i have used them in the past, I find them profesional and fast and a great alternative to the big banks who often say no.

Very poor customer service experience…
Very poor customer service experience with Fairstone Bank (Walmart Rewards Mastercard).
Starting February 15, 2026, after a legitimate large purchase at the Apple Store, my card was blocked without any notification. I had to make multiple calls, wait for long periods, and repeat the same verification process several times.
I was promised my card would be reactivated within 10–20 minutes, but it remained blocked for days. Only after calling again was the issue resolved. I was also unable to reach a supervisor despite requesting escalation.
I submitted a formal complaint to the Customer Advocacy Office, but have not received any response.
This experience was frustrating, time-consuming, and stressful. As a customer of over 5 years, I expected much better service. Unfortunately, this has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have had in Canada. A very disappointing experience.
4 time loan Customer
Ok. If you're going to read a review, read this one. I have done a loan with Fairstone 4 times and even paid off my wife's loan. They are good people and a good service IF you pay attention to what they tell you. Yes the interest rate is high. Thats how they afford to give you your loan and why you get approved. YOU have to pay off more than your monthly payment to make a dent. This type of loan is best to combine multiple things you owe into one bill BUT again you have to do your part and not miss a payment and pay extra to pay it down better.
Here's a smart question to ask: What is my daily interest rate? If they say its $10 that means $300 per month in interest alone. So if you pay them $500 per month, $200 goes to the loan. As you pay it down, that interest goes down too. Get it? Be smart about your loans. They're not a bunch of scammers; its just most likely that you saw $$$ and didnt care to think how the process works or how they make money aka you're stupid. Anywho thanks Fairstone for the loans. Im free now thanks to you and I think one of these days im gonna pop by the portage office to drop off a pizza.
Harassing me by sending mail to me..
Harassing me by sending mail to me all the tenants and past tenants continually without a stop. Our mailbox floods with spam mail by them . We never provided our info to them. How they find our info is something worth knowing. They dont have even email to formally contact them and complaint
UPDATE: based on the answer of the company I NEVER provided consent to share my name and address with third-party companies like them.
Of course, I want to be removed from the mailing list I never consented to be added to. I will call 888-243-6639 to be removed, but I also want to remove the previous owners of the home and/or tenants that I receive mail from, such as Fairstone Financial, all the time.

I am very disappointed with the customer service. I borrow money 6.000. Twice a year I was asking what my interest rate and the balance were. The young girl at the front desk is not happy to help me. I asked the manager or the supervisor can I speak to? She’s not allowed me to talk to the supervisor.

You ask me to write a review here is my honest review. The fairstone should not be certified to stealing people's money. The loan model is unhumaine. I commend, particulary the immigrants to run away the fairstone no matter what urgency or problem needing money. It is better to take payday loans than fairstone.

Bridgewater Fairstone is always great…
Bridgewater Fairstone is always great to deal with, and Cass is particularly helpful! They lay out all of your options, discuss without pushing, and are very transparent about the products they sell. I am a very satisfied repeat customer, and I undoubtedly will continue to be in the future!
be treated like a princess
It is great to know there are people that care and truly want to help. I had an incident come up and instead of being made to feel bad I had someone who told me not to stress and leave it with her. The next day she called me back and problem was solved. Huge thank you for treating me like a princess.
Working with Fairstone was a terrible…
Working with Fairstone was a terrible experience. I had previously taken out a loan from Fairstone. They increased my credit limit thanks to my regular and early payments, and they kept sending emails. The girl working at the branch was named Publina. She was completely unhelpful. I waited about ten days to receive my approved loan because Publina kept saying she would call me back but never did. I finally asked why she was so uncaring, but received no answer. We weren't given any information about insurance when we took out the loan. We only noticed it on the paperwork sent by Fairstone, and when we tried to cancel it, they insisted we couldn't. My boyfriend and I said, "We don't need it because we'll be paying off the entire loan in a few months; we'll only use the money for a vacation." Publina, as usual, went to ask someone else because she had no knowledge of the process. The person we assumed was the manager was very disrespectful. He used language that implied we wouldn't be able to pay the money back. When we were told we would pay it off within a few months, she said, "Everyone says that, but then they can't pay it off." We shocked us by asking, "When are you going to pay off the full loan? Which month and day?" She had no right to ask such a thing. But she spoke to us very condescendingly and disrespectfully. So, the following month, I came back and immediately paid off the full loan balance. In other words, I repaid it all within 1.5 months of taking out the loan. I don't know that woman's name. The only thing I regret is that I think the respect shown to people depends on whether they have money or not. We never showed any disrespect despite everything that happened. We didn't even mention that my fiancé and I own a house and a restaurant. People don't earn respect based on those things. Respect belongs to everyone. I hope you can become a better person. Finally, Eli, who worked there when we came to pay off the entire loan, thank you very much. You were very friendly and kind. I would be honored to host you at our restaurant. Of course, I will never work with Fairstone again. Have a good day.

I hate to say this
I hate to say this, but my experience with Fairstone was very disappointing. I borrowed $14,000, but I only received $12,000 because about $2,000 was taken for insurance that was never clearly explained to me.
Later, when I lost my job, I contacted them to let them know that I could not make one payment. I thought the job-loss insurance would help in that situation, but instead I was still required to pay the following month.
What makes it more confusing is that my loan was supposed to be finished in March, but now they are telling me I still have to pay until May. I still don’t understand what happened to the insurance I paid for or why my loan term was extended.
I hope Fairstone can clearly explain where the $2,000 insurance went and why it did not help when I lost my job. Transparency and proper explanation are very important for customers taking loans. And the capital amount that I get including the less $2,000 was doubled the amount I repaying. Loan shark. Then instead I am done with my loan this month, last payment. They said, I still have to pay until May, I was shocked that the 1 month I skip because of losing my job, they added more 1 month for interest. I’m paying for multiple interest. No don’t ever take any loan for this company. They’re not going to help you instead they will put you to hell.
I am giving them 0 star. Unfortunately, none of the option.
