Great surprise!
When on vacation my wife and I are always on the look-out for finer cuisine and great food experience. Planning our trip to Hamburg, we were looking for a new experience and felt over this Syrian restaurant. Normally when selecting a fine-dining restaurant I'm looking for a place with tablecloth on the tables and that the restaurant in general is looking nice. When choosing Fardi I'm happy I didn't use the tablecloth criteria. Because the food experience I will not have been without. Absolutely fantastic!!!
If I'm ever going to Hamburg again, I will dine here again. Flavours I haven't tasted before.
We ordered the combo of appetizers, 2 main-courses and a dessert. The appetizers, or Mazza, consisted of 12 small dishes (all vegetarian), and I'm sure it was some of the best of Syria we got served, it was just fantastic in different and new flavors. And the flavors continue into the 2 main courses, one of fish and one of lamp. Again surprising taste, smooth and creamy. At this point we were done but the dessert was still to be served. The dessert was an ice cube w. cinnamon flavor w. a cheesecake (Syrian style) on the side, again just lovely!!
The price was a bit under than expected for such a cuisine experience, a total of approximately 134€, and that was including water, 2 glasses of Prosecco and 2 glasses of red wine.
The interior was modern, calm, white walls with a globe in the middle, no disturbing music, or nothing that will disturb your food experience in general.
Absolutely recommendable!! I will be back!!
