Absolutely horrific company highly recommend avoiding

I used this company a year ago and am still traumatised by the whole process I had to go through with them so only just getting round to writing this review.

Firstly, we agreed on a price that was for moving my things to Amsterdam on a day of my choosing. I had this on what’s app and email confirmed by their representative. My things were coming from Singapore to London already boxed so all 247 had to do was pick up from London and take to Amsterdam. After I got my Amsterdam apartment, I organised a date for 247 to pick up my belongings from the warehouse they were being stored in. The company where they were being stored sent their opening hours for pick up to myself and 247 removals which were completely normal hours.

247 removals then asked me to pay the full amount for their service which I paid. As soon as this had been paid, they told me that the hours they needed to pick up my things from the warehouse didn’t work for them therefore I would have to pay an additional £750.

They said if I didn’t pay this they would not deliver my things for a month. Essentially they had my stuff at ransom so I had to pay it.

Next, after knowing the date I needed my things delivered as I was moving into my new flat they told me there would be delays and asked for more money to have my things delivered on the date I wanted.

I already pre agreed and paid for delivery on the date I wanted at the beginning and yet they were asking for more money and lying about agreeing to deliver on my requested date even though I had proof on what’s app from their representative which I sent them and they ignored.

Again I had to pay more money. Did they then deliver on the days I wanted? No they didn’t they said there were no ferry’s available and they couldn’t get a ticket. This was insanely stressful for me I ended up moving to my new apartment with none of my stuff, having to fork out for an airbed and duvet while waiting all while I had just started a new job. I had to chase them every day, they started ignoring my messages and it took me getting a lawyer involved to get any communication from them. My things finally turned up 5 days later than agreed, 2 extra payments for essentially nothing. Costing more than £1k extra.

A marble table I had shipped was broken in half. When I reached out to them a few days after this horrific delivery experience to tell them and ask for insurance money they said they wouldn’t pay it.

The entire process with them was an absolute nightmare. I highly highly recommend against using them. They are completely unprofessional and have no morals whatsoever.

Absolute NIGHTMARE

Absolute NIGHTMARE, from the beginning to the very end.. just to mention a few bad things: delayed service, zero pro-active feedback, asking for much more money once they get your stuff while they will not give it back to you if you don't pay the extra, and on top of this THEY WILL STEAL MANY VALUABLE THINGS FROM YOU DURING THE INTERNATIONAL TRANSFER..
I'VE NEVER HAD A SHITTIER SERVICE THAN THIS ONE. YOU ARE WARNED!!!!

Very poor service

Very poor service, nightmare experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone. After paying full amount before collection they add additional costs so you either pay or lose all your money and goods, finished paying almost double initial quote.
Delivery stated 5-14 days, delivery took 1 month, delivery driver got lost so I had to go and find him 1 mile away and direct him to address, he was unable to help to deliver items to door as stated in service, he looked to be in poor health and unable to lift items heavier than a shopping bag, I finished unloading at 1 o'clock in the morning only to find items missing and damaged which I reported straight away.
I hold very little hope of receiving my goods or an apology.my only hope is that someone reads this and saves themselves a lot of money and stress.

Avoid at all costs!

The worst experience I ever had with any kind of business in the UK. I can confirm the other report, the same thing happened to me. I ended up paying more than twice the initially agreed price. It seems to be their business model to rip off people with the weight limit. When the goods were picked up it was all about volume and not a word abut the weight. A serious company would weigh what goes in the van and not threaten you the next day. I couldn't even pick my stuff up from them. Just returning the goods to where they picked them up from would have been an additional 2000 pounds.
Also, I was offered to have the goods delivered in one go despite the additional weight but I have to agree to pay the fine if the driver gets checked by police. This is deeply unethical, if there was an accident with the overloaded vehicle and I agreed to it I would probably be liable.

Then, after agreeing to their robbery, the driver arrived for the first load on a sunday, the 2nd time at 5am. Again, I was being threatened that the goods will be put into storage at my cost if there won't be anybody to help the driver unload.
I've tried to find help to get these people what they deserve but apparently these companies can do what they want as soon as you paid the first money because you have agreed to their T+C by paying.
In Germany, this would be a punishable offense and the company would pay a massive fine.

Please do yourself a favour and pay a few quid more and go with a proper removal company. In the end, paying more for a proper company would have saved me a lot of money and nerves.
Vicky sounded nice until they picked up the goods, from that point onwards it was a total nightmare.

Terrible!

Terrible!! Vicky was very nice until I pay the deposit
From this point she pushed every minute to get pay before anything happen. She even threaten me by text while I was still opening the gate for the van that she will have to stop her team and the van if I do not pay now! I’m shocked! Never seen such a rude way to run a company. After that they ask me to pay an extra 1,1K£ because I was over the weight initially quoted (they never talk about weight in any email) you have to read all terms& conditions. They consider 8m3 is no more than 450gk which is just impossible. Anyway I had no choice to pay. After that I called few times to get ETA of the driver as no one lived at the flat yet, they said they were stuck at the border at 9am and the driver called at 10am saying he was here waiting and no one was there!!! I had to call my dad in emergency to open the door and the driver left everything outside in the rain because he was in the rush and upset that he had to wait 15min! Of course in the meantime no communication with Vicky, she even blocked my number. I can’t believe this kind of company still exist in uk. Terrible experience.
Update: I’ve been contacted by the company and they threatened me by text messages, I’m shocked!
They said they’ll take me to court and that I must not forget that they have my full address!!! I’ve got pictures to prove that.
How dishonest and unprofessional and rude people can run a company.
