terrible experience
terrible experience, poor quality 2 inch longer, did not fit and I was told I bought wrong filter cause I did not check actual size of it, unbelievable, charged me for return shipping $15 unless I exchange it with supposedly correct one for $67! (original one cost $37)

We have a recurring order with Filterbuy. They sent 2 orders and charged us an additional $60.00. We requested a refund and a return label and they will only give us a partial refund. We cancelled our subscription and Will NEVER USE AGAIN.

Poor quality and no customer service. Now they distort the facts!
Ordered 8 filters box was in good shape. Discovered later that all 8 were damaged. Company said they were after return date and would not replace
Now they claim order was 2 years old but in fact it was 6 months!

Ordered over $100 in filters
Ordered over $100 in filters. Didn't catch error in address. Used chat feature to try to update, then contacted a person who TOLD me to have the delivery refused. The security office in my building refused delivery and called to say they had done so. I got a call from a driver at RoadieXD not UPS who said he tried to deliver but was refused. I said, correct, please return to sender. Later I received a notice from UPS saying they were delivered with a picture that showed nothing but the box. No doorway, no window at Security at the building to which they were mistakenly addressed, nothing identifiable. A total phony. Filterbuy has told me tough luck. Which is doubly annoying, because I could have had the filters accepted and then shipped to me on my dime. But since THEIR REPRESENTATIVE told me to refuse them, I did. Now I'm out over $100 and am headed to hardware store for filters. So think twice about how this company treats its customers before hitting that button!
Update: Security office at my building provided video of delivery person being refused; photoing package; and then putting it back in his car. I sent it to Filterbuy and they agreed to refund. But management lost a customer. My building doesn’t log packages that are refused, so if one of the fellows in security hadn’t told me they have video and if he hadn’t taken a good bit of time to find the “delivery” I would have been out the money. You would think that a supervisor would offer to speak with security or take the gamble that I was most likely an honest person and would become a loyal customer by being treated as such.

Have been using filterbuy for a couple years now. Today I replaced a filter the same size as I always order and it is noticeably shorter in height visually and when measured there is a 1/8” difference between the new and old style filter. The entire width of the filter has a gap at the top which allows air to bypass filter. I contacted filterbuy, sent picture and explained what’s going on. They wanted me to send measurements of the new filter. They sent email stating the measurements of the filter are what’s advertised. They don’t seem to understand that their filter doesn’t fit the filter grill they advertised it for. Been in HVAC for quite some time. Now they just keep playing dumb over email. Bummer, because I really liked the price and shipping.
Poor Service
I had filters coming to me on a subscription. I had extra so it took awhile before I opened my last box. Got MERV8 when I paid for MERV13. Was told I couldn’t get a refund since it was past 90 days and had to return for a replacement. Too much trouble so I just canceled my subscription. I also found many filters damaged in previous deliveries. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend this company, and it f you do, make sure you get what you pay for.

Ordered filters 08/09/2024 and was supposed to receive 08/13/2024. It is now 08/20/2024 and have not received my order. No help from Filter Buy. They told me to call FedEx. I had to call Discover and file a complaint to get a credit on my account. I will never buy from Filter Buy again.
unwrapped dirty filters loose in a box....
filters came in the first shipment wrapped and clean. re ordered the same filters and they came unwrapped, with particles of who knows what all over them. i run a cannabis cultivation facility and cleanliness is our top priority. i order hundreds of filters a year. i expect them to be clean and wrapped at a minimum. one filter of the bunch seemed to have black mold spores growing on it......mixed right in the middle of all the other unwrapped filters....... this is not acceptable for a product in this industry.........

Sent me wrong size filter. They are not paying attention. They stole an old homebound person on oxygen money.
I’m in disbelief
I’m in disbelief. I bought 2 simple 24 x24 filters.
Went to put the filter in and it didn’t fit. I immediately thought I ordered the wrong size so I looked at the old filter and it was 24x24 as well. It literally is One half inch shy both ways and will get sucked in the intake shaft right away. People need to be warned that this company is not paying attention.

AVOID THIS COMPANY.
I finally got them to agree to providing a FedEx shipping label (at my cost, of course) but when I tried to ship their product back at the two locations near me, neither of them could either provide me with said shipping label or print one out for me. Looks like I’ll be eating the cost, for buying undersized filters since they haven’t responded to me since.

