Beautiful set and fantastic customer service
My order arrived with the wrong chess board. The chess pieces are beautiful and so is the board they sent, but this was a gift so I wanted the correct board. Chris J with customer service responded very quickly and arranged for the correct board to be shipped and the other board returned. In the end we decided to keep both boards and once again Chris J when out the way to get the correct invoice to me. Very pleased!

Now our Chess matches are truly F A N C Y!
Was totally pleased with my Fancy Chess selection as well as the prompt delivery with everything intact. Your inventory is very impressive....hard to choose!! Hopefully, I see an opportunity to finally defeat my very skilled 18 yr. old grandson. In earlier years, I was very fortunate to CHECKMATE my opponents, so I think the DNA continues on.

The Chess set was made well and painting was so so. The "Queens" are actually male figures which could almost pass for the slightly taller "Kings" Being American Revolutionary War themed, I would think that Martha Washington and a woman in an appropriate gown for the British would have been more appropriate.

Item wasn't the pictured chess men set
Item wasn't the pictured chess men set. They changed the listing as well to say might not be as pictured, even though before when I ordered it. It said no such thing. Called and try to explain that chess pieces are carved to pretty much be completely identical with minor unnoticeable differences. Person I talk to refused to say anything other then that they can't be identical. Clearly she didn't know what she was talking about, and has never bought an actual professionally carved chess piece set. Not to mention these are cheap manufactured chess piece sets. You can buy multiple of them on Amazon or other sites, and they'll be identical.

Since wood chess pieces like these are usually hand made, there are bound to be some small differences between sets.
In order to better set expectations we added notes to each product explaining that there might be small differences from the pictures on our site.
