience Energy UK Ltd. From my initial search on the internet, I had a call from Claire, who went into the details of what I was looking for, then arranged a visit by Ben, who came out the following week to go through my requirements along with what the company could offer. He then did a survey of my property and provided me with an email copy of my quote, which I thought was very reasonable and well within my budget.
I did get other quotes, however one company refused to quote me when I said I was looking to get 3 or 4 quotes.
Once I had accepted the quote from Experience Energy, the wheels were set in motion for my installation. The following week the scaffolding was set up, the same week the electrical engineers came to fit my Inverter and the wiring from my meter to the roof, then within a couple of days the roofer came to secure my panels to the roof and do all the relevant connections. Then I was up and running and not using as much energy from the grid.
The aftercare has been fantastic, Helen, dealt with any issues that arose, which were mainly to do with the DNO that was needed from the power grid. It seemed like the grid were happy to get my excess power for free, but Helen dealt with the issue promptly whilst never complaining.
All in all, my experience with Experience Energy UK Ltd, has been very positive and stress free.

Amazing experience

Ben and the whole team have been amazing through the process. We were given detailed information during the quotation process and were never put under pressure. Once we decided to purchase the solar pannels the whole process was very easy and the two gents who installed the pannels were amazing again. I would definitely recommend this company.

Get what you pay for 🙂

Experience energy isn't the cheapest because they use top quality products. If your wanting something to last more than 25 year going the cheapest most definitely isn't the answer. Ben is very friendly and likes is happy to answer any questions.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST,
I decided to use Experience Energy as they were prompt to respond to my enquiry and were able to come out quickly to answer my questions and carry out the professional roof survey. That’s where it went wrong, the rep (you’ll know him, he’ll tell you his full health history), carried out the so called professional survey by taking photos with his mobile phone, from ground level IN THE DARK !!!
needless to say that when the roofers came out to do the job all the fittings were wrong, the scaffolding, which we were told would be up for 3 days had actually gone up the previous week and the roofers came out 5 days later. Apparently the delay was down to sourcing the panels and I was informed that I was actually getting better quality panels than initially told. I had to store all the fittings, 12 panels and 3 metre lengths of tracking in my garage for almost 5 weeks whilst waiting for this 3 day job to be completed, ( I’d made the mistake of letting the electrician start the job on the first day this farce started ) I was then told that they would need to order the correct parts for my roof to complete the installation and after again waiting and chasing them ( something you will need to do if you use this company as they NEVER call you first ) a second roofer came out to fit my panels, he seemed bemused as he informed me that it wasn’t a composite roof !! This I already knew but he said it was ok as he had some fittings on his van from a previous job, when I informed him that the parts he needed had been delivered and I had been informed they were in stores, he said he’d been told nothing about any parts !!!. During this farce I called the rep to let him know how dissatisfied I was and he apologised and said he’d look into some kind of compensation, when I later spoke to the woman in the office, (good luck getting through) she said he shouldn’t have done that as I’d already been compensated with the better panels, something I’d been given as they couldn’t supply the correct ones at the start and something they’d also done before all the problems arose !!! Compensating a customer before any problems ?? That’s new to me. Sorry for the long winded review but if I can save one person the pain of using this company then it’s worth it. I also urge anybody from Experience Energy to please post any comments if you believe any of my review is exaggerated or false

We are very sorry you feel this way about our service and installation. The roof was a misinterpretation between the representative and yourself. Pictures can only be taken at the time convenient for yourself which in your case was after 6pm and given the time of year it was dark. Scaffolding was erected on time when it was agreed to be and unfortunately had to stay up until the installation was complete. Again the issue was the time of year when it came to being able to send our workmen onto your roof in adverse weather conditions. It isn’t safe and does not comply with our code of practice, hence the delay in your installation. The delay with the solar panels was due to the coronavirus pandemic as I’m sure you’ll understand after the delay with your electric car and the chip it requires. We subsequently obtained a higher wattage panel for you as a form of an apology and didn’t pass the cost on to you. If the storing of the equipment had been an issue we would of gladly removed it from your property. In these difficult unprecedented times we just assumed you were being helpful. You now have a fully installed solar system with market leading guarantees. If you do have any queries in the future don’t hesitate to contact us.

Do not use this company

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.These people only look after you untill they have your money.Experience energy fitted my solar system with no problems untill they had my money. They never told me I needed a specific smart meter to be able to sell the extra power back to the grid. I had to find this out myself and arrange a company to come do it.They also tell you someone will call you back when you ring them but no one ever does. I've been waiting month now for a call back and everytime I call the receptionist just says I carnt answer your question and no one is here at the moment she is also very rude and hangs up on you. I have had the panels now several month and still not been paid a penny for my power. Selling the extra power is the only thing that makes having panels worth while otherwise it makes having them alot more expensive than not. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

The initial meeting was good and full…

The initial meeting was good and full of promises. We waited several months before anything happened and was not well informed as to the delay. We had the storms during the period which might have delayed things. Things are up and running now and we have regular contact.