I wouldn’t recommend purchasing filters from Filterbuy. I recently purchased filters based on the nominal size of my air return, and the filters were too small. I guess they’re trying to save money by selling smaller filters?
If I want to order a filter from them that actually fits my register, I’ll need to pay extra for a “custom filter” since the actual size of my register is about 3/8” larger than what they sold.
No thanks, I’ll just buy filters that fit my register by default.
Now I get to pay to ship back the intentionally undersized filters, and not get a full refund because I happened to put one in.
Confusing filter sizes is what will keep me away from Filterbuy.

RUN! Stay away!
We ordered from this company a couple of times no issues. This year I order and they send me two order confirmations sent back to back and two orders came out of my checking account. I made one order.
I went back and forth with their customer service rep and my husband called them. They would NOT work to rectify this issue. Why would I order that many filters?? I didn’t manually select two orders. I filed with the BBB. They make lane excuses and blame me. I tried to cancel the order. They told me they would stop the shipment and didn’t. Then came the issue with fed ex.
All around bad bad bad crappy customer service. They type the emails making themselves look nice but they are not. I am on a very very limited income and had budgeted to have enough for ordering filters this year. I have a home improvement envelope that allows me to do this if I budget tightly.
I am disabled and don’t have room for error. Thanks to THEM not cooperating and canceling one order or even for paying shipping for me to laid up and take this stuff to fed ex to ship back- I am limited now on funds to get medication that I need. Because of their haughty attitude and greed for money for an order that clearly wasn’t meant to be for a SECOND order- box of 12 filters- I have to do without in areas that I shouldn’t need to.
Customer service sucks and this place sucks. I will never ever order from them again and should have read more reviews before we did.
They clearly have no people skills, concern for others, or any kind of understanding. They are out for their money no matter how it affects others.

Bought 14x20x4 MERV 13 filters
Bought 14x20x4 MERV 13 filters. Received completely unusable filters. The pleats are sagging, unsupported, and smashed into the filter box. The filter material is optimistically MERV 5. It's so thin that the wire mesh behind it pokes through.

Stay away from Filter Buy
So Filter buy changed their filters without notifying customers. They are now blue and unlike the white ones that turn dark grey when they need to be changed-now they don't change color. So, the scam is to buy them sooner because you can't tell if they are dirty or not!!!

NOT a Satisfied customer!
Last year was my first experience with this company I ordered 16x20x5, but they sent 16x22x5. I contacted customer service and they sent the very same filters again! After several emails, No satisfaction. I still have the wrong filters. I didn't even know I was getting a delivery this year; SAME wrong filters delivered! After several emails and photo's, I'll have to PAY $13.00 to get my refund!!! NOT a satisfied customer!!

Avoid at all costs
They sell filters that say they are a certain size (20x20x4) for example but they send filters that are 19.25x19.25x3.25.
When I complained, they said to read the fine print on their website.

Never again
Ordered and when they arrived they did not fit. Was given the same song and dance another reviewer was, that it is my fault that I did not measure and that not making the filters to the correct size “is industry standard”
Be warned
1) Any returns require YOU THE CUSTOMER to pay shipping
2)They record all calls but never inform you of that
3)They are unable to take responsibility or blame for even the smallest thing they do wrong

I ordered 28x30x2 and received 28x30x1. Took me a week to get a refund for the price difference that i was charged. Customer service is a joke and so is this company!
Warning - Contaminated Filters
All of the 12 furnace filters that I purchased were contaminated with what looked like oil. I actually had to peel them apart. The filters were plastic wrapped when I received them and there was no contamination on the outside, so they must have been shipped that way from the factory. I informed Filterbuy of the issue, but they were not very apologetic. They told me to throw them away and I was refunded. This is not a small issue. Who knows what type of toxins may have been circulated in my house if the filters were actually used. Filterbuy has lost my trust, and I will purchase my filters from a different manufacture in the future.

Order was placed for 8 filters on 1/15. Checked tracking # following week and said was held at Fedex facility. Chatted with Filterbuy about delay they said they would check and either get it released or send new shipment. They promised to let me know either way. After a couple of days no response. At end of week got notice Fedex delivering on 1/27. Package delivered with 2 filters and box half open. Looked at our doorbell camera and Fedex delivered it like that. Called Filterbuy immediately to report and was asked to send picture which I did, then asked to take picture of 2 remaining filters. I suggested that they refund me the whole order and give me the 2 filters for my troubles. After consulting with management was told by customer service to send the 2 filters back before any refund.They sent me a return label and told me to take to Fedex. Waited 2 weeks made 3 calls, got 25% of my order, took pictures and drove to Fedex. The least they could have done to satisfy an upset customer was give me two $7 filters. Will never buy from them again!!!
