This company is stealing from me.

This company is stealing from me.

My subscription was canceled with an online service and they switched to FastSpring who then started charging me.

I looked up the charge on FS website and the email of record for the charges is not my email. So I have no receipts. When I log into my account on the client website I can’t cancel it either since it’s inactive.

Makes me believe this business got my email incorrect on purpose so I wouldn’t see receipts and they could get their revenue up. How else would they mess up my email?

Shady, immoral, illegal.

"I subscribed to Home Design for a…

"I subscribed to Home Design for a one-month membership . only to find fast spring are charging my PayPal account on regular basis . Attempting to cancel the subscription has been an exercise in frustration. Despite following their instructions to cancel through a particular page, I continue to be billed. Their customer support seems to lead nowhere, as each attempt just sends me in circles. This lack of responsiveness and transparency raises serious doubts about the legitimacy of their business practices. I am compelled to share this experience as a cautionary tale for others considering FastSpring's services.

I have been a customer for a decade...

I have been a customer for a decade. Great company and outstanding support. FastSpring is our payment processor because it takes care of everything, including tax collection, which is especially handy if you sell to the European Union. The checkout interface is stunning and user-friendly. The only bad thing is the aggressive fraud detection system that may flag legitimate purchases. Paypal seems to accept more purchases with fewer fraud attempts.

Really bad user experience

Really bad user experience
I had a discount code I wanted to enter and my payment method was Paypal.
But for Paypal, you have to go through Paypal first to get the discount code section to appear.
But to do that, you have to click on a button which says "complete purchase" on Paypal. And that's "before" being able to enter the discount code.
I was like "wth?" and had to cancel on Paypal and search for a section to enter a discount code.
It did appear when canceling and going to Fast Spring.
But then when I tried to complete my order, now Fast Spring failed to process my order. Probably because of multiple attempts to purchase said goods.

This all comes down to not displaying the discount code section BEFORE going to Paypal.
And now I have wait for Fast Spring to respond. Still no response. My experience has been so stressful so far to the point that I am considering to send the merchant who is using Fast Spring to consider a different entity for such services/transactions.

Computer says no

FastSpring turned out to be the payment provider of a WP plugin I use.

Because payment didn't work the way I wanted it, I changed the company details to my other company. Alas, it wasn't possible to change the tax nr and I didn't act on that. Now my accountant points out the FastSpring invoices and company tax ID don't match. I contact FastSpring to have these reissued. Really fast response, kudos.

But it's not possible, no explanation why. Also, while changing most company details and adress was possible, their system had me locked on 1 country. I saved their response for when the tax office has questions.

The plugin company offered to change the payment provider, which I took. I don't like working with companies that just go: computer says no.

Blatant Error...Fastspring has taken…

Blatant Error...Fastspring has taken payment for a transaction from a gift card that the Desert Order site deemed as declined. They still proceeded to take the $31.49 from the card and have been very mystified as to how this happened. I presented the documents, proof of transaction and have emailed everywhere possible with very little response. Incredibly unhappy as to the lack of ownership of this error.
Disappointed but if they need the money this badly .....
hmmmm....food for thought.

Faulty Fraud Software Prevents Sales!

Their fraud prevention software stops legitimate purchases! Won’t let me buy anything at the supercell store. I have 3 clash of clan accounts with 3 different email addresses but the same name and credit card. Because of this fastspring thinks Im attempting a fraudulent purchase when I use my alternate accounts. So stupid. This is a widespread problem reported by many users across the internet on forums such as Reddit. I wonder how much money supercell isn’t making because their third party billing company has terrible fraud prevention software?

Got me a refund when one of their partners went dark.

Though FastSpring is mainly a payment processor,
there were extremely helpful in getting me a refund for a software package I purchased but had a very difficult time getting any help with after over a week of trying to get the software I purchased. That company was non-responsive and was happy to take $480 but never delivered the software and that company's customer support was non-existent after trying for over a week. FastSpring was not obligated to fight for the refund but they did and with speed, rare this happens in today's world. Most online companies take the money and run. Kudos to FastSpring for holding their partners accountable.
