Be careful - I've lost 500 dollars!

I wish I could give a positive review here. I was so looking forward to trying a kidnapping. I've tried bungy jumping and skydiving, so this would be the next step for my thrill-seeking brain.

I contacted extremekidnapping.com and started making arrangements. At some point the owner wanted a deposit, because he had to hire people and a place. 550 dollars, which is half the price of a 10 hours kidnapping. That was fine by me, because I wasn't going to back out. I even changed my trip from Detroit to Las Vegas, when he moved his business.

But a week or two before our appointment he started telling me that he might not be able to do the kidnapping. I couldn't just cancel my trip, so I was going anyway. Told him to keep trying. But no... He cancelled. I was so disappointed!

Anyway, that happens. Then - of course - I wanted my 550 dollar deposit back. I didn't think it would be a problem, but he would only refund 50 dollars. He said he had a lot of expenses trying to arrange my kidnapping. I have tried again and again to convince him that it doesn't work anyway. Of course he could keep the 550 dollars in case I cancelled. But I didn't - he did!

So just be careful if you are doing business with Adam Lamon, or Adam Thick as he calls himself sometimes. Don't pay anything upfront unless you're willing to lose that money.
