I have to give Felirent one star
I have to give Felirent one star, because that is the minimum. Otherwise I wouldn’t give them any.
We rented a small car from Felirent in Alghero, Sardines for 5 days through a third party agency. Arrived to Alghero at early evening and were waiting for the car at the agency outside of the airport for more than an hour. There were 2-3 people front of us, but the staff member was so slow to deal with them so it was almost dark outside when we got the key to the rented car. He didn’t even bother to have a look at the vehicle even after I told him there are scratches and small damages on the car. He said all the existing damages are documented and suggested that to take pictures of all the damages.
So I did. Turned out, there was an almost invisible dent on the lock of the driver’s door that I didn’t take a picture of. We have driven the car extremely carefully not to make any further damage or scratches. Almost never left the car unattended. When we took the car back. to Felirent a different stuff member spotted that tiny damage on the lock imminently and accused us of being damaged the lock. Because we couldn’t prove that we were rented the car with the same condition she reported the damage immediately. We couldn’t do nothing. They knew that only had a third party insurance so they can charge us for anything. And that was exactly happened. A few days later they deducted €500 from my wife’s credit card for repairs. Basically they took advantage of that my wife had a third party insurance so she had to pay for the damage that someone else made before us. No itemised invoice, nothing. They just took the money.
Seriously, please avoid Felirent. Some companies are maybe a little bit more expensive, but €500 for a tiny dent that we didn’t cause on the lock is just ridiculous. Felirent ruined our whole experience of the holidays in Sardine. No wonder people are giving them so bad reviews. Avoid, avoid, avoid Felirent!!!
Bad experience and a rip off
We booked a family car for a one day trip, to be received at 8 am, we arrived there 8.15 am only to inform us that the car is not ready and we took it only around 10 am, of course no compensation or even a sorry for that delay.
We paid extra for cleaning the car and the car seat that was dirty.
They gave us the car not full and we should return it same level, after returning the car and fueling it up we had 40 km less something around 25 euros less than when we received it, we told them to charge us the the remaining fuel, and to our surprise they charged 65 euros with penalty.
We told them we want to file a complain and nothing happened
They truly have hidden costs that no one tells you about
First and last time to rent with them
Location we received this service was in Milan, near the Centrale
They didn’t attach properly the battery…
They didn’t attach properly the battery to the car and didn’t offered any solution to help
I always choose FeliRent for my car…

I booked a Ford Tourneo Custom for two weeks via economycarrentals.com (initial price €1,480, including insurance and free mileage). The final bill amounted to €1,730 because I was charged for damage to the mirror cover, which was not covered by the insurance. The damage consisted only of light scratches.
Pickup was significantly delayed (> 1 hour). The handover took place at night, so I could not take meaningful photos; only a written handover report was prepared. For this reason, the subsequent charge was not comprehensible to me.
The vehicle was clean on handover, and some pre-existing dents were correctly documented. However, the evidence for the charged mirror cover was not clear to me — especially since, in my view, it was only superficial scratches that would not have been visible during a nighttime handover.
Communication with the subcontractor was friendly and helpful; nevertheless, coordination between the rental company and the insurer did not result in reimbursement in my case. At return, I also had the impression that staff looked intensively for further defects that could be charged.
Recommendation for future renters: Inspect the vehicle thoroughly in daylight, take many photos (from all sides and especially of mirrors/covers), and have all existing damages confirmed in writing.
Given an old car dirty car and not the class we ordered
Given an old car not even a radio in it, it was not clean and it was not in the class we ordered. The pick up location is over 15 minutes drive from Bergamo and we had to wait 30+ minutes for the transfer pick up. On pick up i was told had to pay 10 euros for car to be cleaned on return despite it being filthy. Half tank of petrol on pick up despite ordering full to full.
Giving two stars as the actual processing on the rental and drop off processing was quick and efficient
Very efficient transfer from terminal…
Very efficient transfer from terminal to car pickup. Car provided was as advertised and in good condition. The upsell insurance quoted did seem expensive, however no pressure was applied to purchase. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely use again.
Would recomend
We had an excllent time with Felirent. They drove us to and from the airport in a minivan (5minutes) to collect the car. The guys were lovely, the Panda was the perfect car for the Amalfi coast at a competetive price for the week. The car was new and clean with added benefits of apple car play and parking sensors. It was an additional €8 per day for insurance on a second driver and they require a €700 euro deposit on the car, ideally Amex. There is also competetively priced fuel within 8km of the hireplace.
Overall would remomend and would use Felirent again.
We were very pleased with the service
We were very pleased with the service. Good car, Julia checked us in and also on our return checked us out. She is a true professional and very customer focused. She explained everything when picking the car. This is at Palermo airport.
Felirent Napoli, very good
A beautiful experience in Naples with Felirent. cars are new, clean and there is also the GPS inside. Thank you guys for taking care of me, especially Louisana a very nice person. Hoping to see you again guys :)
👎from start to finish
Terrible experience from start to finish. I booked online, paid half in advance, and even purchased additional insurance for peace of mind. Once I arrived, they forced me to pay extra insurance (€300) because I didn't have a credit card, even though this requirement wasn't clearly stated on the website.
Furthermore, upon return, they charged me a €30 penalty for a single fuel tank charge (less than €10). Absurd.
The staff was arrogant, rude, and unwilling to help customers. I wouldn't recommend this experience to anyone.
I've rented cars all over the world and have never encountered such poor service. The numerous one-star reviews speak for themselves.
👉 Stay away from this company.

One big scam
One big scam. Do not use this company.
They will ensure you pay double of what’s advertised.
Easy and reliable
Easy to deal with. Car was reliable and available as booked. Would book again.
Convenient van hire
Very easy process to rent and return the vehicle. Comprehensive assessment of prior damage, which was reassuring.
Very bad service
Very bad service. First they refused to give a car on the agreement reserved online because I didn't have a credit card. I don't know what the law says but I think if I pay in cash or debit card it shouldn't be an issue. They've tresspassed the case that we have no other choice to get Sorrento on the given day to our reserved accomodation. Still fine I'll pay more I said. And I did. I paid 100 euro deposit to get the car what I've never received back since then since July this year. Sent emails and never got a response nor the money. I've filled the car back with gas and withoit damages. Used a car for 1!! day for 360 with the gas together. Absolutely joke. They are scammers. Never use their service if you listen to me. There were another family at the time we were there and they tried to trick them too. But they had other opportunities to travel so they refused and speaking out for them. Terrible company I've never experience in the whole Europe before. Good luck!
Don’t go here!
They Require a physical credit card which is stated somewhere in the Terms and Conditions but with Debit card it is impossible.
We had a car with Drivalia a few days ago and had no problem with our debit card. Now they charge us 260€ “insurance” for a 700€ deposit cause apparently there is no other way to give them the 700€ safety deposit. Thank you for nothing.
Cannot recommend. The lady told us people with our problem are here “every day”.
