From: Syed Q Ali, a VERY HAPPY & PROUD PATIENT OF DR. XANDER VAN DER WALT DC.
I am 78 years old. I have had all sorts of Back Pain, Leg Pain and Sciatica Pain problems. Before seeing Dr. Xander, I saw TWO other Chiropractors elsewhere in London. They DID NOT HAVE A CLUE, what I was going through and the amount of PAIN I had. When I brought my PAIN PROBLEM to Dr. Xander, the AWESOME PROFESSIONAL AND HUMANE APPROACH he adopted on me, I was awe-struck. I have decided to take his FULL CHIROPRACTIC PLAN because I have started FEELING BETTER & BETTER.
CONGRATULATIONS, JUBILATIONS & FELICITATIONS DR. XANDER. FROM: SYED Q ALI, YOUR PATIENT
Having received a glowing recommendation for Mr Xander Van Der Walt whilst away in Spain, I decided despite living 160 miles from his clinic to book a consultation. This visit proved very informative and included a thorough examination and X-rays. I returned for the results less than two weeks later and was extremely impressed with not only his clear knowledge but his prognosis and confidence that he could assist with my problem. My treatment would involve multiple visits to his clinic which unfortunately logistically I could not undertake. I would definitely recommend wholeheartedly this very impressive man.
I've been to the clinic three times now for chiropractic appointments.
I purchased a voucher via Groupon for an X-ray, consultation and one treatment. My first visit I received the X-ray. Once the X-ray was finished I was quickly ushered out of the room without any explanation of what was happening next. I presume I was expected to figure out that I was to leave. It wasn't made clear that the first appointment was for the X-ray ONLY. I presumed the chiropractic treatment would have been included, but this was not the case.
The second appointment was more beneficial. The chiropractor had reviewed my X-rays and explained what was wrong etc. She then gave me a very quick treatment. I was then advised to book more appointment at a cost of £34 each or you could purchase a large treatment pack of 20-30+ treatments at a slightly reduced rate.
I then proceeded to book my next appointment (I was expected to have three treatments per week ). The receptionist was very rude and I felt that my presence was an inconvenience for her. Nevertheless I got the three appointments.
On my next appointment I planned to purchase a 30 treatment pack (£700+ I have forgotten the exact price). I arrived at the clinic a little late due to the traffic and very bad weather. The receptionist didn't greet me. I went up to her and introduced myself and said I was here for an appointment. She was very rude and stated that I needed to wait 2hr30 mins for the next appointment (even thought my appointment was 4 minutes long -- apparently 4mins is the length of a chiropractic appointment).I explained I lived 1hr30mins away and that I couldn't go home and come back again and also waiting for 2hr30mins couldn't work as I had another appointment. She proceeded to turn her back to me and ignore me. I asked if I should return home and she stated "I don't know. Do what you want". I then decided to just leave. Although this was massively inconvenient and a huge waste of my time I’m actually very glad this happened as I would have paid £700+ for the treatment package!
In conclusion, the treatment was okay (just a little short) and I do think the review of the X-ray was good and informative. The major draw back for me was that I was made to feel unwanted and that my presence was an annoyance.
