Wow, such brilliant service
Wow, what a fabulous experience I have just had. I have been looking for a new car for a while and have met several salespeople over the recent weeks but none of them compare to Kam. He was such a breath of fresh air, he really wanted to find me the ‘right’ car not just sell me something. He took the trouble to fully understand my needs and his knowledge was outstanding. I really cannot say how delightful it was to meet this charming man, and cannot recommend him enough. Thank you Kam for all your hard work.
Update: FG Barnes Admitted Their Negligence—But Refused to Take Responsibility
Mr. Garth Leaning investigated my service records and confirmed that their mechanic failed to inform me about my worn-out brake pads—an admission that their service was negligent and put me and my children and others in danger.
However, what came next was beyond absurd. Mr. Leaning told me that if the mechanic was still working at FG Barnes, they would have refunded me—but because he had left, they couldn’t offer me any compensation.
Let that sink in.
Imagine if a restaurant served you food poisoning, and when you complained, they said, "Sorry, the chef doesn’t work here anymore, so we can’t do anything." Or if a hospital made a critical error in surgery and later shrugged it off because "the doctor no longer works here."
That’s the level of ridiculousness we’re dealing with here. FG Barnes admitted their mistake, acknowledged that they endangered my life and my children’s safety, yet refused to take responsibility simply because the employee had moved on.
A company should be accountable for the service they provide, not hide behind excuses. If someone on their team fails, the company as a whole is still responsible for making it right. But instead of standing by their customers, FG Barnes has made it clear that their loyalty lies with covering their own backs.
This is not just poor customer service—it’s outright negligence. If you’re considering taking your car to FG Barnes, think twice. A company that only "cares" when it’s convenient for them is not a company you should trust with your safety.

I bought a car from this dealership with all the overflowing positive reviews. It was really good in terms of non-pushy and patient sales team who did home delivery as I was nervous to drive from the dealership to home - Ben Finnerty and James Woods. But everything went downhill only when my car broken down on the 2nd day of delivery. My car now did not start and AA patrol mentioned that it might be a key access issue which needs dealership fix. I had to wait 3.5 hrs in winter in a car without engine turned on and I thought it was valid to get the full vehicle recheck as there were other minor oversee like tyre pressures below the recommended level, spare key battery problem and the request was not accepted. There was a delay in the response until Stuart Sim came to rescue. He is a very good General Manager who was patient, kind and supporting from the customer's perspective. Finally my issue was just a vehicle setting which was highlighted in Toyota dealership but he offered to take the car back if its not fixed in a day as I requested and also gave me complete vehicle recheck report and video. He even offered his office for me to work when they had to take the car back to the garage. So all good since our last meet.

Got help from alex. Regarding motability. Absolutely amazing person, very helpful, kind and amazing customer service. Helped me more than I expected & sorted my car out quickly & worked around me, always kept in contact. I would 1000% recommend this vauxhall dealership in Guildford. I travelled over an hour a few times & it was definitely worth it. But all in all, everyone was amazing there!! I can't thank everyone enough. 11/10 for everything.

I booked my car in for a service but had to reschedule. Due to day change with work.
I get very anxious with anything to do with the car. I found Lorraine Davis to be very patient and helpful and re arrange for me, a real credit to the company. On the day of the service, I was treated professionally, offered a warm drink and advised how long service would take and other enquiries I had. Nicolas Sinclair and Charlie Finch were very helpful as well as service team. Fantastic!

Bought a Vauxhall Corsa from FG Barnes in Guildford. The car has been great and the service from the dealership has been genuinely outstanding. Very poor experience with North…
Very poor experience with North Yvelines agency manager (France).
She was of no help at all despite her promises to defend her customer interest for the sale of a well located 107 m2. Reason was that the proposed buyer of the apartment was a very good friend of her.
When asked to assist for a counter proposal since the original offer was low, she did not contribute and use arguments such as poor market, few customers etc...
Two complete reports in French have been sent to Barnes General Manager, based in Paris. I also mailed him my comment on Barnes answer to my original « avis » published on Immodvisor ( the appropriate media for real estate properties).
I think this dispute must remain between Barnes France and myself.
