This is the worst experience I had…

This is the worst experience I had with the agents . Agents doesn't respond properly . They are not at all cooperative. I will never ever from FareScan. They charged separate fee .

Pathetic experience with Farescan and Air India both

Booked two tickets for my old parents with Farescan for Air India from Delhi-NY-Delhi in 2020, but later we kept that open because of COVID-19. Now in Aug'21 we checked with Farescan that the people on visitors visa can travel to US, they said YES, so we booked the tickets for Sept'21.

The problem is Farescan issued the ticket on the old PNR and while doing the web check-in, it showed tickets cancelled. Then I had long calls (almost 10 hrs.) with Farescan team to get things settled then they again charged $600 for two people to issue a new PNR. I mean why should I pay for this? Farescan and Air India should settle this internally. Later, when my parents reached airport for check-in, they denied entry because air india people said people on visitors visa cannot travel.

This is absolutely ridiculous. After spending more than $3000 on ticket and another INR 12000 for the seats, my parents couldn't travel. Now Farescan is saying this is Air India's problem and Air India people are so great that they either do not pick up the phone or just hung up. Both the companies Farescan and Air India are just making fool out of passengers. Not at all trustworthy. No clarity at all, I don't know how they are running their business. Please stay away from both these companies.

This is a fake organization

This is a fake organization, the reviews are all correct about them

I booked tickets through them which got cancelled due to Covid. Refund story is same - they keep on postponing you and do not refund

It’s 4 months and even Air India agent mentioned that they have never heard about any such delay

Moreover they mentioned that the company could be a scam and suggested to go for legal action

I will take that as well since I have all the chat trail from this company and Air India

If is too cheap compare to the other…

If is too cheap compare to the other trusted companies it is not true. I bought a airline ticket, Fligh was cancelled and they never emailed me with the info, i found out when i wanted to add a bag, I contact them right away, they promised they will refund my money, almost a month and they did not refund my money the only way was to dispute it since i was not the one who cancelled the flight. I had to rebook the flight higher cost but it was exactly the same flight, stay away from Farescan or Exploretrip they are the same,

I got the long awaited call back from the supervisor or someone, and I was promised I will recieve my refund very soon.

If I could give zero stars I would they…

If I could give zero stars I would they are beyond horrible. At first I purchased tickets for a price and then they said it didn’t go through and charged more. Fast foward a few months later well my flight got canceled was told the air line would refund them and they would have to refund me well it’s been well over two weeks and I have yet to get refunded guess I will just dispute it with me bank. DO NOT PURCHASE THROUGH THEM THEY ARE NOTHING MORE THAN MONEY HUNGRY SCAMMERS!!!!

It was the greatest mistake I have done…

It was the greatest mistake I have done by booking my tickets from fare scan while booking the tickets they charge you immediately but while refunding they tell you they need 2 to 3 billings cycles. after that, they tell you that the airlines did not process the refund to them and ask the client to email the airline after being informed about the mail which I have put across the airline regarding the refund. Fare scan doesn't revert to any of my mails from then on. I feel they are some fraud company also I am unable to understand how are they
are still authorized for booking tickets. Don't fall for there cheaper rates because after you book your tickets you are doomed to get scamed by them. There name should be fare SCAM instead of fare scan!!!!!!

I would be very cautious.

I would be very cautious.

So I read these reviews just before purchasing a ticket. It was much cheaper than advertised on the actual airline's website. I couldn't help myself though. I figured if something got messed up, I could call my credit card company and they could handle it. A few hours after I purchased the ticket, I got another email saying I actually owed several hundreds of dollars more, due to some error. I had to call and try and get a refund. Surprisingly I did get some of the money back, but not all of it. Not worth it at this point to go after the rest. I won't be using them again, and suggest you don't either especially with a very important or expensive flight.

It is the worst agency to deal with

It is the worst agency to deal with. I would like to call them Fair SCAM rath than fair Scan. Avoid this agency whenever possible you will save yourself a headache. I have been calling them for 1 year at least 20 times (I have spoken to Rocco, Johnson, Moris, Tina etc) and to get a refund it has been a nightmare.
1. To this day they have not given the refund then the airline said they give refund to all the agencies they claimed the money. They provide empty promises, i will give you a refund give me 30-45 days and that never happens. You will be getting partial payment because of transaction fee and that changes to cancellation fee. information for the flight booked and there are runaround. I will call you back give me 30-40 days.
The response below is another response we have received since march 13 of 2020. I have given them more than a few days. It has been 1 year and 5 months.

Terrible service--do not trust!!

