Amazing prices and very quick delivery - wish I'd found it sooner!

Spent about 3 days scanning books. The maximum they ever offered was 10p per book, with a threshold of £8.00 before you could finalise the sale.

Guess what? There is a maximum of 50 books per order, after that you can't add anymore. However at 10p per book 50 books is only £5! What genius thought that one up? How are you ever supposed to get to the threshold with these kind of offers? Surely the order could be split between several boxes to at least allow sellers of 10p books to actually reach the minimum threshold for a sale?

Yes, I am sure someone from Fatbrain will be along in a minute to say that I could not reach the threshold was because I was scanning the wrong sort of books and they could only offer 10p in order to recycle them or some such. They must do an awful lot of recycling. But my daughter has just finished her National 5 public exams and so I had a whole load of practically new High School textbooks for Geography, History, Maths, Chemistry, English, Biology and so on which they also only offered 10p for. Also past papers and success guides. Again just 10p each. And for Higher Geography she accidently bought 2 of the same textbook for £7 each on Amazon and again just 10p offered - for a current brand new and unused textbook being sold on Amazon for £7. £1 or £2 I could understand - but 10p?!!

Someone at Fatbrain needs to have a good long think about their thresholds. At We Buy Books it is just £5.00. I find it extremely suspicious that the threshold is set above what is possible to achieve given the average offer price of 10p and the maximum of 50 books per order. This way they can be seen to be offering for books without actually buying very many.

Very easy process worth selling those old books for some extra cash

Stress free way to sell your unwanted books. I was offered a price which I accepted and parcelled up the books which I took to a local pick up point. A few days later I received a cheque for the price I was offered. Good communications and a trustworthy service. I would use it again and can recommend it
