Fake profiles and scams

Fake profiles, scams, horrible website. The Cupid dating company used to be pretty decent, but now all of them are scams and horrible sites. You cannot contact anybody if there’s a problem. Imagine paying for a service and you can’t contact anybody. Lot of the girls are under age! 16 and 17 years old, so they’re trafficking children. Bottom line you’re wasting your money using them! They don’t care they’re not there to help you. They suck.

Filipinas suddenly replaced with Western scammers

Update:
A year ago, over 95 % of the members on this site were Filipinos. Now, Filipinos (the females, anyway) account for maybe 1 in 10.
AI has entered the realm of "Pig Butchering" and data mining operations, and they are surprisingly believable. One soon finds that one is getting correspondence that is gramatically flawless and addresses the points you made in your message. But still, and this is the main giveaway, without actually offering any information in return.

Last week, I downloaded 4 suspicious photos, ran them through Google Images. 3 of the 4 were photos of porn stars. This is elementary enough that FC staff (if there are any) could easily do it.

OriginalReview:
I sent this complaint to filipino Cupid in Sept. 2025. They never responded:

"To Whom It May Concern,
As you probably realize by now, about 2 months ago, Filipino Cupid was suddenly inundated with scammer profiles primarily from the USA and Europe. Most of the American ones claim Southeast US, New York, Virginia and Alaska residences, and most of the European profiles purport to be from Germany and the Netherlands.
The majority are instantly recognizable by leaving blank the first, fifth and sixth profile entries (Have Children, Height and Weight), Religion is always filled in. Leaving these entries blank is not unusual; 6 or 10 profiles in a row with the same entries unfilled is a statistical anomaly. Having this anomaly day after day indicates a trend that is outside ordinary dating site odds.

These scammers assume that every male site member is seeking a female with, not just ample, but abnormally large chests. Once again, while outrageously enormous breasts are never unwelcome, the odds of 2 out of 3, or 4 out of 5 women in the general dating population being so endowed is statistically unlikely.

But the most definitive way of identifying fraudsters is to do an online image photo search. I found several instances of photos taken from minor celebrities, Pinterest, stock photos, etc. But I don't have the time to download every photo, convert it to a format that search can recognize and do a search. When I became a member, and I was assured of FC's commitment to monitoring the site for authenticity, I took it for granted that the staff charged with oversight and remedial processes wouldn't all go on an extended vacation at precisely the moment that the Filipina profiles were largely replaced with non-Filipinas.

So my question is, since I paid an enormous sum for a years' membership in a site dedicated to Filipinos seeking partners, do you have another site to which you can transfer my membership, that is not absolutely overrun with scammers? Or plans to return the site to its former quality?

Thank you"

Don't know the exact date this began so I'll date it June 1, 2025. Up until that time, something in the neighborhood of 98% of all profiles were Filipino. Now they are around 25% or less.

They suspended my account after one day…

They suspended my account after one day of paying my subscription. They asked for government issued ID in order to reactivate my account which I felt was intrusive. I had done absolutely nothing wrong.

They’re scammers, stole my money and then suspended my account. Who knows what they could have done with my ID.

Love, Sexy, Caring, Honest, and Freaky

Being horny isn’t dirty. It’s not evil. It’s not a sin. It’s one of the most natural, deeply human experiences—an ache that whispers, “Touch me, love me, see me.” It’s the body’s way of saying, “I’m alive, I’m open, I want to connect.” And when you have someone who sees you in that moment—someone who responds to that fire in your eyes, that heat in your touch—it’s a blessing beyond words.

Scam

99% of the profiles are fake. Not only are they fake but they're bad fakes. Also, be aware of the auto renewal. It requires a six-step process just to opt out. The site is called Filipino Cupid but most of the fake profiles are Caucasian women. The most common are from New York, Los Angeles. Total waste of time and money.

Don’t waste your money or time on this…

Don’t waste your money or time on this site. I experience overall a high number of fake profiles and potential scams. Women individuals asking for money or gifts, and found more then some stolen photos being used on profiles. The company seems to not care and just wants to take people money also they don’t implement efficient anti-scam policies.

Collasol waste of time

Absolutely horrible experience. The company should vet members and check isp info against where the member states they live. Horrible, rip off to charge hundreds of dollars and offer patrons nothing but hell, a collasol waste of time. Been a member a few months, new from first day it was a total scam, no refund offered. The site should be taken down. I would be interested in a class action if I could get the paid member roster.

Not worth it: faks, scammers, money leeches

My experience with all "cupid" sites was pretty much the same; basically, they all follow a similar model:
(1) if you're a guy, nothing is free - nothing;
(2) all altogrithms are set in such a way that you become a paid member as soon as possible - at every opportunity, you'll be reminded that you have to become a full (= paying) member if you want to access any feature whatsoever;
(3) you will get lots of (fake) interest at the beginning which will then fade if you decide to actually get the paid membership;
(4) the site is flooded with scammers and spammers.

In sum: save you time, money, energy. It is NOT worth it!

This is an absolute scam!

The platform lures you in with a $5 a week ask and doesn’t tell you it’s billed over longer time frame - suddenly you’re billed $39.99 and when you try to cancel or get a refund they simply refuse.

This is an absolute scam!

Met My Wife Jolma Orquena on FilipinoCupid.com. Best Women I have Ever Met in my Life!!

Met My Wife Jolma Orquena on FilipinoCupid.com. Best Woman I have Ever Met in my Life!!

I am one of the few members of Filipinocupid with a good review. I met a wonderful woman name Jolma Orquena who is now my wife!!

Yes FilipinoCupid does have a lot of scammers and scumbags who are just looking to get money from guys but that is not FilipinoCupids fault.

The Philippines is one of the poorest countries in the world and this is why this happens.

I got lucky because I put in my headline of my ad "If you ask me for money I will block you and report you" and that kept most of the scumbags away.

Bewarned however that if you do meet a great lady as I did that getting a woman from the Philippines into the United States as a resident is quite an involved process and will take 1 - 2 years before this is approved.

To speed up the process, go to the Philippines to meet you new Filipina and marry her while you are there. Be sure to take lots of photos and videos which you can submit to department of immigration to prove to homeland security you are not just trying to get a Filipina a green card and to prove your relationship with her is real.
