I've had an excellent experience shopping with, and being supported by, the Birds flock! I bought my 'Blackcap' wooden frames many years ago (they are super by the way! go get some plastic-free frames!), and recently asked if I could get them reglazed. Despite not being a usual service, the Birds Team kindly and efficiently accomodated my request, including carrying out repair and adjustment work when there was a slight issue. They have gone above and beyond to make me feel valued!
I'd highly recommend people buy from this well-run, accomodating, and sustainable business!

I love Birds' frames and have had them for a few years now, for prescription glasses. Great frames - the best wooden ones I've found - and I love the ethos of the company. Birds have stopped doing online glasses, but still supply their frames to opticians. Their customer service was second to none; they sent my preferred frame (plus added extras - a lovely case and cleaning cloth) to my local optician and kept me informed with friendly emails throughout.

We love our birds! My husband and I bought sunglasses from Bird a couple of years ago and they’re still my favourite pair and as good as new whereas other branded ones have fallen apart or scratched. I’ve since bought more frames, plus sunglasses for the kids. They loved the variety of colours and they are also still good as new. Excellent quality, lovely packaging, eco friendly and great customer service. Would highly recommend.

First class service and the frames always get people asking what make they are and where can they gwt them from.

I’ve had designer frames many times but I much prefer these for the look and functionality

We bought the kids sunglasses - we absolutely loved the variety of colours available. Our children chose the Olive green, Navy and Coral colours. They've been used all summer and still look new. They are unbreakable and look amazing!

Absolutely adore my new sunglasses! I opted to pay a little extra for the HawkX option and it is definitely worth it. Obsessed with the ethics of the brand too. Will be following to watch their next move. Well done Bird

Great website, love the virtual try on feature. Good and eco-friendly company. Glasses are comfortable, durable and look great! I have 3 pairs and will definitely be buying more.

Pros: Well packed, nice case, friendly customer service people.

Cons: Very poor value for what they're asking £120 for now. The frames look cheaper than the $5 "Roy Bon" sunglasses someone gifted me from a backstreet market in Thailand. Most places do polarised lenses as standard, but you have to pay extra for this??? And all they do is reflect everything straight back into your eyes so you feel like your vision is obstructed. The lenses also don't block enough reflective sun as I expected. I feel like I'm impairing myself wearing these... isn't the opposite the point? The nose also slips every few seconds.

I expected so much more and got something very disappointing. I tried with this pair for a few months to give the benefit of the doubt, but no. I'd love to give Bird another chance if they offered, but I can't spend all that money on the risk of another pair of subpar sunglasses.

I have a pair of prescription Wren glasses. The hinge broke due to "general wear and tear" according to Bird (I looked after them) but as it was 1 month outside the 1 year warranty I would need to pay for a repair. I did this which was quick but the repair broke in the exact same place in less than a month. Gave up and went with an alternative brand. Nice looking glasses but be wary of the build, especially on the wooden framed ones with the 1 year warranty.

I love these glasses so much. I bought them in 2021 and I recently lost them, triumphantly found them only to step on them in my Dr Martens the very next day. I spoke to the team online and for a small repair fee sent them to get repaired. I snapped them on the Wednesday and had them back on my face by the Saturday. Such amazing customer service and they’re honestly such great quality. Anytime I’ve broken glasses in the past, I’ve just bought a new pair. I never, ever want to throw away my birds. They’re so comfy and stylish and you can tell they really care. Highly, highly recommend.

Love this company! They are a B Corp which holds them to highest sustainability standards. For example, they make best effort to recycle/reuse frames. Their customer service is also second to none, it is always a pleasure dealing with them.

I recently purchased some Wren glasses from bird. Excelent service, well made and all eco-friendly. Couldn't have asked for a better purchasing experience. They're a B Corp too!
