Lack of Transparency and Accountability – Ongoing Issues Ignored

I had to deal with EYERUNNER as the third-party representative of my former landlady in Berlin.

I was charged nearly €500 for cleaning a 35m² apartment — claimed to be 11 hours of work — by not a well known cleaning company(which has no reviews on Google Maps, and I couldn’t find the company listed there; it seems it hasn’t been submitted yet) hired by EYERUNNER, located around 50 km away. This likely added unnecessary travel costs, despite the availability of many reputable local cleaning services in Berlin even near the apartment. No proof was provided to justify the cleaning duration or the cost.

When I questioned the invoice, I received vague replies or no response at all. Even Coming Home, the platform through which I rented the apartment, acknowledged the amount was unusually high. Yet EYERUNNER has not explained or documented how this charge was calculated.

In addition, communication was slow or avoided entirely. Several pre-existing issues in the apartment were wrongly attributed to me during the handover even when I showed EYERUNNER the email from the landlady that these issues were already present and she herself forwarded that email to me. I had to involve multiple parties just to obtain partial information, and to this day, the issue remains unresolved. According to Coming Home, EYERUNNER has not responded to repeated requests from them or the landlady regarding this matter. It has now been nearly two months since my move-out, during which I have been following up regarding the cost, why a far-away, not well-known cleaning service was hired, why 11 hours were needed, and whether proper tools were used.

Other serious issues:
1. She shared my personal information with someone else without my consent.
2. My name label was repeatedly removed from the mailbox and doorbell and replaced with the wrong name. This continued for months and was never properly resolved, despite my repeated requests. I eventually had to speak directly with the building janitor to prevent further confusion.

If EYERUNNER is involved in your rental process, I strongly recommend documenting everything in details. In my experience, transparency, accountability, and basic communication were severely lacking.
