Had my first meeting with Paul last week. Immediately felt at ease discussing the finer details of personal finance, pensions and life in general. Paul was very knowledgable. Will definitely be following up at some point.

I received honest advice and felt FWM had my best interests at heart. They approached everything as to what is best for me, rather than easiest for them.

From the start it was clear that Paul was very knowledgable and more importantly completely up to date. He keeps up to date with changes in regulation which others have missed. My experience has been that many advisors are not up-to-date so chatting with Paul was reassuring. He certainly has the experience and knowledge to guide you correctly and can advise you what is the best thing to do and also what is not the best thing to do. I recommend Paul highly.

I booked a meeting with Matt Penfold as I was moving to Gibraltar mid way through a tax year in the UK and had a fair few questions regarding tax between the UK and Gibraltar. Matt answered all these questions with ease and formulated a great summary afterwards which was incredibly helpful for me. Prior to the call I had spent weeks trying to find clear answers to these questions and I wish I would have just booked a call weeks sooner!

Spoke to Matt Penfold who is a senior adviser at FDM. He helpfully clarified my residency question, what are the actual residency routes available? His answer tied in with what I was told by Gibraltar CRSO face to face couple of months back.

Seems the Gibraltar gov.gi website is in need of some updating with respect to having the correct upto date application forms and guidance notes for Gibraltar residency. They still show residency can be obtained via "job seeker" and "self sufficiency" (not in receipt of a UK state pension). This is no longer the case. You must be either:
A. Employed by a local company.
B. Self employed worker.
C. Self sufficiency in receipt of a UK state pension.
D. Category 2 self sufficiency.

This just goes to demonstrate getting up to date information is crucial and valuable rather than just relying information on a website is kept upto date, even if its the governments own website.
