Moving house

Good communication and support throughout the process and Matt went above and beyond on a couple of instances to help keep everything moving when it may have otherwise bottlenecked.

Would use again and would recommend.

Dear Jack

It is very sad when a relationship breaks down acrimoniously however with regard to bonded deposits and tenancy agreements, the regulations which govern a legal tenancy are not set by us, but must be followed by us, as has been explained to you on numerous occasions.

Very efficient service

Very efficient service! Questions all answered with ease and very responsive! The process was explained by Tammy who I cannot fault and ensured we had everything when we moved in. Thank you for making the process a lot easier for us.
Would highly recommend!

Hands-down the best rental company we've used.

Hands-down the best rental company I've dealt with!

From the moment we contacted Farefield Estates about a property we were really interested in, Charlotte and the team were brilliant: so responsive, friendly and organised.

What's more, they responded swiftly by email when I had emailed initially (rather than trying to call and not emailing - calls for me are never really convenient around work. This is something I've found happens a lot with other companies when you email as the initial contact, so thank you Farefield for sticking with our preferred method of contact, it's been very helpful!)

Chris was so friendly at the viewing, keeping us updated about his ETA, and Charlotte and Anna processed our deposit and references so quickly that everything was wrapped up within a week.

We can't wait to move in at the end of the month and if the initial service is anything to go by, I'm sure the team will be hugely helpful and responsive if there's anything we need once we're in too.

Thanks again Charlotte, Anna, Chris and Team!

Let start by saying

Let start by saying, Andrew Grant (previous agents) should be ashamed, their professional performance at the start was great, but all they wanted was money, after £1000's of fees, we occupied the property, and swiftly, Fairfield Estates took over, all i have are positive words, no stress, no worries, and easily contactable, we had a minor problem in the bathroom with a leak, the next day, Fairfield Estates appointed a plumber, and he arived, evaluated, and solved the problem, i cant praise them enough.

Leak experience

Recently I had to call the emergency line for an unexpected leak. Within an hour Kyle turned up and was containing the leak.
Straight away fixtures and repairs were already being organised. Kyle was back on 2 further occasions to ensure the leak was fixed and do some paint and repair work, he did a fantastic job and now you cannot even tell the leak happened.
He was clearly very good at his job and went out of his way to ensure the job was carried out at a high professional standard whilst adhering to COVID safety regulations.

Bullies

They tried to force viewings upon me during the pandemic with a shielding daughter and told me to take her out. When I refused they said they would withhold my deposit. I had to seek legal advice. Please note they cannot do this.
They supported the landlords claims of damaged/faulty items which had been reported since the beginning of the tenancy.
Also submitted a claim on his behalf to TDS to replace items totalling £500 of which NONE were replaced as I know the new tenant and she has sent me photos of the items claimed to have been replaced.
I made a previous complaint where an employee stated I was “one of those without a job” Their supposed investigation said it never happened as they had listened to the call. The call was made mobile to mobile so I know this isn’t true.
Their “interim” inspections last around 1.5-2 hours where all your personal possessions are photographed. Anything you report as faulty at these inspections will not be recorded as I found out.
It took 6 months for them to address a front door that didn’t lock. 8 months to address a rotten floorboard that eventually went through.
Avoid. Know your rights. You will get passive aggressive emails and threats.

When a Tenant vacates a property we undertake a photographic
exit inventory, this is then compared to the original Move In Inventory.
Both Inventories are then viewed by the Landlord and then forwarded
to the Deposit Scheme Adjudicator who decides how much should be
deducted from a tenants deposit. We at Farefield do not receive any monies from
a tenants deposit. All tenants when vacating a property are required to
clean throughout and report any mould issues in order to protect themselves
and the Landlords property.

Awful company

Awful company , Do not use . As soon as we had a issue they didn’t want to know and didn’t want to sort it . I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone . Agency just think about themselves especially thorough this difficult time .

We completed everything requested by this reviewer, which cost our company a lot of wasted time as they then withdrew their application. We went out of our way to help and assist them and it just goes to show "no good deed goes unpunished"

Me and my partner went to view a property for our first home and Tammy our adviser was so helpful and kind. She explained things very well and made us feel welcome.

Please be aware of these Estate Agents!

I would have to agree with some of the previous comments. They are alright unless you have an issue. I came home to find my shower panel glass shattered all other the floor a few weeks after I moved in, luckily I was not at home, I had gone to London to attend a course (I had my train tickets and course certificates to prove this). I spoke to Rob, he made accusations and was sarcastic in his tone. He then went onto say I was emotive, I asked to speak to the manager, I was shocked when he said he was the manager, his customer service was so poor. Anyway to cut a long story short, he said to leave the issue with him. 2 months later after no update or communication. I receive an invoice of £384 for the shower panel. So I emailed Gina to raise concerns, no reply to the email, but the next day I receive an eviction letter through my letter box. Everytime I tried to contact Gina via phone, she was "on another line" (they ask who is calling before handling the call), she never tried to call back, tbh email is probably better with them anyway so there is a record. When I left took out the amount of the invoice, they also took a cleaning fee of over £90. When I questioned them, they came back to say that as a gesture of good will they will reduce it to £56. From a deposit of £600 I received £88 back.
Please be careful with them. On a side note, their maintainence workers are very nice and friendly!

Dear Maria
The Landlord insisted that the shower screen could not have broken on its own.
We managed to negotiate with the Landlord to pay towards the replacement shower screen and you were not charged the full cost.
I can assure you that no one was being sarcastic when highlighting the Landlords thoughts that screens do not break on their own.
The landlord asked for notice to be served as he wished to sell the property and not for any other reason as we explained to you.
You were a lovely tenant
Once again it unfortunately appears "No Good Deed Goes Unpunished".
