Absolute Garbage

The Active Trader Pro app may be the most buggy worthless piece of programming I've ever come across. With a 15.5 billion market cap, you'd think they could afford to make a functional interface. Get it together 👎👎👎👎👎.

Transfers of Shares Out Are Nearly Impossible

The do everything they can to make transferring shares out of Fidelity as difficult as possible. The form is ambiguous, the information needed to complete it is in two different locations in your account information. They don't contact you via electronic messaging or telephone at all. Instead, they send their excuse via regular US mail, and that takes over two weeks. The only way to find out what is going on sooner is to message or call them when nothing has happened. Then, they come up with a different reason why the transfer can't go through every time you contact them. The goal seems to be to hang on to your investments as long as possible, even though it is clear you want to move them to another brokerage. In my case, all I wanted to do was transfer shares to my daughter as a graduation gift.

Unprofessional Conduct by Case Manager CURTIS

I contacted the company Fidelity Investments and was connected to a case manager identified as CURTIS . No employee identification number or extension was provided during the call. The representative’s conduct was unprofessional and discourteous, and no meaningful assistance was offered The call was 29 minutes with absolutely no help

Poor customer service

I would have given zero stars if this was an option. Fidelity's customer service has gone from bad to worse. It's almost impossible to reach anyone by phone and responses to emails are late and incomplete.
So disappointing that a once okay company now treats its customers so badly.

Shambles from start to ……..

Their customer service is non existent. I withdrew some funds 2 weeks ago and they sent them to an old bank account I had closed about 10yrs ago. I phoned them immediately and the person I spoke to was absolutely hopeless and could not give me any idea what would next. I then messaged them 3 times over the next 10 days and the only response I got each time was to say they were looking into it. The funds then returned to my account but they never even bothered to tell me. Now I don’t know if I have lost money as the selling price could be lower when I withdraw the funds again. All in all it has been a complete shambles and an experience j wouldn’t wish on anyone.

Customer support has a Great Wall of China.

The website is overly complex.

The customer support is laughable. I had my hearing aids in and the volume on my phone turned up to the max. Yet all I heard was jibber-jabber from a far distance.

The arrogance of the code writers said I was inaccurate in entering my birthdate. Even as I was entering day, month and date, the error message continued to blare at me in red ink.

I am so frustrated that I will withdraw all my funds next week.

Protect yourself: avoid all these inanities by using another investment firm. Fidelity may have been good once but it isn't now.

fidelity as a bank and investment comany

fidelity does a great job of holding onto your money and not giving you access to those funds until 14 days or more later. Their mobile app is nice but then they randomly change values without any notification why or even when they decided to limit you. As a banking company they are horrible, as a place to use as an investment company they are average at best. ive been using them for over 25yrs and its gotta worse every year.

Tried to sign to do a QCD from my IRA.

Tried to sign to do a QCD from my IRA.
Entered my username and password. I was prompted to pick a phone to get a security code but they said they couldn't call that phone. (They have done so many times in the past.) I started over but they still failed.
I tried having them call on a different phone and that time I got the code. I entered the security number but they said they couldn't connect me to the site.
Stick with Vanguard! It's easy!

Haven't deal with them for a very long time the time that I have they were professional when it comes to phone calls I can't say if they were knowledgeable having trouble withdrawing money for the past month now. And that's cuz they prefer to have the money in there but that's not their choice to decide I done it before it's not hard to withdraw money they make it hard for you

Unethical Business Practices

Fidelity made an unauthorized withdrawal from my account. A substantial sum. This involved a ladder cd adjustment with auto renewal. They admitted the mistake and confirmed by historical transactions that the event did not happen as they described. Fidelity says that even though it was their mistake it is under investigation and for this reason they cannot return my money. Really?

New chcking acct turned into a nightmare

I recently opened a personal checking account and it's been a nightmare since. I tried to fund the acct and sent a wire 3 different times but every single time it got rejected costing me a wire fee and lots of wasted time. JP Morgan Chase that Fidelity works with for incoming wires apparently is incompetent just like Fidelity. Once I funded the acct through an ACH payment, my acct was restricted and I have not been able to order a debit card. I've called multiple times and spoke with different teams and nobody has been able to help me so far. I'm already considering closing the acct and going elsewhere and I just opened my acct.

Don't Use Fidelity for Trading

This platform is horrible for trading executions. The execution time lags and you don't get fill orders on limit orders although it trades under your limit multiple times. The customer service reps makeup excuses but this doesn't happen on any other platform I do not trust it. Nor does it give you the balance you have left in your account after you make trays in real time you have to wait till the next day to see how much money you have left! 😳 It's really an incompetent joke I stick to Robin Hood and Webull with no issues. I'm in the process of removing my IRAs from Fidelity immediately.

I have been trying to work through my late father’s investment with fidelity. They are a nightmare to deal with. I send messages via their secure message portal which they simply don’t read. When you try and phone- they don’t answer. I am at my wit’s end. They are so unhelpful

Overall we have been happy with Fidelity

Overall, I have been very happy with Fidelity's service and my accounts there. Both my wife and I have accounts through Fidelity. When I call in, my wait time is short and they have been efficient with answering my questions. My wife's account is restricted to what can be traded even with a brokerage link, but this is her company that restricted investment choices not Fidelity. I also like the fact they invest money that is not being traded by default in their money market that has been returning about 4%. Schwab doesn't do that with my account with them.