Terrible service--do not trust this company! I have been awaiting a refund from FareScan for two and a half months now. I booked with Spirit Airlines through Farescan months ago and Spirit gave me a full refund for my flight. It turns out Farescan booked the trip with their company card, and I believe this is how they dupe their customers into not giving them refunds. I spoke with Spirit recently and they told me they issued the refund to the Farescan company card a full 2.5 months ago. I called Farescan recently and the representative told me they will "look into it," which would take up to 48 hours, and then I should expect my refund within two weeks after they've confirmed it. One question: why wasn't it immediately refunded to my card as soon as they received the refund? Scammers--that's what this company is. I asked the representative to loop me in on these emails they were going to send to their refunds department. Of course, they never did that. I sent them an email myself, and they never responded. Mind you, this recent call was my 4th time calling about this refund, and every time, I've been told they will look into it and I need to wait. I am calling again today to see where this stands. This is absolutely ridiculous. Never, ever use this website to book anything.

Aviod booking from Farescan

Aviod booking from Farescan. I booked a ticket from Toronto to Rome for June 2020 however the covid-19 hit and the airline cancelled the flight. Farescan offered us a credit with $30 addition to hold the credit. We accepted then. In April 2021, Air-Transat told me they guaranteed the full refund but I need to talk to Farescan to get it. So I called Farescan, an Indian guy picked up and asked for my information. Then he told me that my ticket was expired. I had only one option, get a refund of $599 (I paid $750) or you got nothing. This guy also tried to scared me by telling me they have a internal law office who deal with cases like this. This is the worst experience I have ever had. I am contacting CTA and credit card company now to get my answer. My biggest recommendation is not to deal with this company, they are just scammer.

Absolute Scam!

Terrible terrible terrible, I purchased a ticket from them back in March 2021 I called back a few days later to cancel the ticket. The charges was 203.40 cents and they charged me a cancellation fee, which I happily paid. I was told I would get my refund in 10 business days, or it would take longer because of COVID. I called back 2-3 weeks later because I had not received it. They told me that it would take longer and I was yelled at by an employee for “not understanding the affects of COVID”. It’s now the end of July 2021, you do the math. I still have not received my refund. I feel like they scam people and lie and it’s always some Indian guy who picks up and says his name is David or Joshua or something. We all know it’s you Karan. Give me a refund! I have complained to the BBB because this is not okay. The fact that I call and they leave me on hold for 2 hours is the icing on the cake.

Did not give refund for cancels flight

I booked a ticket to China for July 1st, the flight was cancelled June 16, 3021. I was assured that my credit charge were a soft charge wan would be voided in 2-3 business days and money appearing back in my account. Today is June 27, 2021. I am yet to get my money back after 6 calls. When I spoke to the supervisor, he said it would take 10 calender days in direct contradiction to what other staff said. It has already been 10 days and no money has appeared. These people are running a grift show and claim ingnorance, lie or blame your bank for the mishap. Do not offer tickets from them.

I bought tickets to Portugal on TAP…

I bought tickets to Portugal on TAP Airlines through Farescan. My flights got cancelled. Farescan charged me $150 per ticket to get a "no exchange fee guarantee" to maintain a credit. I am trying to rebook using the credit and they want to charge me another $159 for a cheaper flight than the orginal! I have emailed customer support with no response and their customer service by phone is no help.

Defrauding a teacher trying to help children

I wish I had done my due diligence prior to ordering my ticket and read these reviews! This is a terrible company! Prior to the pandemic (or Jan. Prior to lockdown) I purchased a ticket to Mongolia to be part of a charity event for children. I am a teacher without a wealth of resources so this was a big deal. When we went on lockdown I called and paid an extra fee to move the ticket to this year is only for the flight to be canceled by the airline. The FareScan no plays an avoidance game. They tell me I will receive a call back and it never comes and they lie. They are unhelpful through email as well. How terrible to rip a teacher off who was going to help poverty stricken children. So sad, so disappointing.

"Free cancellations" scam

I paid $19.99 for Best Purchase Guarantee service that essentially allows me to cancel for FREE and for a FULL REFUND within 24 hours. I went back to cancel my tickets within that limit but the representative told me that Best Purchase Guarantee simply guarantees that I will be protected from a price drop, that's it, and that I need to pay $200 for cancelling my tickets. When I read to him the terms of the Best Purchase Guarantee from their website that says "Change your mind or cancel for any reason within 24 hrs - without penalty!", he got cold and quiet and said I should wait for the confirmation of my full refund in my email. Very stressful experience and deceitful company. Never dealing with them again.

Stay away!!

My return flight was cancelled due to COVID. Tried to get my partial refund back. Called their support a dozen times over the period of 10 months. Every time they told me the refund was on the way, or someone was gonna call me back. But it was all lies. It's the worst company. Stay away!!
