Avoid this at all costs.

Any company that asks for upfront payment to “help” you raise capital is waving a giant red flag. If they really believed in your startup and their ability to connect you with investors, they’d get paid when you succeed — not before you even begin.

It’s the classic model: shift the risk to the founder, take their money early, and deliver vague promises later. And if you push back? They’ll throw you a “free” alternative like this:

“We have one option left which is the EquityPilot program. In this program we don’t charge an advance payment.
The chances of success in this program is low because we are doing mass emails compared to the other programs we have where we are doing warm introductions.”
End of quote.

Let’s be real — what they’re really saying is: if you don’t pay us, we’ll put your startup on autopilot and hope for the best. No effort, no accountability, and no real value. Just spammy mass emails and a pat on the back if nothing happens.

It’s like those investment gurus who claim they’ve made billions but somehow still need to sell $6.99 “masterclasses” to give back to the community. The math doesn’t add up — and neither does this.

The real players in fundraising work on success fees. They win when you win. Anyone asking for cash upfront before delivering value is not a partner — they’re a parasite.

Look at their webpage and their portfolio, all the companies are pending. No well known names in the industry.

Please don’t pay them, you are better off spending the same money on a good developer or any other future colleague who will help your company succeed.
