Terrible

Terrible. Completely useless, just throws up a load of results of completing unrelated images of people with some similar facial features. What's the point in it.

Finally, A Reverse Image Search That Actually Works!

I'm blown away by FaceSeek.online. As someone who's tried countless reverse image search engines, this one stands head and shoulders above the rest. I had an old, blurry photo of a childhood friend and within seconds, FaceSeek not only found higher resolution versions but also linked me to their current social media profiles.

The interface is incredibly clean and simple no clutter, no confusing options. You just drag and drop your image and let the magic happen. The accuracy was scarily good. If you need to find where an image came from, who a person is, or if your photos are being used without permission, stop what you're doing and use FaceSeek. It's an absolute game changer. Highly, highly recommended!

I tried FaceSeek.online to track down an old photo, and it worked much better than Google Images. The upload process was simple, results came back really fast, and I liked that they clearly state they don’t store your pictures. The interface is clean and works well on mobile too. Definitely one of the best reverse face search tools I’ve used — highly recommend!

While i am not entirely sure how this is GDPR complaint, it should be stopped.

While there certainly are legitimate uses and reasons why someone may wish to upload an image and be able to quickly locate such a wide birth of images that even an innocuous self request briefly is overshadowed the moment you see an image of yourself which you : did not know exists, forgot about, was taken over 10 years ago, contains compromising or innappropriate contexts, or the very possible chance of all of those occuring, there are also many other uses for this tool.. In fact, this offers unrealized abilities and new ways to conduct certain tasks, and all are nearly exclusively just different levels of disturbing. Want to harass a person yyou secretly photographed working at a fast food joint? I am certain this application will not only show you their name, because it will link you to most of their social media pics. It does allow you to opt out, which should be something people should be made aware of prior to discovering this tool exists. I can think of almost no legitimate reasons for this, and I can think of an enormous amount of highly disturbing ways this will be used. However, there are still malicious uses, - not the type i just mentioned, because so many ways exist to misuse this.

If you are a mentally unstable and volant man with anger issues and a history of assaulting women, for instance, you will be delighted to find that you can not only locate your former victim and gain access to their socials again, and that is just the free version.

All of these issues mean we certainly wont even begin to contemplate what this means for smaller, life ruining things that get overlooked due to the fact that they dont actively endanger people - and thiis means there is no way we will ever attempt to address issues that emerge when, say, doctors and colleges prejudge candidates through social media photos which were not public when they were deleted 10 years ago, or the aformentioned fact that this app could replace dating apps as long as we decide that taking a stranger's image in secret is in any way something tolerable. This technology getting stronger over time only makes me fear for the day it identifies people by things that are not even their face because AI can now tell you a persons name, ethniciity and relationship status using a blurry 240 pixel image of any part of them. And like, that is the limit this will progress to. At least,, whiile i certainly would not say I hope that would be the limit, the fact is the more i ponder the more horrible adoptations of such a thing i realize. It does struggle to distinguish real photographs from edited or fully ai rendered replications, which obviouslty, is not at all a redeeming factor. Who is the target audience? Who is drawn in by the chance to pick 5 new people every day and immediately recieve enough information about all of them to locate most of their accounts? And unless they buy more, they will get to reveal the full details and sources of one - this is unlikely, as the type of people seeking this will certainly pay the low cost to upgrade this. AI causes problems sure, but often balances out. In this case, the only eventual counterselection i can see is one in which we as a society accept to deliberately and intentionally adopt the mindset of Huxley's Brave New World, and just disregard all information not as fictitious but as irrelevant. and choose to just ignore everything. This is the only AI tool currently available which i believe actually must be regulated, I will clarify, AI has tons of serious areas that should be regulated. None of them charge nothing to a rapist hoping to find a past victims social media account. Any government use of such technology is unlikely to be tepidly neutral, and in many cases is immediately obviously going to pose significant human rights dangers. Gone are the days when kurds were indiscriminately gassed due to politics, and in come the days when such dictators can win freely and fairly via the plethora of opportunities offered by this access. In addition to never being allowed to leave your past, you may likely also have to accept the consequences of things you never actually did.

I do think there should be reform but unlike the challenges posed by AI and much more like the global reckoning caused by similar mass tragedies of humanity, I do not mean this lightly in saying this should absolutely not exist in this state. and probably via international treaty. IIn fact, how this app is not a violation of so many GDPR pillars that the fine would exceed every euro they possess in a bank account, and frankly, i am not actually sure this is GDPR compliant. cannot imagine a homeless man having the ability to access a sorority girl's middle school accounts at a whim is not at least a violation of human rights. Please consider pausing this. This is the worst part of smart tech.
