15 roller shutters installed

I installed 15 shutters over a period of 1 1/2 years, during this time the service and support I received was absolutely fantastic.
There where nothing to fail in this experience. The ordering was very easy with multiple confirmations which safed me from mistakes.
Therefore I can highly recommend this company and the product.

Installed a large rollershutter to…

Installed a large rollershutter to protect my front door from the sun 6 years ago. It not only protects the door but also stops the front of the house from getting hot. The change was amazing. I installed a timer so it goes up and down automatically. Very happy with the product.

Bullies

Bullies
The start of the process was lovely and everyone seemed helpful and friendly. When the shutters arrived a) late and b) damaged that went out the window and I have never ever in my whole entire life experienced such appalling customer service as we tried to sort it out. I was belittled over the phone and threatened. They put all the correct things in writing and then are awful to you on the phone where noone would ever believe he would speak like that. We could not get anywhere with them and had to dispose of the shutters - at our cost- and not get a cent back. Consumer Affairs say we have the right to a refund but won't get it for you unless you spend more money on a lawyer. SHOCKING BUSINESS PRACTICE.

Worst company I have ever dealt with in my life

We had nothing but issues with this company. The delivery of our shutters took 11 weeks to arrive and when they did finally arrive they were damaged and unable to be installed. We rang Ezyfit to complain and ask for a replacement or refund and we were accused of abuse and taunting which was a complete lie and seems to be a common theme if you look at their other reviews. I believe they were using tactics to avoid replacing our damaged shutter and taking any accountability. We took this to the Australian Consumer Protection and they were requested by ACP to replace the part that was damaged. Ezyfit also threatened us (the customer) with lawyers and were extremely unprofessional and we found it was a very stressful experience dealing with them. They also illegally record your phone conversations (which was good because it proved I did not abuse them!) and in my case they shared it without my permission. Based on my experience I would not recommend interacting with this company.

Edit*** as you can see from their reply below they are very unhelpful and difficult to deal with. Most companies prefer to keep their customers happy but this company seems to go out of their way to make it more difficult.

Also just to clarify: the Australian consumer protection actually agreed with us that we should get a replacement however it is not within their power to tell a company what to do they can only mediate between the two parties. They actually advised us to take this matter to the magistrates court for resolution which we didn’t want to go through all of the hassle.

Secondly in WA it is illegal to record a conversation without the other person being informed. This company did not inform me AND they shared it with third parties which is also illegal in Victoria.

And finally on the matter of abuse it is very clear from other reviews across this site and other sites that this is their ‘go to’ for getting out of complaints. The proof is in the illegally recorded conversation.

To sum it up I had the worst experience I have ever had dealing with a company and would not recommend them to anyone. It should also be noted that they tried unsuccessfully to have this review taken down.

Hi, Let us clarify the points that you've posted in your review.

1) Delays for your DIY shutter - Because of the Christmas holidays, your shutters were delayed by 4 weeks. We did inform you in writing that this might happen and you were given compensation worth $406.62(around 20% of your order) that you accepted. So we did everything we could to keep you (our customer happy). We were not obliged to do this, however it was given to you.

2) Shipping Damages - Damages occurred during shipping is out of our control and we help every single customer that are affected by such unfortunate circumstances. Once we received your email regarding the damages, we offered you the replacement parts free of cost which you didn't agree. You wanted a new shutter for one damaged part which is used to help protect the product in transit. Our T&Cs also do not entitle you to a new shutter for a minor part being damaged. You went to ACP and they suggested the same resolution that we offered you in the first place. So again, we did everything we could to help you (our customer) out. We sent the replacement parts after this (which we originally were going to to, had it not been for the abusive call our team member encountered).

3) Accusation of Abuses - We do have phone recordings of you abusing our team members so that's not an accusation, that's a fact. We are also well within our rights to record all our conversations for security reasons and to protect our staff. We can send you a copy of the call if you have forgotten how it transpired.

We do take pride in helping each and every customer of ours to make sure they are satisfied with our product and we'll continue to do so.

Response to your Edit:
Your review was requested to be removed as it had no name or details to trace who it was from, so naturally we would try and flag it. We have since established who it was from after Trustpilot verified it.

ACP has no power to make us do anything actually, not even the part. We sent it as that is part of our T&Cs and they agreed that this was all that we were required to do per our T&Cs.
All our T&Cs are available to easily see prior to purchase, and should a potential customer not agree or like the T&Cs, it would simply be a case of 1. Calling the company to clarify anything you are unsure of prior to purchase or 2. Opting not to purchase at all.

The recording was actually only shared with yourselves. You'll find there are circumstances where companies can record calls, so there is no need for us to go back and forth on this unnecessarily.

You are more than welcome to look into going to Magistrates Court or take any legal proceedings, you can choose to do so. We have provided you with the product and replaced the component as per our T&Cs.

We maintain that you were compensated (when there was no requirement to) and you were sent replacement parts, despite abusing our staff over the phone. We tried as much as possible to keep you happy despite all the hurdles.

If you really believe you were not abusive and that we have poor customer service and that we did not try and assist you, feel free to give us written permission to publish all the calls between yourself and our staff so the public can see (hear)?

Damien organized to have them changed with new rails supplied at no extra costs. This is 5-star customer service. I am very happy with the Slimline shutters.

Excellent

We are very happy with our shutters. They look fantastic and are very silent to operate.
We installed 4 Slimline at the front of the house (double-storey). It took us about 3hrs each to install, starting with the one on the ground floor. For the others we hired a scissor lift. You need some technical skills to install them, it is not basic DIY. I found the instructions and videos very helpful and whenever I had a question Damien from EzyFit was always there for me. My honest opinion is that there is room for improvement in packaging and delivery. Toll is one of the worst companies in terms of item handling and customer service and I have discussed this with Damien. I am sure EzyFit can do business with other more reliable carriers and so prevent problems we experience.
I would definitely buy from EzyFit again, I need another 4 to install at the back of the house and very soon place the order.
Yes, would recommend to others. They are a great company, they saved me money and the shutters look great.

The quality seems good

The quality seems good, the service not so much.... I received an email saying my roller shutter has been delivered, when it hadn’t.... I had a problem with the shutter not fitting. I requested some advice close to a week ago to resolve the situation. I still haven’t heard from anyone.... Prior to handing any money over, I received replies almost immediately, as soon as you got my money, the ‘service’ disappeared.

Hi Chris,

Our team responded to your case straight away and stated it would be passed to someone to investigate. Someone has tried several times to contact to assist without any luck.

A team member did assist you prior to purchase but you purchased straight off the website, not from the team member directly (he advised the shutter could go on your application and it can). Your selected the install method on the website and this was not discussed with the team member.

The team member also made some configuration suggestions, which were not taken on board.

We are a bit unsure as to the 2 star review and how this is justified
