I was really disappointed that I couldn't participate in my race but was relieved when the refund process was fast and simple. Thank you

This is an amazing service

This is an amazing service ! My refund was handled in a timely manner and the entire process was so simple to follow. I will always plan on insuring my races when this company is involved. Thank you for making an unfortunate situation not a total loss . Tess TALBOT

Good Response and Response Time

FanShield promised to have a decision about my request for a refund within three days and they responded in one.

The estimated day for my paper check delivery was for 03/17/2026 and it arrived one day early.

Using the website to send my request was a bit trial and error to navigate, but I was generally pleased with the response time of the service.

I submitted my claim Tuesday. It was accepted in less than 24 hours and by mid morning Thursday I had my money available in my bank account.

They honor their insurance

I received a medical injury that prevented me from participating in the Bakersfield Marathon. I provided the documentation, and they responded quickly to my claim, and my claim was quickly resolved.

Easy process, fast refund. Did need a DR’s note, which I did not realize when signing up, but otherwise simple.

Responsive and reliable

I first I was worried and a little overwhelmed with the whole systems and legalesy. The automated system though was helpful and straight forward. Additionally, they were so responsive and quick.

Online portal is straightforward

Online portal is straightforward. Came down ill and had doctor provide letter. Approval of claim came through much quicker than they note in timeline.

Sick wife made it a NO GO.

My wife got sick and we realized we should not make the trip to Connecticut for the Big East WBB Tournament. Real Bummer!!! Found the form on-line for her doctor to complete, had a doctor visit, he signed the form, I sent that and the ticket receipt in and within a couple of hours, I had my refund. At least it says it is in the mail (I'm old-fashioned). As easy peasy as any refund process I have ever done. I will use FanShield again to cover unexpected situations.
