I purchased a Corvette C8 from Ben at…

I purchased a Corvette C8 from Ben at Farlan. The pre- sale side of it was fine. I do not have a problem with paying full price for a car if it is accompanied with the appropriate collection experience and service along with the post sales follow up. Be prepared to have to constantly chase for information and documentation. Having been told in writing THEY will arrange for a missing service stamp in the owners manual, I am now told I should do it myself.

Also I would advise they do not take up the ceramic detailing that they push. I am having to have the car now done again but professionally as it does not appear to have been done at all (no water beading).

Very poor customer experience and they do not offer the level of service or customer attention that you will find at the recognised professional higher end car dealers.

Purchase from Farlan Automotives with caution!

Purchase from them with caution!
Quick to take your money but aftercare and customer relations are non-existent. Incompetent and inexperienced employees. To be told that 'no matter how much you spend, they treat all customers the same' tells you exactly what their about! There would never be a need to tell a customer that if they had anything about them and knew anything about customer service. Purchased two cars - one in October, another in November. Have not received V5's as of beginning of February! Something so simple has been an absolute nightmare with countless communications and no straight answers and being provided with inconsistent or incorrect information. Have contacted DVLA and they have advised that details on V5 issued do not match what should be on record. Who's details have they submitted? Had to send V62's in order for V5's to be received at my cost for their mess-up! How can you get address details wrong when you have provided your driving licence with full address details?!!!
Be careful about recently dated MOT's being valid! Would beg you to ensure you have cars thoroughly checked over with a mechanic or AA inspection.
They may have high performance cars but they gloss over by doing minimum fixes.
No matter that they have the cars you want, would urge you to be absolutely sure if you purchase from this company. Save yourself the headache of dealing with people who offer nothing to meet you half way or have any sense or experience of what they are doing. The smiles and high performance cars are a smoke screen for a company who should not be in business and quite frankly, wonder how long they will continue to be in business with the way they treat their customers after they've got their money!
Do not deal with these bunch of cowboys! Seriously!

They bid 25211 pounds on my car on carwow. The guy came, plugged a scam code reader in and tried to tell me I have major faults on my car. Total rubbish, then tried to knock me down to 22000. He got shirty when I refused his offer and became pushy. Avoid them if they want to buy your vehicle. Have spoken to a professional and he says it sounds like a scam. Avoid!!!

Scammers

Scammers! They have AI generated reviews so they look good on paper, but look at the lowests ones, those are the real ones. Not a trust worthy company, not sure how they got there cars but mine was worst. Have to put i on repair couple of times. Avoid at all cost

A-Star service

Absolutely amazing attention to looking after me before and after I purchased my car. Ben has been superb and nothing has been a problem.
I can’t rate them highly enough.
Quality service from a quality dealership and fantastic care from Ben.

Lack of confidence

It’s not usually the way forward when you’ve not yet purchased. Im only putting this review to back up the similar issues others have experienced. I cannot claim to have purchased a car which had issues. However I will advertise my experience when enquiring about a car. Firstly they’re advertising a car with a full service history. Which it does not. And secondly the new MOT on their watch. Went from corrosion advisories to a clear MOT. Which is fine. When all the repairs have been done. However I hear nothing when I ask for photos invoices of the work done. Corrosion issues with the type of car can be a safety problem. So Im only asking standard questions. They have reduced the price. So would they not provide any info to sell it. 20 mins on the ramp job done. To me it does not come across well or provide confidence.

Excellent Experience when buying a car

Had a great experience! Amir was very professional, helpful, and a pleasure to deal with. I got caught in traffic and ended up running 30 minutes late, but he kindly waited for me. Even though I was buying a car under £20k, he treated me with the same level of service as if I were purchasing a £100k car. In 30 years of buying and part-exchanging cars, this was by far the best experience I’ve ever had.

Best experience 10/10

I bought my Volkswagen Golf from here today and Ben who works at FARLAN Automotive was the most friendly and helpful person in the world, he doesn’t beat around the bush, he’s up front and honest and protects you as a customer, rest assured the vehicle will be in immaculate condition and you will be shown everything honestly 10/10 experience. Once again thank you Ben.

Viewed the car at the weekend and returned to collect it on Tuesday, great staff. very welcoming and professional.

Really welcoming people at the dealership.
Talking to Ben through the process, great customer service and answered any questions I had about the car.
Great car, very well presented, cleaned as promised. Met Ben on collection day, really nice and friendly. Made my day collecting my dream car.

Bought a car from this garage and was told if the breaks continue to squeak bring it back and they would sort it out. Now they are not interested so take my advise and give them a wide berth and try a decent company!!! Nothing but blatant liars 🤬🤬🤬

Avoid at all costs.

Avoid at all costs.

A terrible experience with Farlan. Having purchased a Bentley Continental with them I have within the first month had to pay £5250 in repairs. In fairness I am not seeking all this cost from Farlan as that would not be fair but I am seeking £3500 from them.

The vehicle was sold to me based on having a ‘121 point inspection to ensure it meets out extremely high standards’. This inspection clearly never took place as the vehicle had three illegal tyres all dating as being fitted in 2010. Had a severe coolant leak that could have ruined the engine beyond repair, had a huge hole in the turbo inlet pipe and the boor strut was faulty. All of these items are on their inspection report as being checked, I beg to differ.

Due to the vehicle not being road worthy or legal to drive I had no choice but to get these repairs done. I used an independent Bentley specialist to keep costs down and am not claiming for any of my time.

Having initially told me verbally they would cover the costs they now have said they will not and have offered me a refund minus any costs associated with wear and tear which is frankly an utter insult as I have just spent over £5k fixing a car they have sold to me as having a 121 point inspection.

Unfortunately I have no choice but to proceed to try and get back my money through the small claims court.

Farlan should be avoided at all costs and if you read through the reviews you will see a thread of exactly the same issues.

Do not buy from Farlan.
