Untrustworthy and amateurish

Sold me a code that was already registered to an unrelated company, operating in a business that would be harmful for me to be associated with. Luckily I bought a single test code and did some due diligence before committing with a larger order.

The codes they sell are not registered in any official database, and you cannot have proof that the code sold is effectively yours except for their word and a amateurish looking "certificate".

Only *after* the purchase they tell you that the codes are for "local point of sale systems" (whatever it means) and are not suitable for use on Amazon and most other online retailers. They say that is "clearly explained" in a webpage that is ripe with cospiratorial tones and "trust me bro" vibes.

When asked for clarifications via email, they became confrontational, started badmouthing the competition, called me "nasty" and "incapable of reading like an adult", and suggested to "Take your $5 and shove it up your ass".

I understand this is a "two guys in a basement" type of buisiness, but everything from the purchase to the customer service has been appealing and untrustworthy.

I understand official GS1 codes are a bit more expensive, but frankly trashing inventory because you find they sold you an unusable EAN code is far more expensive.
